My husband once brought his Mother's passport and proudly presented it. Fortunately we live near the port and he had time to drive home and get his, he was upset that he had to pay for parking twice in the same day and lost his great parking space.

Great wave action. Closed in the afternoon in the solarium. Final day pools were all closed and drained in the morning, hot tubs were still open.

Hi Sid,
Just got back from a cruise yesterday and am officially caught up with your travels. Am enjoying your trip immensely, hopefully you will take time for yourself, we will be here whenever you post.
Loved reading about your time in Miami. I live in SoFlo and visiting relatives are always shocked I do not go to Miami often. Somehow when I'm on vacation a $19 cocktail doesn't seem that expensive but on a work weeknight it does.
Looking forward to your San Juan and St Maarten posts, was there last week and had a great time.

St Kitts today required ID leave the port area to return to the ship. When I got my passport renewed last time I I also got a passport card that I use for ID. Don't like to take my driver's license as it is a pain to replace if it's lost.

Glad you are enjoying Celebrity.
I have never really understood why you need an ID since your picture shows up on the ship’s computer when they scan your card. Even if I lost or someone stole my card at a port, I don’t see how someone could use it to get on the ship, unless security didn’t pay attention to the picture, which they seem to always do (or make it look like they do).
This was required at Port security not getting on the ship, only Seapass there.

Question...at the stop in Key West they were completely nuts in that you needed a picture ID and your "Sea Pass" card. In all my years on Royal I don't think I've EVER took pic ID with me off the ship. ???
Just got back on the Vision in San Juan. As always at this port needed to show ID and Seapass. I remember that id always is required at Nassau also.

Unfortunately, that went away with COVID. Prior to COVID and the Happy Hour with free drinks at most bars, there was an event held in the Sky Lounge for Elite and above with free drinks, same drink selections as now, and with some really good finger foods. It was not buffet style like in the Diamond Lounge but finger foods severed from a tray by servers who circulated throughout the Sky Lounge. It was quite nice.
This was back last week on Silhouette, was very enjoyable drinks were plentiful and finger foods varied and delicious

Just got back from a 10day on Celebrity Silhouette as matched Elite. Don't miss the breakfast for elites and up daily. Can get coffees and mimosas bloody Mary's and bellinis No hot food but the salmon bagels were great. There were a couple of meet the officer type gatherings with very plentiful drinks and snacks, well worth attending. I really enjoyed the cruise, food and service in MDR was excellent, felt the whole cruise was a step above my recent cruise experiences. Have booked the reflection for next month after Vision next week.

@ottahand7 Bed sores are the worst and with all the pain your DB is having I'm sure they will get worse as he spends so much time lying down. A few years ago I was peripherally involved with a study that was using Manuka honey and some people got good results. I don't know if there was any conclusion as I retired before the study ended but maybe it's something you could talk to his medical team about. Hopefully he will improve at the rehab facility.

I've had problems on many platforms. One thing that seems to work several times is logging into
www.cruisecritic.com
That works. From there I have selected "boards" from the top of the screen which brings up the boards but not yet logged in.
From there when I select "Login" it seems to recognize my credentials from the parent website.

I was just about to post this as it is what finally worked for me!

Is Sabor available for lunch? I think our sailing on Allure (in 2020) only had it open for dinner. We really enjoyed it, I hope you and Sharon do too!
We had a meat hangover when were done eating so I highly recommend you have a light lunch with no meat if you go to Sabor's for dinner.
Are you thinking of Samba grill in the solarium at night?

Probably no cruise ships have ever put a ring on one of their ships since! Not a very good idea.
i heard that Virgin Voyages has an outdoor boxing ring.

Harvest Festival (United Kingdom)
Harvest Festival
Observed by United Kingdom
Type Cultural, religious.
Date The Sunday closest to the harvest moon
Frequency Annually
The Harvest Festival of Thanksgiving is a celebration of the harvest and food grown on the land in the United Kingdom. It is about giving thanks for a successful crop yield over the year as winter starts to approach. The festival is also about giving thanks for all the good and positive things in people's lives, such as family and friendships. Harvest Festivals have traditionally been held in churches but also in schools and sometimes in pubs. Some estates and farms used to hold the harvest festival in a barn. In some towns and villages the harvest festivals are set so that the different churches do not have it on the same day. People bring in produce from their garden, allotment or farm, and even tinned and packaged food. Often there is a Harvest Supper at which some of the produce may be eaten. Typically surplus produce is given away to a local charity, hospital or children's home, or auctioned for charity- 18

Great idea on 2 of device charges, DH either forgets his or brings the wrong one (shaver charger one time!!) And then uses mine, not a problem if we are in the same room but difficult if we have to quarantine separately.

I have a generator, food and of course, wine. So, I’m prepared 😉
Living in So Flo we always make a thermos of coffee before going to bed when a storm is expected, just in case. Also fill the bathtub with water, can be used for flushing!! With a generator you should be fine but during Andrew we lost our generator due to palm trees falling on it. The coffee was greatly appreciated
Good luck and keep us informed when you can.
Mary.

Yeah. Got my 5th vaccination today.
Me too, going to Europe next month so decided to go for it. Had my first flight since lock down last weekend and finally decided to get the bivalent vaccine even though I really don’t appear to need it to travel,

The Nieuw Statendam is using Port Canaveral next month as a port call before returning to Ft Lauderdale. I would have rather had Charleston or Savanah but will look forward to PC. Anybody know why Holland America likes to stop there southbound from Canada/New England? I've done Charleston twice, on the Maasdam, northbound in the spring, which was really nice.
The last time I took the relocation cruise, a percentage of cruisers actually disembarked in PE to return home. There is a large over 55 community, The Villages, just north of Orlando and there was a large group of cruisers from there on the ship

We were in a Veranda on the Westerdam in June, there are no outlets for a CPAP machine near the bed. You need at least a 10ft extension cord or more (tripping hazard). Best is to ask your room steward for the outlet and extension cord. On a past cruise, we had a steward tape down the cord, not that lucky on our June cruise.
I put a beach towel on the floor over the cord at night to help with the tripping issue.

Yes, Celebrity allows 2 bottles per passenger over 21 for US departures.

You can tell it's EN by the bridge/walkway midship on the pool deck from when she was stretched.
Just beat me to it, adds a bit of interest to deck walking.
