  1. We'll see. I'm cruising next week. I'll let them know how I feel. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  2. We can complain and complain and complain. Maybe they will get the message.
  3. Don't need turndown service. Just need bathroom refreshed, clean towels, ice, and dirty dishes removed. I'm not a fan of placing them outside the door because they tend to sit there for hours.
  4. Call them on the Phone. I always research what I want ahead of time, then call them for a price, which also is a guarantee to get to the ship on time.
  5. Evening service is minimal. We just want the bathroom tidied up and clean towels, especially after coming back from an excursion. In most cases the bed is already made. It doesn't take that long to do that and refresh the ice and remove dirty dishes. Those who want once-a-day service, pat yourself on the back. If I don't get twice-a-day service, I'll be down to guest services every day.
  6. Concierge and AQ staterooms are around 200 sqft whereas all the other veranda staterooms are around 170 sqft. There are a handful of AQ and CC and SV staterooms with larger balconies, but room size is basically the same.
  7. I have no idea why they didn't. We got off Grandeur in Miami last month, and they used facial recognition.
  8. I don't think it had anything to do with equipment as the Anthem cruise was was 4 years earlier. Celebrity must not have participated in the facial recognition.
  9. They face ID us on Anthem, but on Summit last July, they did not. Either way, you should have no problem getting to Newark Airport on time.
  10. It rotates on all of the Radiance Class ships. Some bartenders don't want to rotate it as they have to stop/start it when they enter or depart the bar. Glad they fixed it on Brilliance.
  11. I can't remember his name, but you'll know him when you see him.
  12. Funny you should bring that up. On Royal they have oil cans (25oz Fosters). I bring a foldable plastic cooler on board. When I order a Fosters, about 1/2 way thru, it starts to warm up, so I put the Fosters between two ziplock bags filled with ice in the cooler after I open it. Keeps it nice and cold.
  13. We were on the same B2B. I remember Myra very well, but there was a young bartender working with her who had long hair and who wore a wig during the 6-nighter, then transferred to a man bun during the TA. Had tattoos all over his hands. Great laugh and great sense of humor. Took great care of us.
  14. That may be true, but we had the same bartender for the entire TA and the 6-nighter prior. He was great, and fixed us some wonderful concoctions. He took care of us, and we took care of him. Glad they fixed it. They were missing some parts, not that they didn't try to jerry-rig it to get it moving.
  15. If you are renting a car at the airport, don't take the shuttle transfers they offer or others offer to the airport for a set price. It drops you off at the airport, and it is a long walk with luggage to catch a tram to the off-site rental car area. It was a PIA. Take a taxi from the port to the rental car location.
  16. I seriously doubt it. If you are not happy with the location and find a better one in the same category, you can call and have it switched.
  17. True. We cultivate a relationship with the Viking Crown evening bartender. It's a great place for evening drinks. I hope they fixed the rotating bar. It was out of order during our last TA.
  18. I grew up that way also with a family of 8. Whenever someone tells me something is "home made" I tell them that is why I left home. 😃 I like meatloaf, mashed, and green beans, but just not on a cruise. If there's nothing on the menu that meets my fancy, I go for the strip steak, but I'm reading that's no longer available?
  19. Yeah, since they added that 18%, I don't leave any extra tip. It used to be the price included grat for the servers.
  20. It was chilled enough that I wouldn't have to find the need or even think of putting an ice bucket inside. Maybe some coolers on other ships didn't work as well as the one I had. It seemed my cooler was closer to a real refrigerator. Maybe it was. 🙄
  21. If you say it DID fit, OK. I just didn't find the need as it kept my beer, bloody mary mix, and wife's diet cranberry chilled. I just needed to add my beer later to my ice bucket to keep it extra, extra chilled to my liking.
  22. The chiller/refrig on Grandeur kept water and other beverages chilled. Can't imagine fitting an ice bucket in there. It kept beer at about 45 degrees. I just asked for a champagne bucket of ice and used it to finish off my beer that was already chilled to the cold temp I wanted it. I kept my opened bloody mary mix in it for 7-10 days, and it never spoiled.
  23. We just got off Grandeur, no starlink, and the internet sucked big time!. I was told Vision did have it by the IT person on board, and it would be much better than on Grandeur. We are embarking on the 27th, so time will tell.
