  1. We were on the 5/6/23 cruise in the St. Thomas Suite. It was wonderful. No issues with AC or food at all. Everything was clean and though it was crowded, it never felt that way. Very nice time.
  2. Hey neighbor, I am boarding tomorrow and will let you know my opinions. ☺️
  3. If you have an aft suite booked on Dolpin deck, is it still worth it to try for Sanctuary time? I would think no, but I've never actually been to the Sanctuary (except to peek in), so I don't really know. I was going to try on my cruise Saturday, but if it's not worth it, I don't really want to waste time waiting on line for it. πŸ˜€
  4. Totally agree, when you are a certain age, the meds you pack start to exceed your regular toiletries. My husband and I are packing right for a 7 day, and I have everything from Imodium to Tylenol to Ginger drops, etc. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜€
  5. Hello, I am on this cruise next week - interested in how early you got off the ship because I have an early flight home. We are also in an aft suite and we are hoping to be off the ship in the very first group.
  6. I did Alaska early September in 2017 on the Ruby Princess. It wasn't deck chair weather, but it was definitely t-shirt weather. I brought a jacket, hat and gloves and only used them while on my balcony sailing by the Glaciers. Otherwise the weather was beautiful and the scenery incredible. I would not hesitate to book this time of year again. (Actually I am booked for Alaska in August 2024)
  7. Thank you. I am on this ship in 2 weeks and slightly concerned. Are you still enjoying yourself? My husband spends most of the time on the balcony in our cabin anyway, so we might not get sick. Anything you suggest we have with us just in case? Masks, hand sanitizer? Obviously tylenol? ☺️
  8. I am in a suite on my upcoming cruise and laundry is provided. I was wondering they provide a laundry bag in the cabin for this or should I bring my own?
  9. Hey, thanks for all of these comments on the CB - I will be on this ship next month and found this VERY helpful. πŸ™‚
  10. Anyone know how early the first Princess Transfer bus leaves Ft. Lauderdale from the Caribbean Princess? Trying to figure out if it's faster to take an uber to the airport since I have an early flight home. Thank you. πŸ™‚
  11. We are in a suite as well, but might not take a chance - I have us booked on a 10:20am flight out of FLL (optimistic, I know) - Maybe I will just try to do carry on if I pack right. ☺️
  12. I will be on this ship in 2 months - thanks for this review. Very helpful. Can you tell me what time you debarked? I booked an early flight and wondered what time you were able to get off the ship and get your luggage? Thank you. πŸ™‚
  13. I'll be on the Elation in 3 week myself and can't wait. πŸ™‚
  14. Thank you all for the responses. Very helpful. I am looking forward to this trip, but NOT the steep ramp to the ship πŸ™‚ I will close my eyes and walk it though because it's a cruise πŸ™‚ Flying into JAX the morning of departure and taking a cab or uber from the airport to port. We don't mind no bells and whistles on the ship - my husband mostly hangs out on the balcony or a deck chair and reads and I make my time between deck chair, spa and casino so we're all good. πŸ™‚
  15. I am booked on 4 day Elation cruise out of Jacksonville in December for my husband and I. Suite cabin. Haven’t done this ship or port and wondered how it is. We are late 50’s and mostly just lounge chair people who enjoy quiet time. Heard they board on deck 7 and it’s a long walk up, is that an open air walk up? Slightly afraid of heights. No specialty restaurants but assume the food is good (I’ve always really loved the food on carnival). Any info helpful. Much thanks.
  16. Thank you πŸ™‚ My husband looks forward to the deli πŸ™‚
  17. Does the Elation have the Deli? I don't see either pizza or deli on the deck plans and wondered if they don't have those options. Thanks.
  18. Good morning, I am going out of Jacksonville on Carnival in December and noticed there are no airport transfers offered. I have always used that option as it works well for us. Is this a COVID thing? I have curised in the last year and it's been offered by Princess, but not Carnival in Jacksonville. Anyone know if there are available cabs at the airport or should I book a car service? Is the port very far from the airport? Thanks very much. πŸ™‚
  19. We do a 4 day short cruise every December or January and almost always to the Bahama's - we've had great luck with the weather and spend many days in a deck chair. We will be out there again this year too. πŸ™‚ No worries, it'll be nice enough out for anything you like.
  20. Delta or Southwest to Kansas City. I have options from both LAX and Long Beach but I get back on a Thursday morning and am worried about the rush hour traffic going to LAX. I thought Long Beach would just be easier. Thanks πŸ™‚
  21. Hello, I am on a short cruise in December out of Long Beach and want to book an easy in/out from that airport. Realistically speaking, for coming home, could I make a 10:15am flight? It's a 3 night cruise and I will just have a carryon. My only other option is 6pm in the evening and I was hoping not to hang around that long. Thanks very much.
  22. Fantastic!! Thank you all, so helpful πŸ˜€
  23. Good afternoon, I've read some mixed reviews for sure. Wondering if anyone would seriously NOT recommend the Sky Princess for a 7 day Fjords cruise? Husband and I are in our late 50's and booking an aft suite. We've cruised Princess twice before and LOVED it. Thanks in advance.
