  1. The Governor's Pub was the only place we saw lobster roll - not many easting places. The have two menus - the lobster roll and other lobster dishes were on a separate menu. We will not go back there after having to great Lobster Rolls in Charottletown and Halifx - will be going back there on the return trip. The only food truck we saw was in Newport, RI
  2. Last gift was a bag with a floppy hat/skipper hat (princess emblem all over), a beach chair cover, packing cubes and a princess flag. Packing cubes will be nice, won't fly the flag.
  3. we paid $20 for 3 0z lobster roll in Newport RI we are now hitting the Canada stops and they have all been 4oz roll for $29.00CAD or $22,00 usa
  4. today was Port Charlottetown plenty of places for lobster as you get off the ship. We walked around and ended up at the Peake's Wharf area, not too far walk to the left of ship. Saw a Davy;s Lobster 4 oz lobster roll and chips were $29.00 CAD - for a few dollars more (don't know how much a few dollars more) they will give you 5 oz. We ordered it warm with butter - very good again you will see lots of places and they are pretty much the same price.

We are on a cruise currently that is booked as Casino VIP We received a lanyard with our name and the date of the cruise with VIP Casino Drink Card" Our 2nd night we received a plate of chocolates 4th night we received a plate of chocolate dipped strawberries last night we got a bottle of Brut - Prestige Collection 1887 Mionetto The drink card you show to the server and they bring you any drink - no charge - no limit
  6. this has been my experience. say you are offered a free inside cabin go to the cruise on the princess website and look at the categories; inside = $799, oceanview = $899, balcony $1199 etc if you want to move up to Oceanview they would charge you $200 ($100pp) if you want to moe up to balcony you would pay $800 ($400 pp) we are on a cruise which we received a free inside and it cost us $1200 to get a balcony
  7. I don't play black jack, but slots. When you first go to the casino you tap your medallion to the slot machine. A menu comes up and you have to create your account. You are asked your birthdate and you choose a four digit numer code. You will use the code everytime you want to play on a machine. You now put money in your casino bank that money amount is charged to your cabin. So let's say you want $500. You now have casino money and you can choose to play part or all on the machine. Once you are tired of playing that machine and want to move on you hit the cash out button and it puts the money back to your "bank" - you now go to another machine and pick from your bank how much you want to play. All monies are charged to your cabin when you choose to get more money. If you have OBC on your cabin, it will be reduced down. Your $500 minus the $100 obc - you now have $400 on your cabin. At the end of the cruise if you have money left on your casino bank you go to the cashier and get any monies out. If you want you can take that cash and go to guest services and apply it to your cabin account.
  8. I don't know how things work with the ArriveCan, but know has asked to see any of our paperwork. Our first stop on this cruise was Saint John and we just walked off the ship.
  9. Back to Guest Services and all is correct now. While I was being helped two other guests were getting their accounts fixed with the same problem - mystery drink charges from the Island Restaurant. I told the rep that she should report to her supervisor that something is going on with the Island Restaurant bar service - a got the deer caught in the headlight stare - so guessing nothing will be done

  11. we are currently on NYC to Quebec City and doing the return Quebec City bathisck to NYC - total 20 days. All of the stops are repeat, except once in Newport, RI, once in Saint John going, not hitting those stops coming back. Newport RI - we ate at the Newport Lobster Shack. when you get off the tender boat go to the left - there will be a portable food truck, but we walked to the main eatery, the lady can give you directions one 3 oz lobster roll is $20.00 and one 6 oz is $29.00 We did not eat in Bar Harbor - we will hit somewhere when we return next week. Did not eat in Saint John Halifx - we got off and walk to the right and followed down the port - we were at pier 22, go past 21 and continue to the walk along the water. In the middle about 1/2 mile is a bunch of different eateries. One was Dave's Lobster. For $29.00 CAD it was a 4 oz lobster roll with chips (comes is about $22.00 US) - very good - had it warm with melted butter Sydney - get off the ship go past the big Fiddle - walk up the hill to the street "Esplanade" cross at the light to the other side and continue to walk down the street (going to right) a few buildings down is the Governor's Pub - a black building. Lobster roll lunch is $29.00 CAD with fries - again about $22.00 US not as good as Davey's but okay will report more stops when we have more lobster rolls
  12. We are currently on board. Neither are open and they are using the seating area for over flow for buffet. I asked about the two area and I was told that they will never open again
  13. It is now going to be 3 days getting this corrected. If you wait until the last day, it may not get corrected before you get off the ship. And you may be in line with a whole lot of people. If you don't want to check everyday, don't - not hysteria, just a warning.
