  1. Thanks! So worried about racking up charges on the cell phone bill. I want to make sure I do it right.
  2. Another question about the wifi - Should I leave my phone on airplane mode and use the ship wifi? Or do I just turn off cellular data and leave it on regular mode?
  3. Thank you! That answers my question - I will definitely need to create a new login for one of the phones so we don't have issues with using the premium plan.
  4. I upgraded to premium wifi for one person. I have downloaded the app on both my husband's phone and mine, and signed in with my login information on both phones. Should I do a separate login for one of the phones so the app doesn't think we are logged in on both devices? Or is it okay to share the same login for both phones?
  5. We board Beyond when you return. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the cruise. Glad to hear you are enjoying the food, as I have been worried based on other observations posted here. Also, hoping the drink issue at Sunset Bar is resolved as we are looking forward to relaxing there with cocktails. 😁
  6. We were on Apex two years ago in a Sunset Veranda I had put a Happy Anniversary banner in our room. Our stateroom attendant asked about it and we told him it was our anniversary. When we returned from dinner that evening we had a bottle of champagne, a chocolate cake and a towel swan and rose petals on the bed. It was lovely.
  7. You are able to choose which cabana you want?
  8. We have reserved a split cabana on the Beyond for one of the sea days on our upcoming sailing next month. We also have the premium drink package, so that did not affect our decision. We just felt that for the price it would be nice to have the food, champagne, dedicated server and other items for the day. Not to mention reading many reports of chair hogs around the pool deck and figuring this would be a nice way to have a relaxing sea day by the pool. Fingers crossed!
  9. Was the champagne Veuve Cliquot or Moet Chandon?
  10. I have seen photos of the cabanas on Beyond. There appear to be loungers in a row directly in front of the cabanas and in front of some sort of a walking area. Are those loungers reserved for the cabana occupants?
  11. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. We are doing the same itinerary in April.
  12. Although we are not the target demographic (59 and 63) we did our first Celebrity cruise in April 2022 on Apex. Previously, our only cruise was RCCL Explorer of the Seas in 2011. I was very bored on the Explorer and thought the food was okay. They had the waterslides, rock walls, etc. but that is not our thing. I think that is why we waited so long to book another cruise. Fast forward to the Apex - loved it. We enjoyed the shows, loved the World Class Bar to relax with a cocktail before dinner, and loved hanging out and dancing at the Martini Bar after dinner. We thought the food was very good and the service was outstanding at all venues except one of the main dining rooms. Our room attendant was fabulous. This was right after the re-start and the ship was probably 50-60% full. We are going on Beyond in April in a Sunset Veranda cabin. I know the ship will be quite full, so it will be a totally different situation than the Apex. We are going in with open minds and I am sure we will enjoy our trip, because a lot of the time a vacation is what you make of it. We are not foodies or wine connoisseurs, we just enjoy good food and a nice glass of wine or good cocktail. We like a relaxed vibe and don't need to be moving at a lightening pace all day and night, which is why we feel cruising with Celebrity is a good fit for us. The ability to do as much or as little as you want is our preference. I hope we enjoy our Beyond experience as much as we enjoyed Apex. Based on when we booked (over a year ago) the price was reasonable and it was with the all-included package. Got a great deal on an upgrade to the premium alcohol package a few months ago so that also was an added bonus. We do not have many years of cruising experience, but we have enjoyed the product Celebrity puts out.
  13. Thank you for clarifying. I made dinner reservations many, many months ago for the main dining rooms and was wondering if they will be honored. Glad to hear they are!
  14. Thanks! We definitely won't give it up because we like a true balcony. Just wondering if we should be prepared to hear some noise.
  15. We are on Beyond in April in SV 12303. Should we expect to hear noise from OVC?
  16. I have not yet stayed (reservation in April), but the Hyatt Place came highly recommended for proximity to cruise port as well as shopping and restaurants.
  17. Thanks so much for the very thorough explanation. Very helpful!
  18. How does this work? Do you leave the luggage out the night before as you typically would? Is there a fee? We have a long wait until our flight home and this might be a nice option so we can do something else before we head to the airport.
  19. Looking forward to this party on our April cruise on Beyond!
  20. We are sailing Beyond on a Caribbean itinerary in April. Very happy to see your review. I've been getting nervous about the sailing with all the negative comments I have seen lately. But I agree - your vacation is what you make of it. Thanks for taking the time to post your review!
  21. If I have already made my dining reservations, does that mean they won't be honored once we are on board?
  22. My Beyond April 2024 cruise is not showing any menus in the app, either.
  23. I'm confused about the upgrade price for the premium drink package. Is that only effective if you book after 10-3? Or can I upgrade on the website after 10-3 for flat $20 pp?
  24. On our very first cruise with Celebrity (Apex Inaugural Season) we were in our mid-50s, early 60s. We met a lovely couple in their early 70s who were dancing most nights at the Grand Plaza near the Martini Bar. We enjoyed talking to them and admiring their dancing abilities. We also met a lovely couple in their 30s while watching the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship game in Craft Social. We had a great time with them and stayed out later then we normally would enjoying the evening with them. The point - age makes no difference. All that matters is meeting nice people and enjoying your time on board. We certainly did and look forward to our cruise on Beyond next year.
