Actually Hobby has more than you think.

America really only has 4 main airlines anymore

    American, Delta, United, and Southwest.

All of them fly to Houston Hobby  except United.

Jetblue and Spirit are at Bush with United.

But you have 3 major airline choices at Hobby, and the cost and time  getting to the port is less than half that of Bush

Unless you're flying in internationally or from Hawaii, Fly into Hobby, it just makes sense.

No direct flights from ORD to Hou.  Southwest is out of MDW and not worth the trouble. IAH would be good if you could get a reasonable rental that could be dropped at Galveston.

Sorry lmaxwell not meant to be a brag. It's just the point system has changed so much that turning diamond is now attainable. I try to find cheap junior suites for the double points.

The old system was a point a cruise. So you literally had to take 25 cruises to be diamond. Now you don't.

I remember it being 10 cruises/points to make Diamond.

Just received email notification that due to an “Unexpected emergency” Tomorrow’s Majesty boarding is delayed until 2pm with set sail at 6-anyone on board now that can shed any light on the reasons?

    thanks

    Saw this posted.

If you’re going out on Majesty of the Seas in the morning, you may be boarding late. We’re limping back to Ft. Lauderdale now with damaged engines.

    And this:

They first told us that we wouldn’t be back until 10:30am but then they were able to make some repairs. They are now saying 9:30. They said to come to guest relations if anyone needed help with changing plans.

Fingers-crossed! The demographics of the West coast today versus what they were when RCCL based ships there year-round (back in the 90’s??) have changed dramatically, along with a significant increase in air lift (flights) to the L.A. area to get those of us from throughout the SW and NW to board these cruises. The business case for returning ships (at the very least seasonally) to the L.A. area can be made.

    The Mariner left in 2011.

Sorry if this was posted elsewhere. On Allure now. The captain confirmed that the propellers have been removed from the starboard azipod and are sitting on the dock at Port Everglades until the TA. This was done to prevent further damage. The ship’s cruising speed has been reduced by about two knots to about 18 knots.

I thought they did this a few weeks ago and left T 18 after midnight.

We all met up and made our way off the ship.  I've only been to Labadee 1 other time, on the Allure in 2013 and I lasted about 5 minutes out in that heat before I headed back to the ship.  Actually, that's a lie.  I was there in 2010 on the Freedom, on the day of the Haiti Earthquake, but, we didn't stay because the weather was bad.  Prescient, right?

We were on the Freedom too that day.  It was happy hour up in the DL when the news flashed on the tv.

Bar hop information about the meet up. A few days before your cruise you will receive a handy dandy email like this with all the important information. Please note this is our meet up time for our particular cruise. Your hop and time may vary depending on your ships visit here in Cozumel...

Is the tour that the Canadian who used to work at Paradise Beach, runs?   Or does he run the competition ?