  14. I have an Iphone 6, the app won't work on that old of phone, need Iphone 6S or higher. Either way, I don't put apps on my phone. Having it on my husbands phone is enough
  15. I bought a chain holder from Amazon, looks nice and have used it for the past five cruises. Yesterday it broke - one of the links bent and separated, so I switched back to the Princess provided material one. I was able to fix the chain, but I don't want to take a chance of it coming apart again.
  16. Update: went back to Guest Services as my husband's phone showed the charges were still there. Got a different rep and removed the charges. I asked for a printout and when we got back to the cabin I saw that he left one of the charges on there - so I have to go back.
  17. we are onboard until the 20th, so we lots of time, but I will give them 24 hrs to remove the items. If new charges show up, I will then ask for my account to be closed and open a new one (if their system can handle that). This is the first cruise in a long time that we did not have the princess plus package. I am wondering if we have had other drinks charged to us, but because we had the drink package there was no money charge.
  18. We boarded the Caribbean on Aug 31st - NYC to Quebec City. My Iphone is too old to have the medallion app. My husband is okay. Yesterday I checked our onboard charges and he had two drink charges that we did not order. One in the Wheelhouse and one in the Island Restaurant (we had not eated in any restaurants yet) I went to the guest services and asked for a printout. My account has 3 more charges - all Island Restaurant. Told them not our charges and they are going to check into it. This is a total of $100 of drink charges we did not order - we don't have a drink package. We are on a Casino VIP cruise and any alcohol drinks we want are free in the casino. Which we might get one drink a day. So we know it is not us. now I will check our account every morning to see the charges.
  19. we are currently on board - Lido Deck. First time on this deck and we really like it, we walk 50 ft down the hall and we are outside on the same deck as the pizza, BBQ, buffet and and take pictures coming and going to port. The room seems smaller than the Discovery and Majestic and Ruby that we were on in Dec 2021 and April 2022 and June 2022, We have had no problems until last night the toilet would not flush. I called Guest Services and they said they working on the problems, it sounded like it was "a lot" of cabins. I asked if it was ship wide, or just our deck, but he was not giving me an answer. Later, I heard it flush by itself and it is working this morning
  20. we were late getting clearance on our cruise, so it is best if they plan to get off later and then call and give you updates.
  21. We used EZ Air for your cruise in June, no problems Currently on a cruise. Used EZ Air to get from California to NYC and will return in 3 weeks NYC to California. I would check our flights with American Airlines at least once a week to make sure that everything was staying the same - no one changed our flights or if times were changed. This is a problem with the airlines and not EZ Air. If you get a change (which we did in the very beginning of the booking) call EZ Air and get them to change you to a flight time that works better for you. We were changed from a stop in DAllas to a direct flight home but we would never make it to the airport in time (on the return). I called EZ Air and got a flight leaving around 1:00p and stops in PHX, which is closer to home. No charge for changing the flight
  22. We just left 3 days ago from the Red Hook pier. caution: Anyone taking a cab or car service to the pier, give the driver the address listed in the post above. Our driver picked us up at our hotel and gave us the tour of Brooklyn because dispatch gave him the wrong address. Cost us $35.00 for the cab ride and we were 10 minutes away.
  23. Anyone that is catching a Princess cruise that goes out of "Brooklyn" - Red Hook port please take note: We fly in yesterday (one day inadvance) and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel in Brooklyn. This morning we got up, checked out of hotel and asked for a taxi to be called to take us to the port. The front desk girl called someone and requested a ride - they took us outside and it was a private car - not a taxi - at that point I should have said no. They guy drove around for 30 minutes, did not have the correct address for the port and said that his dispatch gave him the wrong address - We paid $35 for the messed up ride. Our taxi cab from LGA to our hotel was only $32 last night Do not take a ride unless it is a legit taxi and make sure you have the address to give the driver. I kept telling him the street and the pier number, but his english was horrible and he kept saying that his car was giving him wrong info Not the way I wanted to spend my first day.
  24. the sushi on the Majestic is wonderful. We ate there 3 times on the last cruise
