Susan finally made her way out on deck and it was finally time to head to breakfast!
Off to Seven Seas we go!
Good News! My bowl of cottage cheese was bigger this morning!
Although, I think the yogurt parfait got smaller
Ham and Cheese Omelet
I got eggs to order and made a bagel breakfast sandwich.
If you want to make you own sandwich order:
eggs to order - over medium with either a side of bacon or ham
then order a whole bagel
and ask for a few cheese slices
The eggs to order is normally two eggs, only put one on the sandwich, then assemble the rest of the ingredients and enjoy!
No hashbrowns. Don't they serve them anymore?

The climate is perfect for growing them, hot and dry. The irrigation keeps the trees watered. The perfect Cherry needs a bit of water at formation and dry weather to form that perfect fruit.
We also enjoy the cherries. We buy a 20lb box each year from a packing shed nearby for only $20.
That would cost us $120!!
$5.99 LB this year

When I was a kid, we meet grandparents. (who lived in Wenatchee) and camp at Lake Wenatchee. pretty rugged back then, no bathrooms. Was a great adventure for us kids.

Hey all!
Just wanted to give you an update:

They are very similar. Both act as a deposit on your cruise without requiring additional money down.
Cruise Next are the certificates you buy on board. Sometimes there are "double up" promos so you can use more than one on your booking (ie - you can apply two to an inside cabin whereas usually you can only use one). They are valid for 4 years from purchase date.
Cruise First are the certificates you buy on land - you can buy them anytime on the NCL site. The general value is $300 for $150 though throughout the year they do run promos for a value of $500 for $250. They must be used on a cruise of 6+ days in length and can be applied to cruises 120 days from date of purchase. They are valid for 3 years from the purchase date.
Both CN and CF's are transferrable if you cannot use them to mitigate the risk of purchasing in case you cannot travel. You can give/sell them to someone who has a latitudes number. I have purchased them for gifting to my parents and the transfer process is easy.
Hope that helps!
Thank you!

I guess I missed something, what's the difference between cruise first and cruise next?
Thank you

Thinking of booking this cruise. if you have been on it, a few questions.
I am understanding airport is about an hour away from port. What transportation did you use?
What hotel did you stay in? and does it have a restaurant?
Is there a shuttle from hotels to port?
Thank you.

Loving your review. Is ship full? we were on Encore in June, and it had 4900 cruisers. plus crew.

If you don't receive the cards in your stateroom, go to casino players club on board and they will give you your drink card and players card.
-
Haven't seen or been notified if refunds will be given for excursions booked through NCL.
Thanks for any info.

Will be on Bliss in a couple of weeks. We are in Haven, have heard there is no entertainment in Observation Lounge. Correct?
Is there entertainment in other Observation Lounge and if so, is it bands, piano? And what times? Also heard no ice-cream machines in Observation Lounges. BOO! Thanks for any info.

I called NCL, and what I was told was they were having a problem today. Try tomorrow, or maybe Monday is what she then said.
I had also tried to get spa prices since DW mentioned she was interested in a message, and nothing would come up. I wonder if that is part of the same website problem.
I had same issue this morning. Cleared my browsing history and they printed fine this afternoon.

I know at least 8 people that have gotten it last couple of weeks. Not only on NCL.

We settled in for a long dark flight to Orlando. I was able to let my parents know when we were expected to land and also where were as we flew due to Alaska Airlines having free text and messaging.
This photo is a little blurry, but its Mission Ridge. Mission Ridge is a ski area just South of Wenatchee.
Service got slowed down to turbulence over the Rockies. Thus I started watching Below Deck with my phone on the free inflight entertainment options.
Susan and I got the fruit and cheese plate for our food service. We both did not care for the hot entrée offered, and we made sure to eat "dinner" in the lounge before we left.
At the end of an episode, I looked out and saw this. This is Alliance, Nebraska. We stopped here for lunch on our 2020 road trip. It is also home to a big BNSF yard. The really bright lights at the top of the town, is the BNSF yard.
Wichita, Kansas
Interesting note: The 737 I was flying in originated in Wichita at Spirit Aerospace and then was transported by BNSF train to Renton, WA for final assembly.
Bentonville, Arkansas - home of Walmart
Little Rock, Arkansas
Later in the flight we got mixed nuts and ice cream. Susan is taking a photo of the Ice Cream in this shot!
Here is her posing with said ice cream!
Starkville, Mississippi
Selma, Alabama
Dothan, Alabama
Gainesville, Florida
Icon Park in Orlando area - the dark area with the lights inside is a Lockheed Martin plant.
Florida Highway 528
SeaWorld Orlando
Orlando area on final approach
On the ground in Orlando, waiting on the gate crew to bring us into the gate. We sat looking at the gate for over 15 minutes.

Hi! Love your reviews. You going to do one for your latest cruise to AK?
-
Have only cruised to AK in June always cool and no rain, always very nice.
Can anyone tell me what to expect in August? Am assuming warmer, but also rainy?
Anyone know who concierge is in Haven?
Thanks

I have been ruby for years. I used to get comped balconies, then dropped to Oceanview, now just a percentage off cruise. So, if Comps aren't based on your play level, what are they based on?
In November on Bliss casino host wouldn't waive my cash advance fees. I think because I won a BIG jackpot. Said they would give me another $500 OBC,, but had to hurry to shops, because they were closing in 15 minutes (was last night of cruise) I hadn't even spent the OBC they gave me the 1st day of cruise. On Encore in June, they weren't going to waive them either, finally after half an hour of talking, she waived some of them.

Ivar's. At pier 54.
@amygutmanWe always stay at the waterfront Marriott. Ivars is good. we usually eat at the Hook and Plow restaurant in Marriott, if we don't want fish. Everywhere is pretty expensive.
Breakfast at Hook and Plow
Dinner at Hook and Plow Lasagna and Chicken Marsala

@Sthrngary Are there special breakfast room order forms for Haven to hang on door the night before? I have never seen any in the cabin.

Havens on those ships are exactly the same. Same food, same layouts. What makes the difference is the concierge, butler and room steward. Just off Encore 2 weeks ago and Bowen was very organized and great concierge. Naveen was our butler, and he was great too. Will be going on Bliss in August, not sure who concierge is, but like the itinerary.
For port excursions go to NCL Cruises. in left hand corner click on Explore, then click on shore excursions for Alaska and then the port you are interested in exploring. Everyone enjoys different things and has a different budget, but. we like whale watching, Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau. in Skagway the train, or Scenic bus tour to Alaska sign etc. Ketchikan, we like walking around town and creek Street. Sitka we like the Best of Sitka tour, and icy Strait Point we like either whale watching or riding the gondola to the top of the mountain.
-
And when you get to your cabin you have to watch it again on your tv, before you can change the channel. 🤣😁

@room with a view I don't cancel cruises; I call and have NCL change it.
