Yes just done this, took a home test 2 days before and took a photo of it, they had a quick look at it during boarding and that was it
Can you use the Government FREE rapid Antigen Test kit or does it need to purchased from a commercial source ?

The steak served in Butchers Cut during both previous YC cruises were excellent but in the YC restaurant they were extremely disappointing as was the food in general.

Try. www.cruisetimetables.com they are usually very accurate and give arrival and departure times.

Have just seen your post on this.
We had booked Spencer’s land and sea tour but hubby thinks that the speedboat won’t be good for his back.
We’ve just rebooked for this one instead as it’s quite attractive with the 35% discount now 😊
Hi rach........ just a word of caution, the journey by road from Castries to the Pitons may well be worse than the speedboat. We did the journey over 10 years ago and the condition of the road surface together with it being so winding thro' mountainous terrain would give me concerns if I had a suspect back. Suggest you ask the Excursion Deck when aboard for their opinion of the current road condition as you get 24hour buffer to cancel for a full refund..... regards

We sail X frequently. Aqua class is great. We seniors like dining in Blu and find no reason to spend extra at the specialty restaurants.
We always cruise in a 2A veranda cabin and dine in Murano every night. Almost every cruise it works out cheaper than booking Aqua Class, no brainier which to chose……….

Goto 'Goggle' enter "Celebrity Dining Room Photos" - you will see that the maximum table size in the regular dining room is for 8 people. I have observed many times parties of 10 dining in both Tuscan Grille and Murano on S Class ships. Highly recommend Murano, you definitely need to book early.

Exactly the point I made - MSC block cabins for many reasons, now they block certain cabins unless you take their flights.

You are joking, why not admit you got it wrong. I use the same TA as you.

I just looked on our cruise for November, ride to resort. Lunch and tour there snd then sail back with beach stop. For two, $500. Sounds like you do think it’s worth the $?
That was the purpose of the post.
It probably would be a one off experience seeing the Pitons from the land and sea and to have lunch in an unbelievable setting in one of the most prestigious hotels in the Caribbean.

Thanks for your thoughts - Jade Mountain Resort is not offered as an option by Celebrity. If it were I think Ladera Resort is in a far better location with a photographer’s eye.

Simple, just visit their website.
As an example try 21st March 2023 Barbados YC cabin available with cruise/fly but unavailable with cruise only. It applies to all Barbados 2023 departures where Yacht Club cabins are still available. -
Has anyone taken the Celebrity Tour - Ladera Resort VIP Experience
Although expensive is it worth the money and what was the tour like.
Any comments from those that have done this tour. Thanks for any feedback

Presumably it's the 29th cruise for 14 nights? We are on that one, but booked cruise and flight independently flying VA from Manchester on 26th with a 3 night hotel stay to acclimatise .
On many of their cruises your cabin selection is drastically reduced if you choose Cruise Only. Typically, YC cabin are only available if you choose the Cruise/fly option and they just disappear if you choose Cruise only, obviously forcing people to choose their flights.

Onboard Credit offered by Celebrity seldom was above $200, nowadays they are offering $800.
They have to recover it somehow...........

What is the CC discount?
Go to Celebrity Captain's Club (CC), it lists the meagre perks at the different levels.

Current Seaside bookings give you the choice of LHR or LGW for their fly/cruise .MSC have chartered a complete flight in the past, also have done a block booking on a scheduled flight. To be certain you will either have to wait until MSC update you're booking or you can try to contact Customer Services and asked to speak to the flight Reservation Team - best of luck they are seldom helpful. The only certainty is that it will be either Virgin Atlantic or BA (if you are unlucky).

We have cruised numerous lines over the last 30 years and the only ship we would never sail again would be P&O Britannia. The behaviour of some of their passengers was disgraceful with no intervention by P&O staff. A lot of the trouble is down to last minute discounted fares attracting some very dubious characters who disgrace themselves and our country.

I am really surprised when people state MSC YC food is great/good. I am not a really foodie but the two YC cruises we experienced the food was poor and definitely not up to Celebrity standards, although I would agree that the Butchers Cut restaurant was exceptional.
-
We have been a few times with MSC Yacht Club out of Barbados. Assume you have an independent flight i.e. not arranged by MSC. If so, you will be allowed to delay your departure off the ship as a perk of YC. We would go to Carlisle Bay for the morning or just walk around Bridgetown, returning to the ship for a late lunch before taking a taxi to the airport which will take about an hour if traffic is bad. Book into the Executive Lounge (£22/pp), well worth the extra cost as Barbados airport can be a madhouse

You cant go wrong with BEACH VIEW, Paynes Bay. Highly recommended

All is fine - you have Classic Drinks Package.
I would wait to upgrade until you are aboard, it will cost the same. Remember the person who does the upgrade gets the commission, so choose the bar you intend to frequent the most and the barman/waiter. Enjoy.......

I wonder if the recent 18% price hike will dampen demand ?

Very surprised at the amount of seaweed on Fort Lauderdale beach as seen via Courtyard Webcam - never seen it at this level before.
Are Caribbean Islands seeing the same increase this year ?

………… In every case we left our usual extra gratuity.
It must be galling leaving extra gratuity when Celebrity have put a further 18% gratuity on top of the previous gratuity.
Soon the gratuity will be more than the cover charge…….!- 1

Agree. I would be a lot happier is the Unvaccinated had to do a proper witness test
