Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you, all for places look very inviting, especially Le Lezard. How do you go about making reservation for Hilton restaurant, there is no place on their website to do it. would we be able to get it once we get there?
  2. Thank you again. I booked a private Cap Camarat guided boat rental with Moana Adventures. I think it's going to be what we are looking for as it will give as total flexibility on what we want to do. Now, if you would give me please some hints on where to dine on Moorea as we are going to stay 4 nights at Hilton after our Oceania cruse. We will have a car there. thank you.
  3. Want to do a scenic lagoon cruise on Bora Bora and everything I looked at is geared for snorkeling stops. I just want a cruise around Bora Bora without snorkeling. I checked multiple companies on TripAdvisor but they all have snorkeling or beach stops where you would have to get in the water to go ashore. Husband can't get his foot wet. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.
  4. Yes, absolutely, everything needs to be taken in consideration to have a successful trip. For somebody who flies a lot, as in my case, cancelling, booking, re-booking, taking flight vouchers/credits and using them is not a problem. For Biz class savings of a couple of thousands per ticket it's worth it. For economy, savings of a couple of hundred definitely not worth it.
  5. That's right. I booked our HNL to SYD flight in Biz class on Qantas through Alaska Airline website and it was about 1K cheaper per person then on Qantas site. Also booked Air Tahiti Nui PPT to LAX in Biz on Qantas site for same 1K pp cheaper then ATN site. Also found it was a lot cheaper to have two separate tickets for each leg then one all the way trough for Biz class ticket. It pays to play airline games.
  6. Two nights in Honolulu to break up the long flight to Sydney from East coast, 3 nights in Sydney then March 10th on Oceania Regatta, Sydney to Papeete. 4 nights in Overwater bungalow at Hilton Moorea after the cruise. Few hours in Hilton Papeete before late flight to LAX. It is going to be a long tiring trip. Starting to question myself why I went for it.
  7. Mer, thank you for this detailed review. We are booked on O cruise for next March and staying at Moorea Hilton for four nights afterwards. As a first timer to FP I got so much valuable information from your review and definitely appreciate your effort taking time to write it. Thank you again.
  8. Everybody likes their meat cooked differently. That’s why they will cook it to order if you ask. For some reason some people would say nasty remarks if you say you like your burger or steak cooked well done, saw it many times. I am for one like all my meat and vegetables well well done and don’t like when juice is dripping out of it, have to be dry. But that’s me. We are all different.
  9. I absolutely agree. For those who are not very savvy with the airfare games or just don’t want to get into it for whatever reason, cruise line airfare is the ticket. I am for one enjoy the game and spend couple of hours a day playing with it (retired). For our O cruise out of Sydney in march of 2024 I started to play with it way out of 330 days out (mock up dates) just to get a feel of who flies where and different combinations and flights share possibilities. You be surprised what you can come up with. But again you have to enjoy doing it. Same goes for hotels. still have not pulled the trigger even though it’s within the date range for outbound flight but not for return. Will have to do two one ways. Comes out much better than multi. So the game is still on.
