This will be our 74th cruise and we never had a bad one, just some have been better than others.
I also have 70+ cruises and the only bad one was when I sailed a continuing education cruise on a cruise line I don't usually sail. On the second day there was a fire in the engine room and we lost power and drifted for 3 days off San Salvador until a "rescue" ship came to take us back to Miami. The behavior of many of the passengers transferring via lifeboats regarding not following crew directions was eye raising to say the least.
I do have a good story to tell though!

Thank you. I am on a waiting list for six months to a year depending on which surgeon is available. I was considering a cancellation. Should be interesting. Maybe I will rent a scooter.
It was fairly easy to use DH's scooter in the Alaskan ports. At least compared with some of the Caribbean ports.

Good morning, an update on Wally the sea alligator, It’s posted on 6 ABC app that he was stolen and placed in a yard to scare someone. A trapper was called and Wally was captured and has been released into a swamp. The chance of being reunited with his owner is slim. Again , you can’t make this up.
Not sure that it was a good idea to release Wally to the swamp as he has been around humans and probably would associate them with food. Many of alligator "attacks" happen near areas where they have been fed and it ends up being bad for the alligator.as even if no attacks happen they are considered a nuisance and removed .

Abi the hostess will be on this sailing starring in Mama Mia but also playing in Blue Planet as another Nature. Blue Planet is only the first two days so we were kind of limited on show times. I’m may try to move up Aqua show if possible.
There is always standby if you want to try to get an earlier show. I believe that 10 minutes before the show they allow non reservations to enter if there is room. Downside for the Aqua show is by that point usually only the bench seating is available, not the chairs:

I've heard that when a car is delivered to a Boston dealership, the wires to the turn signals are cut.
I think that happens in Miami also!

Good morning Tribe Family from a sunny and very hot Kralendijk, Bonaire! We'll just get off the ship for a couple of hours to explore the port area, and then retreat back to the Havana. I wonder where my Husband Daycare will be today! 😁
Karel's Beach Bar is a shortish walk along the water. good food and great drinks!

@JazzyV so glad things went well! Wishing you continued improvement!
I’m not sure why the sunsets are so amazing either. I’ve never seen such incredible colours. And we live by the Rockies, so they can be quite spectacular here too. We have a friend that was in the USN as well, who says you can’t beat a Kona sundown! That little spider was there for two months. He hardly moved and we tried hard not to disturb him or her. I loved the little face and the ziggy zaggy, lol!
Here’s a few more, including a green flash which we see quite often but rarely capture on film.
Have been to Kona many times on land vacations and also have seen the green flash there several times. Never had much luck seeing the flash in LA or Key West at sunset. It has to be the Kona magic !!

My dad is struggling in the digital age. He sends me this picture of a jet blue plane painted in the yankee paint scheme and tells me it’s the Yankees plane. I tell him it’s not and show him where that came from.
Last time he sent me one of those leaning tower of Pisa pictures where someone was acting like it was on an ice cream cone. He thought it was actually ice cream made to look like the tower.
My DH also struggles at times. He almost fell for the recent Sunpass scam in Florida. When I said don't click on the link the text message he said " how else am I going to pay?" He hasn't used his Sunpass in months as he has had medical issues and hasn't been driving but still almost fell for it,

We went to Keukenhof this morning. It was beautiful as always! Now waiting for sail away from Rotterdam to head to the Canary Islands.
Thanks for the pictures. Living in South Florida I miss seeing Spring flowers and unfortunately am not able to travel to see them this year,

, someone two years ago even stole our home number to make calls.
Our landline number was also "spoofed". DH got very confused when the home phone caller ID said call from " HOME"
Agree that most of physician offices have some form of ID or leave a message, but calling them back is not always easy,

@Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the welcome, I have been posting infrequently to this forum recently but have been reading it daily since the beginning. It is still great that participation continues and it remains a supportive and informative thread,

Happy Thursday! As a former bartender, a quick comment on the drink of the day. A Long Beach iced tea is different from a Long Island iced tea. Long Beach uses cranberry juice instead of coke. I recommend you only have one.
Just about to post this. Can I pretend that cranberry makes it "healthier" than using cola!!

Iv’e been questioning this; is it OK that I still keep posting from our different cruise line experience to a Hal audience?
The best decision we made is not let loyalty decide your cruise line decisions but what works to recharge. The experience!
Our experience with Hal has been fantastic and we love the Hal Community.
Love the Daily. BruceAgree with @0106. The daily is not HAL specific when sharing cruising experiences. I am enjoying your current cruise updates and hope you will continue.

Paul, I check Annie's @marshhawk prescription price on GoodRx, and even with their discount, it was almost $600. Sometimes lately, I've found GoodRX to not be that good. there are other discount programs, but right now I can't remember what they are.

This has great prices for selected drugs. Unfortunately Januvia is not on the list as it is not yet available in generic form. The site is worth looking at for drugs taken for long term maintenance. It does require that the physician send in a new prescription, transfer from existing pharmacy was not available when i used it.
