We cruised Princess alot in the past but we switched to NCL several years back. We like the mix of passengers and laid back atmosphere on NCL.

We were on the Equinox 11/30 to 12/10. We have cruised a lot but this was our first cruise with Celebrity. All in all we thought it was a wonderful cruise. Our room steward was outstanding. The ship was full but never really felt full. We found the passengers to be a much older crowd. We found most to be nice and friendly. We did witness what could have been a very bad accident. A man who clearly had his limit at the Martini Bar fell as he got up from his bar stool. He got up and stumbled towards the atrium railing and nearly went over before a man standing nearby grabbed his arm. They put him in a chair and as two ship's people in Uniforms were standing near by he got up from his chair and nearly went over again before another man grabbed him. I have to say many were getting their money's worth with the liquor package....I will leave that there..... We enjoyed the shows and went to almost all of them. We really enjoyed the Cruise Director, Crystal, with her high energy. She mentioned it was her first cruise as Cruise Director. Getting off the ship was at first a little confusing as everyone lined up and snaked through the Theatre before going down the gangway. Once we got off it was easy to find our luggage and our way to the parking garage even though we embarked at pier 25 and disembarked at pier 19. We enjoyed Celebrity and booked the Apex for the Norway and Arctic Ocean cruise in 2025.

We embark on Thursday and we just received our declination of our 3 bids we placed months ago.

Did you put a luggage tag on the bottled water and give to the porter or did you carry it on?

Glad to hear the buffet is good. I had previously read they had really limited the variety of food there. Do you remember the hours the buffet is open? We will be boarding in November. Thanks!

I read that Gold and above have priority with tender tickets. I read somewhere that you do not need to get an actual ticket you can just get in line and show your cruise card. Anyone familiar with how this works? Thanks!

Has anyone recently disembarked in Civitavecchia and taken the NCL shuttle to the airport in Rome? Wondering if the ship gives you a set time to disembark to the shuttle or can you get off anytime. Also, is it best to take your own luggage off?

Lobster was an add-on in Cagney's for $25. It was so small....not worth the $

If you ever have the opportunity of driving to Valdez from Anchorage do it! The scenery along the way is incredible and it's an easy, non-congested drive. The town itself is very small and not much to see but the excursions to the glaciers are so worth it. As far as NCL cancelling ports it seems this is their new way of doing business. We are scheduled to visit Venice on the Gem in August and rumor is that the port has been removed. The few recent cruises did not get the notice until the day before the change. NCL seems to be selling cruises with no intention of going to some of the ports.

We have BOGO flights with Delta from Tampa to Atlanta and then Atlanta to Venice. We only have 80 minutes when we land in Atlanta to get to the International Terminal for our flight to Venice. Hopefully our flight will leave Tampa on time otherwise that is really cutting it short. I would not mind taking an earlier flight to Atlanta but with the BOGO flights NCL will not let us change.

We are on the August 14 NCL Gem out of Venice (Trieste). They pick us up at the airport and take us to the AC Hotel Venice. On the sail day they will pick us up and transfer us to the Gem in Trieste. As we have never been to Italy before we felt more comfortable booking everything through NCL.

We are going in 3 days early on their airfare promotion and staying in their hotel in Venice.

Last I heard about an hour ago from my daughter on the ship is they are set to leave about 1:30AM. That may delay their port arrival tomorrow. That is all she has heard so far.
