We have the Princess Plus package. The NEW 2 casual dining meals per guest? I say it applies only to the casual venues such as: Casual dining meals is: Alfredo's, Gigis, etc. Appetizer $5, Pizza $12, Dessert $3. My TA says it applies to: Specialty Restaurants are Sabatini's, Crown Grill, etc. Meal $39. Princess sure has generated a topic for discussion!

From looking at the pics provided on other forums, specifically the Enchanted Princess, Champaign Water Fall, not too many people are dressed on that Formal night. That cruise went out of Rome or Barcelona. What would we talk about if we didn't have Formal nights. LOL

My personal opinion when I compare this function to other Cruise Lines. Charging $8 per drink from a selected list? Not a perk or benefit at all. JMHO!

We have done 55 Princess cruises and 3 more this year on Princess. However, we do other cruise lines, too. This way there is a variety of ships, entertainment, food ports, etc. Happy Cruising!

Have you done 54 cruises on Princess only? Shows do change even on Princess.

That used to be Traditional Dining without extra cost. Happy Cruising!

I have to reflect back on the first time a cruise line started implementing a My, Any, whatever time dining other than the old Traditional. So many complained that they would never accept anything other than Traditional Dining. If that cruise line did not offer Traditional Dinning they would not cruise that line again. LOL Now you are paying extra for Reserve. LOL REGARDLESS, HAPPY CRUISING! Enjoy it, it is your choice!

Nothing is soo difficult. However, have you talked to the MDR personnel and asked why they don't address the dress suggestion issues? I have on various cruise lines and they all say the same thing. 'We don't want to cause a conflict, disturbance or loose a client.' This is not a Rocket Ship, it is a Cruise Ship! LOL Happy Cruising!!

So, if they are getting too relaxed, that means you dress as you like. Princess will not confront anyone to create a scene or loose a client. Money counts!

I hope you are wrong about waiting for starters. Only done 55 cruises on Princess and never waiting more than 5 minutes and most of the time we had a table reserved and just walked right in. We also had the same waiters almost always. Extra entrees? Don't need any more food. What about the times they use to prepare at the tables regardless of your status? I know that was a fire hazard. LOL Baked Alaska, pasta, Flambee, etc. That was all free and no extra charges.

Agree, what is the big difference and benefits from eating in the suite breakfast venue and reserve dining? We have a table for 2, eat when we want so that would not be a plus for us. JMHO!

Why do you think it does not matter to me? I'm just starting facts! This subject has been discussed for over 25 years. On all Cruise Lines. Do you wear a Tux or Gown on whatever the ole Formal Night is now called on each line? Or a suite or evening dress? I only cruise 9 to 10 times each year on 4 to 5 cruise lines and see what is happening. So, that is my opinion! Thanks for yours.

I experienced an issue on MSC in Europe. Like you, I provided Corp P&P printed from their website. You identified the major problem. Training! They don't take the time to train as it is time consuming and costly. This is not only applicable to Cruise Lines but to all Companies. We as clients cruise a Cruise Line and expect constant policies and procedures. JMHO! HAPPY CRUISING!

Does it really matter how many formal nights there are on a cruise? People will dress the way they want. Princess will not enforce any dress suggestions. Mute point! Dress as you like! That's what people do!

Should each ship handle any change different? Procedures should be standard and apply to all ships. No organization should be that lax to do what they want and how they want it to be. Just my experience in military and corporate life in 60 years.

Apparently you don't care if you get charged for two and only eat one/share one. That is not the question. In reality, regardless of Plus package or what. If each guest has a package, why can't that person order their item. Then share it with whomever? What is it that they cannot share? It is not an unlimited like a drink package. You only get 2/Plus Pkg.

What about one person going into the place and order a takeout for one. Then taking it to the open area where you have tables and then share it with the other person? Or ordering and have it delivered to a location on the ship? Or are they not allowing takeout? WE have Plus.

You misinterpreted my comment. Who on this forum can or may say what is accepted to represent Princess? Yes, I have seen torn jeans on other cruise lines. Not yet on Princess. So, I will buy some and wear them to prove a point. LOL
