Does any of the paperwork tell you the minimum time frame to book flights????

If it’s a princess transfer they wait until everyone has boarded coach, not transferred to individual flights. Not sure what time you dock in Brisbane but that would be cutting it very fine by the time you get through airport security etc. I would never go for flight earlier than 12 esp if using princess transfer (which we usually do)

Done, but I’m still a newbie 😁. The app lady confirmed our medallions were ordered in black so it’s ok in the “system”.

? I just open the app on my phone? I don’t log in every time? it’s just “there” lol. Princess did confirm there is currently a glitch when I phoned the help time for app help?

I’m waiting to find out what we can currently swap the mini bar alcohol drinks to?

PS There is currently a bit of an app glitch as it’s showing us a “new cruisers” instead of elite on 20th princess cruise. Princess working on it 😁

We are 10 days out according to the app and it now shows our boarding pass as blue lane because we need to pick up medallion at the check in. Don’t worry there are plenty of staff to help and endless staff on board just waiting to help. We were in Grand in Alaska last May and were very happy with the ship.

Have you got the medallion app on your phone? Our app now says for our cruise from Sydney on 18th March, that our boarding time is 12.30-3pm. I think they have changed from time slots we used to select. This time only appeared for us today. as soon as you get on board you can head for lunch, either Horizon court (buffet) or we like to head to one of the main dining rooms (they allocate one for lunch) as it’s much quieter than heading to buffet, and nice to sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch. enjoy your first cruise.

Checking the itinerary it looks like capetown to Southhampton. I will look into the journey Fremantle to capetown prior to that. Main preference was to visit family in Capetown and cruise home. Thanks for the info at least gives me itinerary to search our options 👍

Cu and just did it this February capetown yo Sydney but not next year (we’re going to SA at Christmas). We’re watching out very closely as changes to itineraries might happen because of Red Sea troubles I believe.

We were same last May after princess cruise. We stayed pan pacific prior to cruise and they stored our bags after cruise ($5 each two cases as we’d stayed there or $10 case if not stayed so we thought very reasonable). Because we’d stayed 5 days prior to cruise we had seen most of what we wanted. So didn’t want a tour. We walked round corner from hotel to station and bought two day transport tickets $8 odd AUD each (concession). This gave us access to all transport till 1am including the train out to airport. we took the ferry over to north Vancouver as we’d loved that with a lovely little market, yum foods and so nice to sit outside to eat. then we caught ferry back and took a bus to the movies as new release we’d wanted to see. Very nice cinemas and good price. After thus, we actually walked back to the port, went and picked up our cases around 4.30 and headed out to the airport. Very easy to do on the sky rail???( I forget its name) from the waterfront station. It’s half an hour to the airport. We had lounge access at the airport so we headed there after checking in our bags which we were able to do after 6pm and relaxed there. It all went very smoothly.

I even use the 80 hrs out to move from our chosen seat to row 4 right behind business on our domestic flights! I get it 9 times out of 10! I just want to be at the pointy end always 😁

Beat me to it! I have found the 80 hr window pretty accurate and use every flight we go on (I think I previously posted ages ago I was terrified of flying, which has now been conquered, so much I started counting flights when I married Frank 16 years ago this year. In first two years I counted 250 flights so stopped counting. I would be up to 500 at least now.)

We stayed five nights pre cruise at pan pacific at the port! Lovely hotel with great buffet breakfast! And we got a great special ! Perfect place to stop
