I have book 9216 on Prima then ran across a "cabins to avoid" and 9216 was one of them. Looking for real opinions, not sure if I need to find another cabin. TIA

What does "open bar" mean on NCL? I see they offer drink upgrades for a substantial amount, is "open Bar" like the basic drink packages on RCCL & Celebrity?

Question- We usually find a relatively quiet bar to hang out and read during the day, is there such a bar on Prima?

Your knee replacement, how long did it take to fully recover?

With a pacemaker you should NOT go through any of the magnetic scanners. When you get to the security screening, tell the TSA person who is assisting people with putting their items in bins, that you have a pacemaker and they will point out the AIT scanner that you can go through. After going through they may still want to pat down, but it's no big deal. If you are in another country and get to security, even if they don't speak English, they will know what you mean if you pat on the left side of your chest and say pacemaker. You have the right to ask for a pat down in any place that does not have the AIT scanners. Your device maker should have sent you an ID card to be used in places like airports, have it handy and show it to security. If your device maker failed to give you a card, call them. Yes your knee can go through, but not your upper body. I have had a heart device since 2003, an ICD, and currently I have my third ICD (2003, 2009, 2018). We have traveled all over the world the last 20 years and I have never had a problem with security not understanding. When you go on a ship they only have the magnetic security, just tell them you have a heart device and need a pat down. Don't let anyone make you feel embarrassed about a pat down, and don't let anyone convince you that it's okay to go through the magnetic machine or wave a magnetic wand over the upper part of your body. Magnetic wands should be kept 18 inches away from your device. Even at a hotel we stayed in when Istanbul, they had the same magnetic hoops that airports have. They gave me no problem about not going through. If female the pat down will be female, if male it will be a male. Edit to add, sorry I did not see the part about you having already been through airports.

I have a list from 15 years ago which I update if I happen to think of something, but that hasn't happened for several years. If you are leaving the US, make sure to take any medications that you could possibly need, both OTC and prescriptions.

Strange, I have never been on a RC cruise that required reservations for shows, you just show up. FCFS

Only three, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard, with a little over 300 nights. We came to cruising late. 🙂

Typically the sea water is around 80F in those areas.

We bring any OTC meds that we routinely use, and all prescription meds we take. Better to take it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

Mediterranean and Baltic cruises are great at showing you a taste of the areas you port in, so take time to really look at itineraries, and compare. Cruising is not the best way to see Europe, but it can be the best way to find the parts of Europe that you really want to see.

We are doing B2B New England/Canada, total 22 nights on RCCL Jewel if the Seas.

Wow, this describes the food my very recent 24 nights on Celebrity Summit, really surprised to see it here. QM2 Kings Court has been very good in my experience, hopefully this is a 1-off. Looking forward to my QM2 bookings in 2024.

We are not minimalist packers, but we don't have to pay for checked bags when we fly, so it's really not an issue. Half of our baggage space is medical equipment, so not an option to not take it.

There are the Fall colors cruises that go up the US East coast and Canada. We are boarding RCCL Jewel of the Seas on September 28. We have also been up the coast to Canada, Greenland and Iceland.
