I was about to ask if anyone has the inside dimensions of the safes, as I thought I'd read comments in a discussion thread on onboard thefts regarding placing iPads and cameras inside the safes.
I'm guessing, but about 12"w x 8h x 8d

The extra charge items are discretionary, you could have nice cruise without any of them. That being said, we allow for extra spending just as we would for a land vacation.

The carpet color trick is one I use a lot. To clarify, port side hallways have red border at the edges and starboard side has blue. You can tell at a glance which way to turn when you exit the elevator.

We were near the canter elevators on the Emerald and DW said she could hear the ding every time an elevator stopped on our deck. I didn't notice because I was asleep:D. We won't choose one that close again.

I think I'll book it. My wife will definitely enjoy it and I enjoy anything food related!
Do you know whether it's OK for someone to take pictures? My wife is a photo - taking enthusiast.
Thanks!
Take all the pictures you want. I found that I was missing out on other things because I was distracted by taking photos.

They don't make it hard to spend! And I for one would like to thank them for it. It's a great gesture.

Thanks for all the answers! I gather that it's no big thing, but we moved anyway.

Hi!
We've been assigned a balcony cabin that says it can sleep 3 or 4 on the Island Princess. Is there a disadvantage with only 2 people? Space occupied by extra beds?
It's for a Panama cruise 1/20/15, so shouldn't be a problem to change.
Thanks

The forward view is a little restricted by the bump out on C312, but it does have a nice large balcony.

We have had a top notch PVP, and if he were still there we would have stayed with him, but he moved on. We've had 2 others that were not so good, so we changed to a TA. I don't really know for sure if we get a better deal with the TA, but so far feel comfortable with her, and that's important for me.

We've signed up twice, and were selected twice. The second time was canceled due to a noro scare. The point being, we liked it enough to try again, and will again.
I called the dine line as soon as we got into our cabin.

Tour of Space Center Houston is for those with domestic flights after 3 PM and international flights after 4 PM. Cost is $99 for adults and $79 for children including the xfer to the airport.
Transfer without the tour is $24/person.
We took this tour/transfer and I wouldn't recommend it, simply because there's too much at the space center to see, and so little time to see it. The few we did see were rushed.

We felt that the nut farm tour was a waste of time. It may be interesting if they were operating, but we just looked in the windows at stacks of pallets and a parked fork lift. They do have a store there where they sell their product's, but you can buy them in town.

We've done it, We caught the rent car shuttle at the dock and were on our way from the airport in the car in 30 minutes. I've read here that sometimes they ask for proof of reservations in order to use the free shuttle, but they didn't ask me. I think the shuttle is for Budget and National. We used National.
We drove around sight seeing for a while, then rode the water taxi for a while. The crew of the water taxi gave us advice on where to eat, and even got us a discount, we were very pleased with that choice.

There is a smoking area port side on the Promenade deck, midship. It would be quite a bit forward, and below E710.
I'm a non smoker who doesn't like the smell, but didn't notice it much while walking the deck.

We did LA to FLL, enjoyed the cruise but didn't like the jet lag coming home to Alaska. We're booked again for the other direction 1/2015, I think the jet lag will be much easier to deal with, and give us a little different prospective.
