I have used Wi-Fi calling on all Princess ships and I have T-Mobile. This year I used it on Crown, Regal and Emerald - no issues. But you MUST get it configured with t-mobile BEFORE you leave the US. It has to do with 911 agreements. Go into an office and make sure it works before you go. On our 60 day South America and Polynesian Islands cruise it worked in all places onshore except Falkland Islands and Bora Bora& Papeete.

We will be cruising out of Brisbane on Princess next March. We are flying in 3 days early. Any suggestions for great hotels and must see things to do?

Not in San Pedro, but we use it in FLL every time we cruise out of there! So worth every penny

Unlimited laundry is the best perk and if it was the only one I got, I would be happy!!

We have always gotten them carried over every time automatically. Never had to ask either.

You will be just fine without a tie. Enjoy.

Be sure and turn Wi-Fi calling on your phone. Some carriers require a call to customer service as it has to be done in the switch. You also need to turn in a 911 address to your carrier.

We are just off the Regal and the lobster was not very good. Tiny tails and they are now serving a sauce over it instead of drawn butter. People were complaining loudly. I felt sorry for the servers. We were told this was a change in the menu. They used to serve prawns with the lobster. No more prawns.

IMHO it is not worth the price. Our first Alaska cruise we were told we HAD to have one - we barely used it. I would save the money and spend it on lavish shore excursions- you will enjoy them more!!

In January on Crown & Regal it was painting in the Piazza and Origami. That was all!

At this point they will know the card is old & will punch it for anything at the IC. Don't waste your punches for brewed coffee or tea but only for the specialty coffees. The Horizon has brewed coffee free all day long at the IC before 6 AM. (also OJ & cranberry juice on the counter)
There are a few different kinds of teas available at the Horizon also.
Brewed coffee is only available in Horizon court on Regal, Royal & Majestic. All others serve the awful syrup concentrate coffee.

We enjoyed the ribs a lot. They were cutting up fresh fruit salad that was great.

It sure seems bigger. We were just in one for two weeks and enjoyed it a lot. Loved the layout!

We're just off the Emerald a couple of weeks ago. It had a wall mounted dryer by the desk. You do not have to keep the button depressed, but it is not very powerful. I have fairly thick shoulder length hair and it definitely took more time to dry than at home.
I dealt with it; not bad enough that I would take a dryer from home. If you have really long hair, it might be worth it though.
Another frustration is that although there are two outlets by the desk, they are so close together that you can't plug in two things at once if they have the thicker plugs.
Thanks! We will be on 60 days and trying to minimize luggage!

You should see the ones that are on the Pacific!!
You might as well stand on your balcony and let the wind from the ship blow dry your hair.
We were on the Pacific for 38 days - so glad I took mine!

All Princess hair dryers are not created equally. Just off the Crown and they had wonderful white rectangular wall mounted dryer that worked great. On the Regal now and they have crappy dryers in the top drawer that are pitiful and you have to depress the button all the time. Anyone know what the Emerald has???

Sucks! Guess we will all be hoarding unsigned coffee cards!

We were on the Pacific Princess for 38 Days in the Iceland & Norway - Arctic circle. This ship is very small and has no sidethrusters, so it can get bumpy. We were not bothered, but others were. It is our very favorite ship in the fleet and would love to sail her again. We have been seasick on small fishing boats, but never on a cruise ship. I wish I could tell you how you are going to feel, but no one can. Weather varies from year to year too.

No set amount. Depends totally on Casino host. Some are generous and others are not. I have learned to ask politely for a drink and am almost always comped playing 3 card poker

Pre-cruise Brisbane hotel
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted
I really have done my homework and used the search feature, but I am not finding many recent hotel recommendations for Brisbane. We are coming in from the US 3 days early and would like a recommendation for a good hotel to see the sites of Brisbane and then get to the cruise terminal for our 28 day cruise around Australia. This has been on our bucket list for years and we are very excited about finally getting to see Australia! Thanks for any advice.
