  1. They aren’t cardboard; they are a hard plastic; nearly indestructible. Yes, you still get them with the DX package (as well as C&A vouchers)
  2. Listed as corporate taxes. Income taxes had a separate line item.
  3. Cruise lines NEVER begged to be included in COVID bailout funding The low amount of taxes paid is a reciprocal agreement between the USA and MANY foreign entities. We don't tax some businesses operating here, and other countries do not tax American corporations operating there. Royal Caribbean paid about 3% of revenue to the federal government in the latest available filings. 55 of the Fortune 500 companies paid 0%.
  4. 9 Adults......... and yes! Now we we have Malibu rum pails in the swimming pool, the sandbox, the flower beds, the bathtub............
  5. Malibu rum makes a canned version of the drink you can purchase at the liquor stores. It’s a pretty good version, though not quite as creamy as the one you get on the ship. From our Wonder cruise in July; the grands came home with nearly 100 pails between them.
  6. Again; you don’t fathom the broader scope of the law. Cruise lines are such a small part of it. Any American making their living in an industry governed by these laws are extremely grateful for them.
  7. There is so much about this topic that you obviously do not have a grasp on. It is a very important law, that protect innumerable American interests, and the nuances are very far reaching.
  8. You will receive an email in the weeks leading up to embarkation with instructions and timing. Key check in is usually anytime after 10:30-11:00 time frame dependent on port.
  9. Hmmmm I have trouble with regular “I”; doubtful I should try to master AI!!
  10. No matter how many times you are shown otherwise; it’s impossible for you to concede that your “supposition” is incorrect. Adieu
  11. Granted, I have never claimed to be up to date on my tech; but I have never even heard of google “bard” thank you
  12. When we inquired in the pub, we were told by the bartender they get the tip as of the drink was full price.
  13. Could be looks similar to what we received on Wonder. The bartender in the pub confirmed they were tipped out on C&A drinks when we inquired about the language on the receipt
  14. google images shows more than a couple Diamond drink receipts that clearly state an 18% gratuity has been included. What benefit is there to me to be deceitful about such a stupid little topic?
  15. Sorry but that’s incorrect. we received receipts for about 1/3 of our D+ drinks in July The receipt addressed the gratuity in print at the bottom.
  16. Typo printed on the Diamond voucher RECEIPT is what I meant
  17. No, the post I am thinking about was definitely about Crown And Anchor voucher drinks. I made a point to look in July when I was on WOTS , did not receive a receipt very often, but when I did, it definitely had a note printed at the bottom about gratuity being handled.
  18. Take a look next time; recently someone posted a picture of their receipt on board.
  19. It is printed in pretty plain language at the bottom of your $0 diamond voucher that gratuity on this drink has been covered by the voucher.
  20. 18% is already added to the drink, no one is being stiffed
  21. Agreed I guess the point I’m trying to make is to all those that feel this is a made up money grab. The fee is indeed “lawful”. As with many thing “Royal C/S” based, it certainly could be handled better.
  22. Understood and agree however, line 9 in the conditions of carriage states passenger agrees to pay all fines levied against the cruise line from governmental agencies for non completion of voyage. Granted, Royal is delinquent in delivering a “receipt” but the charge is valid.
  23. It is in your Cruz contract. If you leave the ship early, the cruise line is assessed a fine and the fine just passed on to the passenger
  24. "big time" is relative. I received an updated invoice from my TA for a March Odyssey sailing that stops at PDCC, the new tax amounted to less than $30 total for the two of us.
