  1. You missed this on the website........ Cruise voyages that take more than 4 days to get to Bermuda from the embarkation port: All passengers regardless of vaccination status must undergo a further supervised antigen or COVID-19 NAAT on-board, by the ships medical team, no more than 2 days before passengers are to come ashore in Bermuda.
  2. Agree OP needs to post on his roll call. Golfers often bring their own clubs to Bermuda if they drive to the port. My buddy carried his own clubs on several times to golf in Bermuda. He also has rented clubs instead of bringing his own. The closest golf course to The Royal Navel Dockyard, Port Royal, has a discount for cruise passengers and has rental clubs. OP may also want share a taxi so they would want to post to the roll call..
  3. Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory. Many visitors are from the UK. No reason to be concerned. They will be familiar with UK vaccination cards.
  4. Bermuda has visitors from all over the world. Many are from the UK. Bermuda is a British Overseas territory. No doubt they are familiar with UK vaccination cards.
  5. The concession at Clearwater found the gypsy driver for us when we asked if they would call a taxi. He must have been hanging out there waiting for the opportunity. There was a couple that had prearranged for a taxi back but they thought he had stood them up so we all shared the gypsy taxi who charged the same amount as the legal taxi we had taken to Clearwater. So $20 divided by 4 we did not mind. I don't know how to find one to take you there from St. George. The passenger on Insignia now lucked out. We took a taxi to Clearwater from St. George. We had no problem finding one to take us there from the town square. I was on Insignia and not overly worried about getting back as we didn't have to catch a ferry back to the Dockyard. I don't mind some adventure when there is no pressure. Also it is in the interest of the concession there for people to come and go so I believe they will help tourists find a taxi or other ride back to St. George otherwise tourists won't go there. I have also found Bermudians to be very helpful to visitors. There is a taxi app called Hitch that I hve on my phone that I have never had to use but you might want to download it.
  6. The Riverside has free internet in the rooms. The last seven or eight years I have always stayed pre cruise in a Tower Room at the Riverside because of the great location.
  7. It’s not well known that it has closed and many travel sites still list it. I read the local Royal Gazette so that is how I know it closed about a year and a half ago. In another article in that paper a few months ago I read there are plans to turn the building into a brewery.
  8. I agree with your advice that they should cancel their Royal Caribbean mini bus tour. If Heidi is not available the first day there are plenty of other things they could do the first day. A beach or go over to St.George and or Hamilton and walk around. There will be a lot of duplication and you can't really customize an Royal mini bus tour. Heidi's tour will be a lot better and two tours will be tedious. I can't think of a good reason OP would be planning the two tours unless Heidi is not available the first day. Doing her tour the second day will be fine if she is not available the first day.
  9. I always end up walking to that CVS when I stay at the Riverside as it is the closest general type store. Snacks, beverages, sundries, etc. Those highways have traffic lights. Not difficult to cross.
  10. The CVS near me also does testing inside.
  11. The CVS is within walking distance but I don't know if that one does tests..
  12. It is near the Crystal Caves and the Swizzle Inn. There are no facilities.
  13. The World Heritage Center has closed permanently.
  14. If you have a card that does not charge a foreign transaction fee you should use it. If you don't you will be charged a foreign transaction fee. Your cards that have an annual fee are most likely not to charge the fee. Capital One cards don't charge the fee.
  15. Smokers used to say smoking was harmless. Then that second hand smoke was harmless. Now vapers are following the same script.
  16. FYI here is an article from the Royal Gazette on the changes. https://www.royalgazette.com/politics/news/article/20220715/minister-outlines-refinements-to-ta-form-to-create-stress-free-experience-for-the-traveller/
  17. To use onboard credit. To save on taxes. Really though at this time of year there are lot of discounts at Amazon, Costco and Best Buy. New versions will be coming in September. I would not purchase onboard.
  18. Cafe Promenade when the machine was broken. Problem was that while the coffee made by a baresta tasted better it usually took 20 minutes. Always understaffed. The machine was much faster.
  19. In the past when the machine was broken they let us get complimentary specialty coffee at the Cafe Promenade. Don’t know if they still do that.
  20. I don’t think there are but for cruise passengers it says: Cruise passengers with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Lines – who are the majority of our cruise visitors –get an approved TA based on their vaccination certificates. Their negative test result is checked at the pier when they board the ship, and they do not need to upload it. Some people seem to have had a hard time understanding the above.

  22. There are not that many port destination options out of northeast ports. Two of the 3 cruise ports are only semi active as they can only take small ships. The bulk of ships call at the Royal Navel Dockyard which has two berths. Bermuda needs tourism but they can still set the rules. If RC or NCL gave up their contracts and spots Carnival and MSC would be lining up to get their spots.
  23. Crystal of Bronco Stables was doing them from the Town Square but I have not seen any recent sightings. Also no reviews on TripAdvisor since 2019. Not a good sign. You could contactBronco Stables and inquire.
