My preference is not have have anyone complaining about how others post.
That topic really seems to increase the daily number of pages whenever it's brought up!!

There are so many ways to post, computer, phone (iPhone Android Google) and various tablets as well as posters with different levels of knowledge, familiarity and physical abilities that affect how people post. The only important thing is acceptance of each other's methods and willingness to listen respectfully to suggestions for improvements,
As was just shown we can all keep on learning shortcuts and ways to simplify posting.
Peace,

I found that if you just press the and hold the start of the section you want to quote, and highlight the area and select the quote that pops up, you can then move to the next post you want to quote a portion of, and repeat, it will quote both with a space between to type your comment.
I'm amazed that I actually knew this and have used it when using my tablet to post. It's pretty useful at times.

Good morning everyone,
I have finally caught up with last week's postings. I was sailing on the Allure again, last minute booking one of the benefits of living near the Port!
I know I will miss someone if I try to reply individually so I wish everyone happy celebrations and strength to those going through difficulties at this time.
This group is appreciated and it is great to keep up with everything going on in each other's lives.

@0106 thanks for today's recipes . I make the tomato based shaksuka for breakfast/brunch at least once a month, having learned to enjoy it when I visited Israel many years ago. I had not heard of a green version and the Mexican inspired version is calling my name. It would be a great light supper. Especially as today is tequila day and a margarita could be enjoyed with it.

That's not good. Aperol should be a staple in any bar. Must have for Aperol Spritz and Royal's Passion Spritz.
Agreed, bar manager said he ordered it but none was supplied in Florida. He's hoping for some for the next cruise. The good news is they no longer seem to rationing cherries in the Rum Old-fashioned!

Ship is busy typical summer sailing not too many high status cruisers. It seems better staffed than our cruise in May. So far the only item missing because of supply chain issues is Aperol!!!! Bartender in Trellis bar substituted Campari with my permission not quite the same but drinkable. Mint is in plentiful supply for my dark rum mojito this time.

The mosquitoes here are huge. And for some reason they love me. Linda and I have talked about getting a screened in porch just for that reason. As nice as our patio is I don't think we will be using it this week. Temps are ridiculously hot.
Are you doing anything special excursion wise in Roatan?
Not this time DH uses a mobilty scooter now so we just rode around a little in the port area bought some local rum and gifts for his daughter. It's just nice to be on a ship and not have to think about what to make for dinner!

I was just notified a few minutes ago that Buddy has passed away. My twin and her DH were able to be with their daughter Amy at her home. I'm sure the two kids are there too but I have no more details. It's not easy becoming a widow, but especially at age 47. May he rest in peace. Pray for strength for the family.🙏😢
So sorry to hear this, condolences and prayers for the family.

I noticed the rain when I was up walking through my painful leg issues. Waking up in pain is a real problem lately. It's worse since my flight home from London. It might be vein issues but I'm no doctor.
Please try to get evaluated to make sure that this is not a blood clot in your leg from your flight and the travelling. I had a friend some years ago who got a clot and had several months of problems before it resolved. Now I always wear compression socks when I travel.

Thank you Sharon. It's pretty shocking and we're all trying to comprehend how all these cancers came so quickly after saying after the December throat surgery that they thought they had all the cancer. The secondary cancer was lung cancer though so even if they got all the original cancer, this was something new.
Today my twin tested negative and released herself from her quarantine. She went out to Amy and Buddy's house to help out. She told me Amy went to the funeral home to make arrangements, and that the hospice nurse said he should only have a few days left. Heartbreaking.
This is heartbreaking especially after how much he went through with the chemo and radiation. I worked in oncology for all my career and even after 50 years of advancement in treatment some tumors were just so aggressive that it seemed that nothing stopped them, including the one that took my mother at age 52.
Hopefully his remaining time will be pain free and peaceful and that family and friends will be able to say their goodbyes. Nothing can really prepare you but sometimes having the resources of hospice is
a blessing.

Tomorrow is my moms surgery day. I have to have her there by 11am for the 2pm procedure. Spent part of the day preparing her retirement home room, on zoom class and work emails. Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter, overall.
Hoping you have a quieter day a day everything goes smoothly. It will be good to have the procedure completed.

Where can I find this?? I would love to watch this. I've always been fascinated by the Royals.
It's on Starz and is the story of the three orphaned children and the political things going on with people trying to get power. There is the background of catholic and protestant religious changes. Looking at it with today's eyes there is also some heavy duty "grooming " going on which is documented in historical documents.

I tend to watch everything I can on the first Elizabeth. She has really captured my interest. It was pretty awesome to see her tomb at Westminster Abbey.
Are you watching Becoming Elizabeth?. I have always been fascinated by the Tudors and am enjoying this series. It starts when Henry V111 dies.

Good morning everyone.
Happy Canada Day to all Canadian dailyites. I just checked and the last times I was in Canada was in October 2019. I had plans for The Rockies. Vancouver/ Whistler and Canadian Maritimes in 2020 and 2021, we all know how that went.
I have tentative plans for the Rockies in spring 2023, love the Icefields Parkway drive. amazing scenery.
hope everyone has a great weekend!

Living in SoFlo we need A/C most of the year. Usually 76 or 77 during the day a little cooler at night as the bedroom is usually warmer and I need it cooler to get a good night's sleep.

DH doesn't drink alcohol every so if I run out I can use his. He tends to go to bed earlier than me and I wander around the ship visiting trellis and champagne bars.
