The first time we were on the Summit we had a Waiter named Ron who had a mustache. The second night he did not have one and he tried to convince everyone at the table that he was Ron’s twin brother,Don.The next night he again had a mustache .I think a few passengers actually believed him.He was a great Waiter and made everyone laugh. His Asst.Waiter was named Starsky
There can always be a lower price than the price you believe to be the lowest.
Many years ago I was part of a group that flew from NY to Texas .The organizer of the flight told us that there would be a group rate.I never knew there was such a thing.
My first cruise was to celebrate my 30th.birthday.I loved the cruise but not my wife. The next cruise was for her 50th.birthday,same reaction as the first cruise. The next cruise for her retirement. We both loved it and averaged 3 a year from then on.
My point was that not all baggage handlers are members of a Longshoreman’s union .This was being discussed earlier in this thread.

In 2006 I was at a reunion in NYC with a group of childhood friends who I last saw in 1958.One of them was a Quantum Physicist .I googled it in order that I might be able to converse with him about his job.I could not get past the first sentence.
When we were young and healthy we would go late at night to an upstairs club on Front Street directly across from where the ship docked.Crew members told us that was the place to go in Bermuda for beverages and non cigarette smoking.
Many, many years ago one of my cousins was a member of a band that eventually became Blood Sweat and Tears. In the belief that the band would never go anywhere my cousin started his own band and their first booking was at the Princess Hotel in Bermuda. He spoke to us,his relatives of the pink sand .That was the primary reason for my wife and I going there 50 plus years ago.
I assume you are not inferring that all baggage handlers at the Bayonne cruiseport are Longshoremen. On a cruise out of Bayonne before the construction the guy who took our luggage to our car was at least 70 years old.
I had a co-worker who traveled without luggage or a carry on.
He went on cruises solely in summer months. At the first port stop he bought a suitcase and clothing for the rest of the cruise, the cheapest he could find .He disposed of the suitcase and all but the clothes he was wearing on the last morning of the cruise.
