I like hearing how you gardeners sort your gardens out . Now we are retired we tried to make the garden more manageable and decided one of the hedgerows must go as they were getting to much for us . Mrs K bought a few flowers and I must say the Bees are loving it and we also made good use of one of our disused fish ponds and it's looking good . I'm more of a cauliflower man and whilst the Mrs is no Carol Klein I must say she's going in the right direction Before.. After ... They are looking good

Hi, I hope everyone is doing ok today . Yesterday was a surprise for Mrs K for our anniversary as she is a big fan of Art Deco era and I managed to find a four star hotel not to far away that fitted the bill . The Sunday lunches were out of this world , veg etc ,served like P&O used to serve. As a further treat we stayed for the night and the breakfast was just as good , just about everything on offer as well as fish . I like cruising but for the time being I could get used to these staycations . Just had a nice walk around a park next door , soon be time for lunch , me thinks the chippy is on the menu today . Thought for the day ... Every one in the UK buys petrol buy the litre ,yet when out on a journey they want to know what the MPG was , not miles per litre

Who knows time will tell , not everything is going up though but all is not what it seems . I think I have been subject to "Shrinkification " .It sounds a nice word but it isn't . This morning sat eating my super toasty bread I've noted it getting thinner by the day . My packet of sugar free Polo's have got shorter and the mint holes are bigger . Where will it all end ?

Aren't smoke alarms brill, ours decided to go off at 02:55 this morning By the time I'd got to it the thing had reset itself .As it's a sealed unit best get it down give it a clean and check replace date later today . As I'm up, having a nice cuppa waiting for the sunrise ,hope you all have a nice day

Our son rang home last night from a lorry park near Northampton .He decided to top his fuel tanks up and the cost was just short of £900 . That will last him around 1- 1/2 days tops and we wonder why prices keep going up .

A hoist cable snapped sending the cases into the water ,not nice for the owners of the cases . The main thing is no one was hurt . It reminds me of the week we got off Thomson Majesty and a life boat hoist cable also snapped sending five crew to their deaths and others injured . I hope people have got their cases back without too much water damage to the contents .

Google is ok up to a point and comes in handy . If you search for cruise ship information one of the top search returns will send you to this site anyway . Not all searches give you what you want as I did a Google search for a cigarette lighter. Ended up with 15,000 matches.

Spot on Kruzze , after 2019 and the people lost to the dreaded .. we took it for what it was a "Thank you" to the Queen . I'm just glad Diana kept well away from the band didn't trip over, as if she fell into them it could have caused a bit of a chain reaction
