  1. You can do Iskitlal ,Taksim Square and the Galata district .at night on your own .
  2. I second that recommendation. Way better in the evening than in daytime.
  3. Hamilton Bermuda, St. George's Bermuda, St. Petersburg, Istanbul, Venice, Copenhagen. Aruba. I put them in somewhat order but they were all good, Royal Naval Dockyard Bermuda. Notice I list Bermuda 3 times seperatly because all 3 are different. The Dockyard is my least favorite of the three but still good. We did something special in the evening at all of them.
  4. I have been to all those countries except Trinidad and was always safe. Cruise passengers stay away from the unsafe areas. Number 1 Haiti the stop is at a private island Labadee. Very safe. Number 3 Cuba ruins their whole list. Not dangerous. A very safe destination for tourists. For political reasons the US government does not want us to go there and see it. All your list proves is that you don't research the destinations, believe click bait and that you probably should not get off the ship any port.
  5. Well you go on and on and on and I don't see any indication you are trying to undersand other poster's opinions.
  6. Don't get larger luggage. Pack less.
  7. They think you are just trying to stir the pot. Reading many of your posts on different topics I can see how they might come to that conclusion…
  8. I don't see Celebrity providing us with any data. Those are busness secrets. There may be information though available in investor reports you could read those. I don't think they are trying to turn Celebrity into Royal Caribbean. It always has been with a different theme. Short cruises on any cruise line have always drawn a different demographic than longer cruises. A more party atmosphere. I won't do them. The shortest I dis was five days. Five days not enough unless it is back to back with a longer cruise. I could see a 3 or 4 day if it were back to back. But I would expect a more party type atmosphere and more children on any cruise line. So why would they do short cruise? Many new cruisers are not sure if they will like a cruise or if they will get seasick. They could be a good introduction to Celebrity.
  9. They can do two 7 day cruise in 14 days and 7 days is easier to sell.
  10. I am a beach person so I always go. I book a cheaper one without the lunch. That has been booking the excursion with stingrays. You don’t have to do the stingrays can just go get a lounger. I did stingrays one time as it was fun but you don’t have to. The lunch is not very good. You can buy snacks and beverage ala carte. The ferry ride is somewhat long and boring. You can go back early as there are regular ferries that only go back to Paradise Island and not all the cruise port. We have walked around Atlantis and checked out shops there. If you are not a beach person I don’t see much reason to go to Blue Lagoon. You can watch the dolphins I guess.
  11. The revenue is captive which is a big plus but they certainly are paying fees to the Bahamas.
  12. Your general plan for Day 1 looks good to me. After Tobacco Bay you might want to visit Fort St. Catherine. You could have lunch at Wahoos or you could take a bus or taxi to the Swizzle Inn. Blue Hole is near the Swizzle Inn. Crystal Caves could be an other option. Your general plan for day 2 also looks good. If you have your own gear you can do Church Bay. The surf could be too rough at Church Bay. I ran into that issue the first time I went there and could not snorkel but I was able to snorkel the second time. Whatever order you like. Both Church Bay and Horseshoe Bay are on the South Shore Road. It is not walkable between. You can take the #7 bus between. If you do Horseshoe first take the $7 minibus shuttle. You could also start at Warwick Long Bay and walk to Horseshoe along the beach trail and beach. The minibus shuutle will drop you off at Warwick after doing a drop off at Horseshoe if you ask the driver for $9. At Jobsons cove which is the first cove to the west of Warwick there are usually large parrot fish. Then continue along the trails and beach to Horseshoe. You can take a $7 minibus back to the Dockyard or a #7 bus to Church Bay. If you decide to do Church Bay first then take the #7 to Church Bay then the #7 to Horseshoe or Warwick. If you do Church Bay you will have to deal with buses. I have run into full buses sometimes. Often I was able to get on and stand. I do whatever to avoid buses but sometimes have to. Whether they are full is matter of timing. If you take buses pink poles at the bus stop indicate the buses are going toward Hamilton. Blue poles toward the Dockyard. I hope I didn't confuse you. Feel free to ask for clarification. I often wing it and skip or add on a whim.
  13. The only way I can do it is with the Shortcuts App like you did. I could not get another way to work. The only problem is that some users might have difficulty creating a shortcut. I have created shortcuts before and they are a powerful iOS tool but it is not as easy as the way we used to be able to do add cruise critic links. Possibly Invision made a change to their software. I think websites probably prefer the way it has been changed to since it makes websites like apps.
  14. The normal stops have the same safety as before. I have never experienced any crime in the Caribbean and Mexico. Private Islands are all about captive revenue for the cruise lines.
  15. That’s kind of an apples to oranges compare. Summit is an older ship and Viva will be the hot new NCL ship. If I were choosing it would be Summit. I have been on Summit a bunch of times including after it was revolutionized. I have not seen the itineraries but Southern Caribbean itineraries tend be port intensive. I think saving a couple thousand dollars is a no brainer. Plus my cruises on NCL have been meh.
  16. There is an advisory this morning. Of course the situation a a month out can not be predicted. My suggestion is to go to Horseshoe if there are concerns because they have lifeguards there who watch for them and pick them up off the beach. https://bernews.com/2023/06/govt-issue-advisory-on-portuguese-man-of-war/ https://www.royalgazette.com/general/news/article/20230627/bathers-beware-jellyfish-are-back-in-bermuda/
  17. Yes, sorry I am mixing up threads on Perfect Day from the other board. But Celebrity is owned by the Royal Caribbean Group and apparently they desire to optimize their investment in the two private islands they own.
  18. I wish. Maybe they will call it the Perfect tier? I don’t think so. They are going to announce Perfect Day at Coco Cay on Celebrity itineraries.
  19. Take a look at the screenshot in post #47.
  20. Seriously? There is a reason the cruise line is called Royal Caribbean. The ships are optimized for Caribbean cruises and they have two private islands. Royal Caribbean is the wrong cruise line for you.
  21. The weather in the Caribbean does not daunt me but my theory is that when the temps at home are cold winter temps that is the time to go to the Caribbean or Mexico not when the temperatures are similar. I don’t really like to cruise the Caribbean in August because of all the children on board. I prefer mid December for Caribbean cruises. A respite from winter and a tolerable amount of children. The best prices too.
  22. Alaska is not super cold during the cruise ship season there.
