The long tunnel is between Whittier and Anchorage, if your ship goes that far.
-
The minute (I'm a slow reader) you save by filling out the form early won't get you on the ship any sooner, you do it while waiting. I've never had to wait for a place to fill it out.

We've done the full transit twice, and enjoyed both. We had some different ports on each, and really did like seeing Panama City, but I agree, 10 days is much better than none:).

Here are the balconies that don't connect on Ruby (sorry that they're so hard to read, it's coming from a chart :)):

We were recently in C535/601 on Ruby Princess and the divider did in fact open.

We've saved leftovers a time or two (birthday/anniversary cake etc.) but never got around to eating them.;) Too much good food everywhere you look.

There is a cookoff of Copper river Sockeye in Seattle today, caught and flown to Seattle yesterday and being served today.
Sorry, a little off topic. ;)

On our recent cruise we had 12 family members. To avoid stress we agreed that everyone do their own thing. We had contact thru Princess Messenger and just let others know where we were headed.
We had breakfast almost every day at Horizon, we found the big tables often available even if it was crowded. It really wasn't much of a problem (we were seldom all there at once).
-
I save a little on buy as you go, but the AIBP is worth a little extra to me. After all, I'm on a cruise!
-
cruised many times with Princess and usually there are at least a couple of name announcements at departure time and each time Princess has waited for them at least 30 minutes.
I still feel sorry for what happened to this lady I am certain she has an explanation.Very few folks are that selfish to hold up a ship .
But no matter how good my excuse is, I wouldn't expect the ship to wait for me!

On the Ruby last month, they just kept the lobster coming! I didn't want to waste it, and almost made myself sick :) They weren't about to let you leave hungry. And as someone said above, the ribeye was as good as a steak gets!
We ate there twice in 7 days.

Our grand daughter wanted us to all get together on our balcony on formal night to get some photos, and dropped the news there. It was perfect because everybody had a camera, we got lots of pictures, and it was a total surprise.

The specialty restraints are discretional spending as is the cruise itself. I notice the prices in the grocery store doing the same thing, but we'll keep going there.
-
For our recent cruise on Ruby, we had 13 in our group, kids, spouses and grandkids. We just used our respective lines, it was really no problem at all.
-
Sorry, I do not have that information but sure someone will answer soon.
Just wondering if you know, barring any issues handling your own luggage, our public transit system, Skytrain provides a direct link between YVR and Canada place. Hop on right at the airport and emerge just a very short distance from the cruise ship entrance.
Do they accept US$ or credit card?
-
Paper cards with daubers. Don't know what it costs.
-
Yes' date=' I agree. The current Princess system works great.
I have never had a problem getting the day and time I wanted, at Crown Grill, Sabatini's, or Sterling Steakhouse.[/quote']
100% agree!
-
I've read on here that the FCC's can be extended, but you'll get your $ back if they are allowed to expire.
-
We've done PC twice, once on Coral and on Island (before mod) and the aft prom deck was blocked off durring transit both times. My guess is for line handling safety.
-
Not if you get to "know" your bartender they won't. We always ask them not to open any bottles.
Then there's nothing to stop you from using your AIBP to buy for all of your friends. I'll bet they've thought of that.

Thanks mina. That suite is available on our cruise (starboard equiv). Now I am seriously tempted.
That looks amazing. How do you think it would work for Alaska? Can you see much to port side - eg leaning over a bit?
My thinking is that from an aft facing balcony you can see both sides. We were on the Island for a Panama Canal cruise just before her modifications and spent a lot of time on the rear viewing area aft on Caribe deck. There were very few people there, and the viewing was great!

for aft suites == try for one of the two that wrap around the back on the aloha dec A726 or A 727. We were in A727 and it was perfect -- balcony covered on the side and open on the back -- would be perfect for Alaska. The full aft suites do not have a lot of cover and I have heard that some of the ones on the lido deck vibrate. No vibration at all in A726.
I looked at those corner suites but unfortunately they weren't available. We wound up with A729 (next door). Maybe next time. Thanks!

We're trying to pick our first suite for an Alaska cruise in August on Island Princess. Any advice would be appreciated, but I'm looking at some aft facing suites, one behind the teen center or one behind the youth center, is this a good idea? I do have some others to choose from of which I like C704.
Thank you for any and all help.

They sell them in the gift shop, and will punch the card for you.

Our Ruby Princess cruise is scheduled for 8 hrs there, but we stop in San Diego on the way, which may make the difference.

One of our favorite excursions was from there. We did the ships volcano tour. The guide can make it or break it, and we had a good one.
