  1. We live in a lifestyle community NOT a retirement village ๐Ÿ˜ and we had a dawn service at 5.30am. This is our third year since itโ€™s been open. Very moving, with two vets laying wreaths and hoisting flag etc. then all had Brekky afterwards. We had the majority of homeowners there and it was very moving time.
  2. I have a couple of basic patent Diana Ferrari low heals, black and neutral that gives most my evening stuff, plus with black pants, and the neutral ones with black pants and neutral jacket make a whole different look.
  3. Franks only had one Christmas home in the 16 years weโ€™ve been married so we decided it was time again ๐Ÿฅฐ
  4. Itโ€™s our splurge when we go! We drop the hire car back at the airport on the way (stay couple weeks at Gordonโ€™s Bay first) and get a ride out to V & A, cos you donโ€™t need car there. Excursions and tours right from there. I found last years Christmas lunch menu (full buffet) so really looking fwd to that too.
  5. Weโ€™d love too but already booked Christmas and not feasible to go now as well! Itโ€™s only $1790 pp inside for the 19? Days! Cheaper than airfare!!!
  6. I saw there was a Syd Capetown leg. If youโ€™re at the actual waterfront, the V & A hotel right on front is where we are spending Christmas week! Our fav spot
  7. The last pic you posted from Cunard was absolutely stunning ๐Ÿฅฐ
  8. Iโ€™d be very happy to have that problem ๐Ÿ˜ no more cruises this year as we have Christmas in South Africa (capetown) to plan for.
  9. And Iโ€™m guessing youโ€™re getting very excited for your round the world on 30th ๐Ÿฅฐ have an awesome time
  10. The joys of cruising from Sydney as your home port๐Ÿ˜ we might take more if we were cruising out of Melbourne ๐Ÿ˜
  11. We actually do have one of those fold up totes always packed and Frank has a fold up back pack that come in very useful on trips too
  12. Weโ€™ve only ever taken one med size suitcase no matter how long we have gone for to anywhere inc May in Alaska or 4 weeks in South Africa ๐Ÿ˜
  13. We went last May and booked through cruise line and chose the Allen Family cruise mainly cos they said cash back if no sighting, and theyโ€™d not given refund in 15 years. wasnโ€™t disappointed, saw plenty of whales, not any doing massive breaches but enough to be very satisfied. Plus they took us to the seals with hundreds of them on the rocks, jumping in and out of the water. highly recommend as it was a beautiful trip out.
  14. Walking distance from the port is the waterfront station skyrail going direct to airport. It only cost us $8 odd each with concession card but I think only $12 reg. However the taxis have exact fare worked on zones. It only cost us $38 for taxi to the pan pacific set price. We had long flight from Australia and just wanted to get to hotel. so if there are a few of you (5 cases?) the taxi might work cheaper
  15. Pam pacific hotel at the port as you disembark will store your bags for $10 a case
  16. Last may we stayed 5 days at Pan Pacific (at the port) prior to our cruise. We walked along to Stanley Park, then took the horse drawn carriage around the park which I highly recommend. Great commentary by a young girl steering??? The carriage. Novel way to see far more than we could have and good photo stops.Far to big to walk around if you have limited time. we also loved taking the ferry over to north Vancouver and great little permanent market there right as you dock, delicious foodie stuff and nice variety. Lots of outdoor seating to watch the water activity etc.
  17. Happy Easter and happy 50th anniversary ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ
  18. Happy Easter to you too. Just boarded our Melbourne flight after disembarking Majestic Princess this morning. Perfect birthday cruise for Frank ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅฐ
