It really depends.  We did a back to back (Collector's Cruise) a few years ago. One week skewed heavily toward a European clientele and was very dressy. The other week had a different crowd and was less so. As long as you can muster up business casual or better, you should be fine.

It is much more casual now than a few years ago

  2. While gambling in the casino , if you access money from your onboard account, there is no fee if you are on slots.  If you are on a table game , there is a fee unless you are comped or have a blue chip status high enough to exempt you from the fee.   And for the poster who said they are not a member of the Blue Chip Club,-  if you tapped or inserted your seapass card into the slot machine( which you would have to get cash from your account) then you are automatically enrolled in the Blue Chip Club.

In Cartegena, Columbia just this past March 2023, we were docked next to the Edge.  We were on the Constellation.

The IV's looked like a prison to us.

I take it you have never been in prison. 😊

That depends on your casino status and cabin type. Generally, no, you will pay a fee. But if you have casino status or stay in a suite this will be waived.

You can transfer money from your onboard account to a slot machine with no fee regardless of your casino status.  You can also transfer money from your onboard account to a table game, but you will be charged a percentage fee, unless your status provides for waiving the fee.  Almost all the slot machines onboard have the ability for you to do this transfer right at the machine by tapping your seapass card and accessing your onboard account with a password.

  5. Just finished sailing on equinox then silhouette and then Edge.   I signed the go green email.   I can confirm that our cabin was fully cleaned throughout once each day in the morning.   In the evening , the attendant again serviced the room by emptying the garbage, replacing towels if on the floor, closed curtains, placed the daily on the bed and chocolates on the pillow.   I asked him about the new procedures, and he explained that since I/we opted for the go green service, the only thing he did not do in the evening was a second complete cleaning of the cabin.  So yes it is being implemented on Celebrity as well

  6. Barwick Cruiser, my wife and I were on this cruise as well.  We 100% agree with everything you posted.   We are seasoned cruisers on multiple lines and several with Celebrity.   We had a fantastic cruise in all respects and only complaint is that we enjoyed the food too much and now our waistline is suffering.  Lol

This I cannot believe - everyone.  Not like the X casino is like a casino in Vegas or Atlantic City.

On the silhouette now BCC comped.   I have no drink package for the cruise.  While playing slots , the waiter came around several times and took my drink order, delivered it and no charge.  You cannot go to the casino bar yourself though, there you will be charged.

I’m really upset the way Celebrity is lowering their standards.  I’ve canceled both cruises for this year until things improve.  /s

Most of the negatives you are reading are not true.  I am currently on silhouette and am not seeing the lowering of standards.  Sorry you cancelled your cruises based on inaccurate information

  9. Currently on Silhouette as well.  No complaints at all.    Great food in Mdr and lots of people in ovc even for dinner.   Last night they had more selections in ovc as well.   Afternoon tea and snacks, they put out great assorted small sandwiches and an assortment of sweets.     Regarding the crew,  my stateroom attendant said they normally have 103 attendants , but since covid and the gradual increase of guests, they have 86.   He said they are not over worked and sees the attendant numbers increasing as the guest numbers increase and level off to pre covid levels.  He has been a stateroom attendant for 20 years and was very complimentary on how Celebrity treats them.
