They do. The lifeguards pick them up with gloves and a net.
  2. Your travel agent is wrong about the requirement coming out of the blue. It has been in effect for months. All cruise passengers have had to fill out the Travel Authorization since cruises restarted in 2021. She should have known about it and certainly not mentioned it in passing. When she says not to complete it now, you could not complete is now. Sailings are not added until 30 days before embarkation. So that would be in about ten days for you.
  3. I don’t think Carnival has it exactly right. The Bahamas does not require testing for vaccinated visitors. It does require testing for unvaccinated visitors. That may be causing confusion.
  4. Here is some trivia. Picked Onion, Frog and Onion, Hog Penny, and a couple of other restaurants are owned by the same company.
  5. The satellite radios antenna is designed to be mounted outside on a roof. Then it would have to be connected by a cable to the receiver. The receiver would have to be connected to a speaker. Seems there would be a few problems setting up on a ship. You can't put the antenna on a roof. Some mention has been made of the balcony but if the antenna is on the balcony the reciever would have to be in the room plugged into the mains right? Is there some way to connect the reciever to the antenna other than by a cable? I don't think so. Seems like the best solution for listening to satellite radio on a ship would be over WiFi.
  6. A lot of people have applied late and they all got approved. Some did call when they had not gotten approval close to the sailing and then got an email right away but I don't know if that call actually was needed. The sailings out of the New York area Bermuda had people at the ports so they facilitated passengers who had not done the TA. Some arrived not knowing about it. Cruise lines have varied in sending out info. I don't know if they were or are doing that out of Fort Lauderdale. I think if you don't recieve it by Friday and call from Fort Lauderdale seems like you would be okay.
  7. It is still a delay. They do ask that the application be filed out right away when it becomes available at 30 days. I do think you will get the approval shortly but if you do not want wait you will have to call. There are ways to make inexpensive international calls. I have used Skype to call Bermuda local numbers.
  8. You did delay putting in your application so they might say it is your fault but no one has reported being denied. Some did have to make the dreaded phone call. I think though you will get your approval shortly. The four day holiday may have slowed the approval process.
  9. I think we were on the same sailing! And in the buffet small kids having tantrums. It is typical of those Bermuda sailings in August that they have a lot of kids and I can't imagine Celebrity going adults only would go over well with their loyal northeast US customers who drive to Bayonne. In contrast in 2019 cruised to Bermuda on Oceania and there were 5 kids onboard. So we have choices if we want to avoid kids even in the summer. I probably won't go back to cruising Celebrity to Bermuda and will cruise on Oceania or the like but not because of the kids.
  10. I am sure it isn't. There was a similar thread on the Carnival forum where someone claimed Carnival was considering it because someone had asked John Heald about turning the transferred Costa ships into adult only and he didn't say they would not consider it. In other words like a lot of cruise personel you ask onboard about changes you would like he played along. They like to please everyone so they don't want to tell passengers no that won't happen. I am skeptical as to why OP starts a thread and presents Celebrity going adults only as something that someone else thought up and is calling for not themselves. What is the point of that? I can imagine someone asking the Captain at a cruise Q and A onboard about adults only and the Captain played nice. I have heard the crew handle a lot of left field questions onboard and they often say something that sounds like what they think the person who asked the question wants to hear.
  11. No, when I call my TA I don’t say book Celebrity. We have a discussion about when and possible itineraries. I say don’t bother checking Carnival or NCL. She may come back with options on multiple cruise lines. I mention to check Oceania and any other small ship lines. I ask if she has any good deals on any cruise line on any possible time or itinerary.
  12. If that is your Bermuda sailing you don't need another booster or any boosters for that matter.
  13. I think there is a lot of virtue signaling involved. I have relatives who get angry about even seeing people wearing masks. They definitely would walk out of the blood collection center. When I go somewhere that wants me to wear a mask I go with the flow and wear one. I don’t want to wear them but it’s no big deal.
  14. Check your spam or junk mail box. All my Blue Chip emails were going in there for months.
  15. I have found the kids on Royal not to be a problem. The many activities do engage them. The cruise line I have been on with the worst behavior was Carnival. There were groups of kids at the show without their parents heckling entertainers. I also saw more bad adult behavior. I didn’t book Carnival after my second try because of the adults and kids on that line. On Royal, never saw anything to that extent. If I had young kids I would take them on Royal or NCL.
  16. When there were 600 kids on a sailing it was not pleasant. The kids sort of formed gangs and were out of control. There were young kids having tantrums. After that I avoided summer Caribbean sailings on Celebrity. It was the wrong time anyway to cruise in the Caribbean. As for adults drinking their money’s worth never saw that on Celebrity. I don’t think that Celebrity’s customers are clamoring for adults only cruises. I don’t think Celebrity would gain any business. It does not make any sense for a generalist mass market cruise line.
  17. Celebrity will never be adults only, it is a mass market cruise line but hey there are some folks on the Carnival board who want some adults only ships. LOL. I have been on Celebrity summer sailings where there were 600 kids so they do have kids activities. Adults only is a niche and Virgin Cruises is trying to fill it. Anyone looking for adults only should be looking at Virgin not dreaming an impossible dream about Celebrity.
  18. The bus takes about 25 minutes. It runs once an hour. The fastest way would be a taxi as a taxi makes no stops and you won't have to wait for a bus. The taxi cost would be $20 unless you go on a Sunday..There would be a 25% surcharge on a Sunday. if you are four there would be no point in taking a bus unless you love buses.
  19. They are designed to last a year before dying so certainly the supplied batteries are not going to corrode for a long time.
  20. Don't buy a cheap battery. I have used the type used in Airtags for other devices and Energizers for example are supposed to be able to be stored for 8 years.
  21. It is 18 miles and not continuous so I have only been on small sections. The parts I have seen I don't think you could use a power wheelchair but all the sections are different. if you manage to find an accessable taxi the driver would probably know. When we had a group member who used a power wheelchair we had difficulty finding an accessable taxi but that was 10 years ago and we did end up finding one. She needed one with a lift as she could not get out of the chair. There may be more now.
  22. They have a concierge. The concierge suggested the CVS. That was a few years ago so perhaps the concierge has other suggestions now. The CVS is a large one.
