  1. Another option; the one I use, is a passport card that expires on a different cycle than my passport book. It’s nice to have while the book is out for renewal.
  2. Unnecessary work; the OP is perfectly fine with their current passport.
  3. Never said they can not accept them; I am saying their position and salary precludes them from being included in the discussion; as it pertains to luggage handling at the cruise terminal-unless highly personalized duties are performed. Moving my bag from the sidewalk to a luggage cart is the minimum expected of them, and doesn’t get a tip.
  4. For the purposes of this discussion, the distinction is moot. Union labor is not a tipped position
  5. For $30 online you can get a slipcover for your bag made with a giant headshot. I’ve not done it, but my SIL has. Pretty funny, and no way anytime would mistake his bag!
  6. This must be one of the most ridiculous statements o have seen on here in quite some time (and that is really saying something) BTW the tipping “policy” at Port Canaveral is “no tipping requires” it is posted on GIANT signs all over the place.
  7. Delivering bags to your car is certainly a tip worthy action; even for me
  8. Umm according to every economist in the capitalist world. Maybe they do things differently in Canada
  9. LOTS of people pay their gratuities at the time of booking; I agree, that makes no sense
  10. Minimum wage was NEVER intended to be a living wage. Minimum wage is designed for part time student workers to make some pocket money. If one is working for minimum wage and trying to care for a family or live indeoendently, then one needs to get their crap together and do better.
  11. I agree with you, there aren’t any making that low of a salary
  12. You obviously have no concept of labor unions and collective bargaining
  13. No, any pre-bookings require payment in full at time of purchase. When you get onboard, you can go to any specialty restaurant and ask that your reservation be refunded and rebooked with your OBC; however you may pay more onboard.
  14. Travel agent OBC is not available for use until on board the ship
  15. Probably about right, point being, my fees have already paid for the porter’s services.
  16. It’s easy to imagine that there were no porters. Your port fees would go down; that is how these guys get paid.
