Long live buffet waiter service, safer as either Covid or Noro has gone away.

well I am doing Equinox in Aqua class and then two weeks later the Edge in non Aqua class.
I will try Murano on the Edge…………..
Suggest you try Murano restaurant on Equinox as it doesn’t exist on Edge. Murano is superb, highly recommend Cevena Venison.

Suggest OP checks prices for themselves. In all probability more like $120 according to other reports, you are little of of touch……

I think JohninDC is a little out of touch with regards to the taxi pricing for your journey………..
Not my comment, but tend to agree ……… price is now more like $120 FLL to MIA

Better option, maybe. Depends how you view $100 Uber ride against $3.75 pleasant train journey which at peak time is a lot quicker............the choice is for the OP to make, I suggested an option !

Many Hilton Hotel in Miami, which one....
Suggest you consider Tri-Rail. It's easy from FLL airport - complimentary shuttle from Airport Departure terminal to Tri-Rail station. Then $3.75 journey directly into MIA airport. You leave the train at the Car Rental terminal then a short 1 minute monorail into MIA terminals.

I also didn't realise that you were North Americans. We are fortunate that our Consumer protection is much better this side of the pond. I was refunded all money by VISA but it took 6months of waiting. To this day, almost 15 months later, MSC have not respond or refund the money.
MSC are a disgrace, I for one will never ever trust them again.

We in UK have a Consumer Credit Protection Act which holds the credit card company liable if a transaction fails to deliver its promise. I believe in USA / Canada your Credit Card companies offer a Chargeback policy in the event of a failed transaction.
Suggest you approach your CC company for advice........MSC should not be allowed to escape their obligations.
-
Do what I did - use Section 75 of the Credit Consumer Act.
There is no Time Limit to recover your money.

You just can't compare MSC to Celebrity.
MSC is like a One Star hotel without a reception desk just a night porter who never answers any question. That's one of the reason why it's so cheap, shame really as their ships are equal to the best on the seas. Love Italian food but MSC's food really is poor, just image McDonalds every meal.
Anyone tempted to try MSC just look at the reviews.........👎

????? I'm confused about this rant
Why confused ? MSC reneged on they promise.
They advertised very clearly, masks to be worn and social distancing would be enforced. They Failed on both accounts and the OP is totally justified in complaining and bringing it to the attention of everyone that MSC cannot be trusted to honour their pledges.

He has done - on numerous occasions........and will continue to do so, people need to be aware of MSC practices.....untrustworthy

Can you TRUST them to provide what you booked ? We booked YC aboard MSC Spendida, only for them to transfer booking to another MSC ship without a Yacht Club and then refuse to give a refund. Best advise to anyone is to AVOID MSC and stick with Celebrity.

What does this have to do with the YC or the Retreat?
In one word 'TRUST'

I have cruised Celebrity for 20+ years and with MSC for only 2 years. Who can you trust when things go awry ? MSC are bad news, now we avoid at all costs, its just not worth the hassle.

In the UK we always lose our deposit, that's the norm no matter what cruise line we choose. ......... but surprise, surprise Celebrity issued us with a full deposit refund for our Nov 2021 cruise. Don't ask how, as I was astonished .... pleasant surprise in these peculiar times.

Remember the Lobster is the Warm Water variety, vastly inferior to Maine Lobster. It’s pot luck, as many are poor quality although I believe for an extra $20 you can order the Cold Water lobster.
I would highly recommend the New Zealand Venison, it is usually exceptional.- 1

Celebrity cruise with confidence is a joke. Take a FCC and pay twice as much next year, fair deal, think not. Ask the question, why does FCDO advise against cruise travel at the moment. Just listen to the news, this pandemic is far from over. I wouldn’t trust Insurance companies that offer wavers, they seldom paid up, always loopholes - read their small print. Cruising is a big, big risk for the foreseeable future.

On P&O it is still 2 evenings per 7 day cruise that are formal nights which prohibit many venues on board for those that choose otherwise. Living in bygone days but a money maker for the photo shop onboard. I believe they are the only cruiseline where it’s mandatory and it’s definitely a 3 star experience, not to the standard of Celebrity for sure.

YC Inside cabin on the newer ships is a good choice as a trial. Check out Youtube for info on these Inside cabins - they are extremely small with very little wardrobe space and a very small bathroom / shower. They were designed for accompanying children so don’t be surprised by their size.
Still you can use the Spa facilities / showers if you are uncomfortable and pack lightly, definitely use their laundry services which are very reasonably priced. The handicapped Inside cabins are a real bargain if can get one of them, check the deck plan.

Quite a few have mentioned MSC Yacht Club. Be careful it’s far from a typical cruise line like Celebrity, HAL or Princess. The best part is their Top Sail Lounge which is excellent, superb service with a good choice of drinks. Elsewhere is a real letdown with poor quality food and entertainment. Outside the YC is seriously overcrowded and definitely comparable to the worst of Carnival.

It may come down to what MSC constitutes a significant change. Aurea is really only one step down from YC. But again, it really depends on who's doing the defining.
As Neil Armstrong once said “It’s one GIANT step “ much too big for us.

Any one in the US travel Marella?
in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
Posted
Why would they, the ships are so inferior to the modern ones. All Marella’s ship are ex RCL / Celebrity past their sell by date.
