  1. Yes at Barista’s. Just tell them if you want regular coffee, cappuccino etc “to go”. I think they also had take away coffee and tea in The Terrace. Barista’s has very good coffee. Enjoy your trip!
  2. Sthrngary you had asked if I found out about friends stopping in Turkey on their cruise. They did and it was my friends favorite stop. Maybe because she bought 2 leather jackets and she and her boyfriend both bought rugs for their homes. Saw the one jacket already and it was the softest leather I’ve ever seen. Keep enjoying your cruise!
  3. Sthrngary I will certainly let you know what our friends experience in Turkey.
  4. We have friends who should be sailing from Rome today or tomorrow on Oceania with the last two stops in Turkey. I was wondering to myself whether that schedule might change. We will see.
  5. We were on the Riviera in June. Had a Penthouse Suite which we loved! The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great! We loved going to the Thassotherapy Pool and making kir royals in the afternoon to enjoy on our balcony. Toscana was my favorite specialty restaurant where I really enjoyed a pasta and lobster dish. I think my husband was blown away with the king prime rib in Polo. Although it was a nice rare serving, I found it a bit bland when I tasted it. To each his own. We enjoyed the Main Dining Room as well as the Terrace Cafe where I enjoyed way too much cheese and breads! They also served delicious mussels one night as well as baby lamb chops and lobster tails nightly ( suggest getting 3 of each as they are small!) Once I figured out how to open the Specialty and Main Dining* Room salt shakers, I was happy. I did think extra salt was needed quite a few times but again that’s me. We often ordered several appetizers which is always fun. We would check the menus on the tv each day to decide between the main dining room and the Terrace. You will always find something that appeals to you and if something is a disappointment you can always order something else which we never had to do. We booked another cruise while onboard so I guess that tells you something! Have a wonderful time and wear your snugger outfits the first few days as you will gain a few pounds! Have a wonderful time!
  6. Loved this drink also! Ordered it in GDR our first night and loved it! But be careful where you order it. When we ate at Toscana our friend ordered it and it tasted nothing like mine. I think the waiter made it himself as he asked what was in it. Next cruise I want to try an Espresso Martini. We had one in Winchester, England and it was wonderful!
  7. I’m confused now! Has anyone stayed in Penthouse 7133 that can tell me if the Penthouse is the normal size? Sorry if I seem daft!
  8. Wow! It’s listed as a Penthouse 2. Thanks!
  9. Has anyone stayed in this suite? It supposedly has a deeper balcony. Does this cause the room to be smaller for any reason? Any negatives you can think of? Thank you!
  10. The more ports the better, thank you for this information! How lucky you are to go to the Amalfi Coast each year!
  11. Thank you cruisemom42! it’ll be great to see the views from the ship and Ravello!
  12. Thank you so much Mauibabes! As a matter of fact there is a tour to Ravello which looks good! Sounds like you have fabulous memories. I’m sure we will too!
  13. Cruising next year on Riviera. Stopping at Almalfi/Positano before heading to Rome. If anyone has sailed this direction before, can you tell me if you get a nice view of the Almalfi from the ship when it’s anchored? Also has anyone done the 21/2 hr boat ride and visit to St. Andrew? I know there are 60 steps to Cathedral but how is the going from where the boat docks up to the cathedral - very steep? Thank you!
  14. Thank you both. I feel it would be too much to stress about also.
  15. Just returned from Riviera cruise and even though original itinerary stated we would disembark at 8:00, people were actually able to leave about 7:00 a.m. We have booked another Oceania cruise in the future that states the same disembarking at 8:00. We’d like to get a 9:20 flight using a quick pass through security at the Barcelona airport. I read it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get to the airport from cruise port and about 15 minutes from security to the gates. Has anyone ever disembarked in Barcelona very early and made an early flight. We would also purchase air tickets that allow us to rebook if we have to. Thank you.
  16. Yes I saw that part. Just wanted to know is the”Cash” could be in Euro and/or pound Sterling. Thanks all for your reply’s!
  17. I’ve read passengers can receive up to $300 or $500 advance against credit card. Has anyone used this option to receive Euro or Pound Sterling? Thank you!
