  1. Maybe it was more peculiar to where I lived in Manchester 😁
  2. Every corner pub in northern England seemed to be called the golden lion lol
  3. We stayed five days at Pam pacific on the port! Spectacular and we got a great special. Loved Vancouver
  4. We did 14 day return last May. Our first Alaska trip (from Australia). Layers! Was the advice from everyone and it was the best advice. Started the day off with tshirt under sweatshirt with rain jacket type on top, and just shed then as the day went on as necessary. Carried a very lightweight backpack that held any tops we took off. just wore regular runners/sneakers rather than buy waterproof ones. We only ever travel with one medium suitcase each and everything fitted fine.
  5. Its nice when people make the effort
  6. The grilled octopus tentacle totally ruined this delightful report 🤣🤣🤣 I have no idea what it tastes like, my stomach turns ate the thought of it! But love everything else 😁😁😁
  7. We definitely had padded seats. They were quite comfortable. And each cabin had a small wood heater which made it quite comfortable in may. Full snow made the journey spectacular!
  8. Yes definitely drivers licence /photo id is all we Aussies use in aus
  9. Great report. And those places on excursion will be well worth visiting even if it’s a road trip! I’ll save the details for sure!
  10. Sounds amazing! It is definitely on my next cruise list!!!!
  11. Wow. That’s awesome. Are you going to write a review. We’ve been wanting to do a Cunard too. Unfortunately circumstances didn’t permit us to be over in South Africa now to take the Cunard capetown to Sydney. that’s a good idea taking a shorter cruise and doing upgrade. I’ll certainly be watching to fit something in.
  12. HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY right back at you. Two imported Aussies here very happy and proud to call Australia home 🥰🥰🥰
  13. We were quite happy with it. I’d read questionable reviews too but it was fine. Yes it’s an older ship but we didn’t find any unpleasant smells ever, our balcony cabin was fine etc. we’re about to go on majestic in March Sydney to NZ. That will be the biggest ship we’ll have been on so far. Always we didn’t want to go larger than the grand class, but fare was too good to refuse for front facing balcony Lido deck! $400 each cheaper than inside going from our hometown Melbourne to Queensland. Cabin and balcony look amazing so really looking forward to it.
  14. We went May 6-20 2023 Vancouver return and loved every minute. Loved the itinerary, got two stops each port, so two chances excursions we really wanted. Four days glacier cruising. Weather perfect. On Grand Princess. plenty of snow too, so White Pass Rail excursion was amazing.
  15. I used to put my husbands meds in those over the counter weekly pill boxes but now we have them made up in pharmacy packs. Both means they’re not in the original packing. We’ve never had a problem. However we have our scripts with us online too (as is recommended to take with you when travelling) which would be verification if needed.
  16. Which airline are you flying in with? I know Qantas you are able to organise personal meet and greet etc so maybe your airline will offer?
  17. Me neither but if I really wanted one I could spend the $13
  18. Thats right. Us non drinkers would never buy a plus package. I wonder how many plus or premium take advantage of the free fitness classes 😁😁😁
