Correct. That webcam image shows the midnight sun a few hours after QE left a port in Norway. I won't name that port quite yet in case someone would like to pinpoint that port from QE's past itineraries using the remaining clues in that image.
The only port noth of the Arctic Circle that I see for QE in 2012 is Tromso on 27th June.

OK so this one is a little different. The photo will come after the answer.
F. Scott Fitzgerald (The Great Gatsby, Tender Is The Night) shares his Maritime Quest board on QM2 with which other famous person (I guarantee you've heard of him).
Nobody?
Hint: I know that a couple of you have met this person.

Judging by the last three I attended on Queen Victoria they won't be a great loss.
Standards had really fallen.
I wasn't just meaning ship sponsored events. If you can't dine with other people across a six foot table I don't see meeting up in the bars or lounges as an option.
No more CC get togethers (as Hattie says, hopefully only for the short/medium term).

Glad I'm not a VIP. I wouldn't want any more attention than that already given, booking, pre boarding and once onboard.
Ditto.
But wait a minute. Maybe it's not just those on the outside that are kept in the dark. Maybe those of us already in this exclusive club are unaware of it too?

I know of no VIP booking scheme, ...
Isn't that sort of the point of an unadvertised scheme.😄

My favourite perk of Platinum and Diamond is the preferred check-in. It is promised only at New York and Southampton. It was, however, available at Vancouver last year.
Although only promised in Southampton and NY, It's been availably at every check-in we've done in the last twenty years. LA, Rome, Venice, Melbourne and Barcelona.
The only problem was at Barcelona where the local terminal personnel insisted that it was only for Princess Grill, not Queens grill, and Platinum not Diamond.
When they had dedicated desks I've known the priority queue to be longer than the normal one more than once. Probably part of the reason for the move to two lines feeding into all the desks.

Although it's based on industry consultations and guidelines this is a Cunard document. So I'm intrigued by this item: You may be asked to pre-reserve a table at our restaurants.
And I don't see any mention of it but I'm guessing that social gatherings / cocktail parties are a thing of the past.

Will be getting the best cover possible, I think I will also be self-isolating for two weeks before my cruise as well!
Although it may seem excessive I don't think it's a bad idea.

... my concern is if you do test positive in the days leading up to the cruise, will you be able to move your cruise or get credit? As I cannot afford to waste my money, and neither can my family. I am now thinking it may be best to move my holiday unless I know that I will not lose my money if I do test positive or have symptoms.
Whats everyones thoughts on this?
That's why Cunard insist you have travel insurance.

I will. Assuming Christmas even happens this year.

After posting the Pio X (or XI) glacier picture earlier, I ran across the below photo. I didn't post it before as it is ridiculously easy to identify the port with a mere google search. But it will add to our list of ports, as I don't think we've had this one before. QV is hiding behind the building, at anchor slightly offshore.
It's been 4 hours so I did as you suggested. But just in case someone wants to do it the hard way I'll just say it was taken from the Cero de la Cruz scenic overlook.

Have you made any “Snow Globe” Christmas cakes before? I’ve seen some fun ideas online for those... just a thought. You could get creative with your scene within the globe 😊
I had considered a snow scene last year. Snow covered trees, frozen pond, ice skaters, etc.
An edible globe would be an interesting challenge. I’ll give that some thought. Thanks

I usually make two or three each year. But I'm seriously stuck for an idea this year.

I started to post something along the same lines. But I couldn’t do it with a straight face.

No idea after nine days?
I’m not sure if I’ve made the same mistake as @bluemarble. At first glance I thought this was Caronia but now think it’s QE2.
As to the port? Still no idea.

Havent we already had Invergordon?
Apologies if I misled you. I hadn’t realised that Invergorden had been mentioned in relation to the meeting of the two Queen Elizabeths.
And, Yes, @bluemarble, taken from Cromarty.
