  1. Here is the description of club balcony and regular balcony cabins. The club balcony is what was used to be called mini suites. https://www.ncl.com/why-cruise-norwegian/cruise-accommodations/minisuites-and-balconies
  2. I don't recall any restaurant that specifically covers all your requirements, but here are some that are close. Maybe some other resorts that have a day pass might cover all your requirements The Flying Fishbone has seating on the beach, but doesn't rent the lounge chairs, tables, umbrellas etc.. Really good food, nice ambiance. https://www.flyingfishbone.com/ Azzurro Ristorante is overlooking the beach and attached to the Playa Linda Resort, but again, the pool, lounge chairs etc are for guests Bugaloe is a fun, good vibe restaurant/bar on a pier that overlooks the water and is located between the RIU and the Hilton (again doesn't provide lounge chairs, etc) https://bugaloe.com/
  3. I was on an NCL cruise last year during Halloween. There were a handful of kids who dressed up and I think the stores and other places on the ship gave out candy to the kids so they could trick or treat. Some adults dressed up too, although not a huge amount of people. I noticed them dressing up in the evening, going to dinner dressed up etc..
  4. I was on the Epic in April and it was 8 days and the Posh Pass was $219 for the week. Many people, including myself had been quoted $79 on the phone.
  5. That’s nice you can book ahead and they gave you a correct price. When I called, the person I talked to didn’t know anything about it, so had to put me on hold and then gave me a price that was a lot less. Others at guest services had been quoted a price on the phone that was significantly less too. Yes it has its own bar.
  6. Another view of a different side of the Posh deck. This was before the crew put up umbrellas for those who wanted them. There is also a higher level of chairs and tables too. Up those steps you see.
  7. I think it was totally worth it. I used it in April and looking down below at the crowded pool deck, I enjoyed the posh deck. The process of getting a pass as a non Haven passenger is stressful. Only 10-20 are sold. You have to board as soon as possible and go straight to guest services to purchase one. Here is a photo. They have umbrellas, but weren’t put up yet in this photo.
  8. The bridge is not off limits anymore, at least on the ship I was on. I was on the Epic in April and my paid behind the scenes tour included the bridge.
  9. It also means you can leave earliest and when you want. Normally if you have left your luggage out the night before, you also pick a color coded luggage tag. That will tell you the timeframe when you depart the ship. If you take off your own luggage you can leave with one of the first groups. I've been on ships where there are no lines, and we get off quickly and other times where the line snakes down the deck, down the stairs, around the outside deck, etc..Both were with bringing our own luggage.
  10. Sorry, but how can it be true, if I've been able to do it. Your statement can either be true or false, it can't be anything else. I was able to do this for a cruise in April and an upcoming one in Nov. If you were able to make a reservation at Moderno twice then your statement that you aren't able to make a reservation online at a restaurant more than once isn't true.
  11. #2 isn't true. I have booked the same specialty restaurant more than once ahead of time online for the same sailing. Two different days but the same restaurant.
  12. I took that exact same cruise in Sept 2022 and I don't remember any wait, lines or anything regarding customs. I just remember waiting to be cleared to get off the ship and the lines weren't that bad. We were both US citizens.
  13. Don't worry about staying in Baltimore, it's totally fine. Like any big city (including DC) there are good areas and bad areas. Just be careful and aware of your surroundings like in any place. The inner harbor of Baltimore is fine. The cruise port is so close, no need to stay an hour away. You can see the cruise ships from I-95 as you are driving through Baltimore. The Amtrak station in Baltimore isn't that far away from the Inner Harbor (you'll need to take a taxi, uber, lyft, etc) and then you can take a train to Union Station. This hop on/hop off bus actually has a stop at Union Station, so it would be easy to get around. https://www.trolleytours.com/washington-dc/map
  14. There is also an Amtrak station in Baltimore. Maryland Transit (MARC) train also goes into Union Station in DC. DC has alot of various bus tours, including hop on/hop off. If you want a White House tour, you need to request one from your Member of Congress, the earlier the better. All the Smithsonian museums and monuments, including the National zoo are free too.
  15. Are you talking about Apr 2023? I was on the sailing on the Epic that left San Juan and arrived in NYC, If it's that sailing, it wasn't just crew only, but a normal sailing with passengers.
  16. Also be aware they might close stops without any notice. If you are at a stop, and the bus doesn't come in a normal amount of time, call the office and keep calling. I was at a stop last year, and after calling a 3rd time about the status of the bus, I was told the stop I was at, was temporarily closed. This was after calling twice and being told to wait, sometimes buses come after 20-30 minutes. I had to walk to the closest one, but the operator couldn't tell me exactly how to get there. I had to figure it out on my own.
  17. According to cruisemapper it's docked on the Island of Kauai. Here is the original schedule. Departure / Arrival Port of Call 05 Aug 19:00 Honolulu 06 Aug 08:00 - 07 Aug 18:00 Kahului 08 Aug 08:00 - 18:00 Hilo 09 Aug 07:00 - 17:30 Kailua-Kona 10 Aug 08:00 - 11 Aug 17:30 Nawiliwili 12 Aug 07:00 Honolulu
  18. Has anyone taken either of these NCL excursions in Cozumel? I'm trying to see why there is such a huge price difference. I'm going there on the Prima in April 2024. -Exclusive Cozumel Beach Day Resort -6 Hours (after $50 discount it's $119) -Passion Island Beach Day - 5 hours (after $50 discount it's $29). I am leaning to privately booking Nachi Cocom, but wanted to check the cruise ship excursions too. I'm just looking for a nice quiet beach day which is safe and include food. I'm also solo. Thanks in advance.
  19. Vibe passes were available for online purchasing on a cruise for the Prima in Apr 2024.
  20. I took a paid Behind the Scenes tour in April (April 2023) on the Epic. It included the engine control room and the bridge. They are included after 9/11. We weren't allowed to take any photos while we were on the bridge.
  21. You should be able to book it at the excursion desk onboard. I would suggest going there as soon as you board.
  22. I was on the Epic in April and it was 8 days and the Posh Pass was $219 for the week. Many people, including myself had been quoted $79 on the phone. I think I was the first one in line at guest services to request one, since I wasn't in the Haven. You couldn't book it ahead of time, as some Vibe beach club passes on other ships. I think it was totally worth it. We had 2 sea days, and used it most of the whole day on those sea days. Even when we were in port, I used it after we got back. Looking down on the lower deck at the pool where it was packed/crowded. I thought it was worth it, but then I was solo on that cruise. It was quiet and not very crowded. They only give out 10-20 passes to non Haven members, so you have to arrive early and go straight to guest services. There were umbrellas, padded seating, two level deck (the higher deck, there was smoking allowed and no umbrellas). There was also a bar. It never got so crowded, that I couldn't find a seat. To access it'll go on your cruise card and you use that to access it via the elevator or the door from inside near the stairwell. I used the glass elevators from the pool deck to go up two decks..
  23. Your phone should be in airplane mode and use the wifi while on the ship. Check with Verizon but they have a plan where you pay $10 a day for international use, if you use the phone and on land, and take it out of airplane mode. You have to do an extra step before going to set that up. That way if there is an emergency you have that option.
  24. Wow, I can't believe NCL changed your cabin without your permission, when you picked a specific cabin and paid for that choice. I would be annoyed and upset too. Did you request an upgrade or something similar?
  25. Are you worried there will be more kids on cruises during that week?
