  1. Fully agree. Since we are paying the extra $ per day, the meals should be based on a 7 day sailing.
  2. Thanks for all your info and details. One thing I would like to clarify is how Princess excels in the MDR with their menus. You stated: 'I did notice the second week the same items as in the first week reappearing. This is my only negative comment.' On NCL they are using the same menu each night without any changes on the Prima, their new ship. So, just hope that Princess does not follow NCL and use one menu, the same menu, each night. As for the $39 for the Specialty Restaurants. That is very reasonable. The other lines are charging $50 and above. If you visited Ruth's Chris Steak House today, you could expect to pay a minimum of around $61 for a 16 ounce New York Strip. Ribeye would run close to $69. From the cruise lines we have cruised on the past 2 years, Princess is the most reasonable. Happy Cruising!
  3. Will this new change or change cause the French Fries to be delivered an hour later and they will be cold. SMH
  4. Congratulations! You are right on. I have to agree with you 100% Happy Cruising!
  5. Have you cruised recently on another line? We have on RCI 4X, CELEBRITY 4X, MSC 4X, NCL 4X in past 2 years. They are doing the same thing. Cutting back BIG time. Price out beverage packages, Specialty Restaurants, tips. Please let us know when you try the others and how it is. Happy Cruising!
  6. I think you are missing the point when people say CG is very reasonable at $39 compare to other cruise lines. I am one of those who say that to provide valuable info to others to inform them of what pricing is on other cruise lines. I assumed that is what this forum is for. Information! If someone thinks $39 is too expensive for a 3 course meal..... Yes, food has been paid for on a cruise. You may go to the MDR or buffet However, if you want a special meal for a special evening $39 for a meal is very reasonable. If you can do better at home with a local restaurant, wait until then to have that special evening. I accept your opinion as $39 being too much. It is your money and no one should be telling you what to spend $39 on. I think other things are expensive on a cruise. So, I spend my money on what I think is worth it. I personally don't believe the Sancturary is worth $20 or $40. Again, my point is. This forum is information and comparing costs and other cruise lines to Princess is germane to discussion. Happy Cruising!
  7. Do you really think with the survey any cruise line would not implement something that would increase profits? Just like all the surveys we fill out when we end our cruise. LOL
  8. Isn't it nice we have choices? If they included it in the price of the total cruise, then you would not have a choice. Catch 22! You cannot please everyone everytime!
  9. Have you recently cruised on the other lines? They do it the same way. Been on them and see it happen both last year and this year. Happy Cruising!
  10. Fully understand your statement. I was just stating my position. I have nothing against TAs. I am glad they provide the service they do. Especially when I cruise MSC. LOL
  11. Your a TA and I'm sure you will answer your own question. I have a TA , however, I decide who to cruise with. The TA doesn't push me into any cruise line or product Happy Cruising!
  12. Let's be honest. Which cruise line is not doing the same thing? We cruised Celebrity, MSC, NCL Princess and RCI this year and last year. They are all doing the same thing. They are in business to make a profit and if you want to cruise you will pay.
  13. The Sanctuary cost seems reasonable to many people. However, the new Princess Plus or Premium which gives you much more is gouging. Example $60 per day for the added perks compare to $40 per day for the use of an adult space on a ship. What am I missing?
  14. They may think if you will pay $1,056 per day, What's another $5? That's called 5 & 10 (nickle & dimeing.) LOL
  15. Like many have said and agree with you. It is your money and your choice. You opinion counts. Happy Cruising!

  17. Bottom line. Only you know if it is worth it or not! Anyone can justify their reason for or against. We talk to some people who would never go on a cruise. Some would never go on that cruise line. Some would never do that category of cabin. Some would never....... Which some are you? Happy Cruising!
  18. Thank you! I assumed he was implying the drinks were watered down or poor quality. We don't drink 15 per day. However, most drinks are $10. A glass of wine at lunch, before dinner, at dinner and after dinner is 4 drinks. $40 just for that. Cappo at breakfast no more card. The Elite set up is Ok, but I would rather see it based on 7 day cruises vs 1 setup for a cruise. We are on a 21 day Cruise. At $60 a day for the Plus is very reasonable compare to the other cruise lines we cruise on each year. RCI beverage packages start off at $60 and that only includes drinks. Happy Cruising!
  19. Please explain: alcohol was disgusting by day fifteen. I really don't understand your comment. TIA
  20. Agree! This is a cheap way out. Just like one cabin set up per cruise regardless of number of days.
  21. We are traveling from the US to Paris, De Gaulle (CDG) airport then to Barcelona. It has been a couple of years going through De Gaulle. Are you required to go through customs in De Gaulle to board your next flight to Barcelona?
  22. Most cruise lines no longer have the ole Formal nite or dress code.
