Question....If you booked with a travel agency for Dec. can you get the UDP + UBP thru them or from NCL. Thanks
The promotion was only on sailings thru 9/28/14

I have a general request for anyone cruising on Divina. Could you make a notation of which nights are the theme nights. Im sure it changes from the eastern to western, but if we could get an idea it would help in planning.
If you are anyone sailing soon could post the daily schedule that would also prove beneficial
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Spoofing is associated with cell phones, not good old fashioned landlines.
Who told you that? ?

Personally I think they should have a way to verify a minimum number of people will be attending. If less than 20 are interested then just scrap it.
While the current system is easy for them, adding a way to contact someone with a list would much better.
It just seems problematic, effectively communicating with MSC.
With that big sale the Mac roll calls are much more active, so hopefully MSC will tweak the system.

It was at 3:30 in the Silver Lounge. We had a roll call, but very few participated.
Thanks
It seems from other reports that Silver lounge @ 3-3:30 is the time set aside for cruise critic.
Since people aren't showing up,its doubtful MSC will send staff to the event.

This shows the breakfast times for debarkation day on Divina

MSC included a Meet & Greet in the daily newsletter for the afternoon of the first sea day, but I couldn't find anyone at the announced location.
What was the time and location? Was there an active roll call for your sailing?

Post from msc
There are two laundry packages available that allow you to have up to 20 pieces washed:- Regular Laundry Package - $25 (items are collected before 10am and reteurned before 5pm the next day)
-Express Laundry Pacakge - $40 (items are collected before 9am and returned before 5pm the same day)
Hope this helps!
Would you happen to know the price? Or an approximative price... -
While most of those on cruise critic are aware of the drink packages, the average cruise does not.
I think these emails are sent out as a way to get the word out and to generate pre cruise revenue.

Isn't there another bar close to Sunset? I can't remember the name? Does anyone recall what it is and how is their food compared to Sunset? I know Sunset has those huge cheeseburgers!!
Nice video someone took

Thanks for doing this. I would like to see video shots of the buffet area stations and seating.
Also footage of sailaway and deck parties and theme events would be nice.

Also, if I get vouchers, do they expire at the end of the cruise or can I use my vouchers thru out my back to back?
Thanks again.
Im also curious about this.
Also wondering if you pre purchase 3 can you adjust the order down to 2 once onboard.

Any idea what Valor is doing July 27, 2014? Seems to have disappeared from the online booking options?
Is that a possible for a dry-dock?
Its a full ship charter during that week.
-
If is printed in the daily program does that mean it is open to anyone on the ship or is it a "private" Cruise Cric group only?
Since there are no snacks or beverages, I cant imagine many that arent cruise critic members interested.

Thanks for the update. When you say hosted, who is usually there from the staff?
-
they arranged one last month & we were notified. When we got down to the lounge, there was only one other couple there. After awhile, they asked us if others were going to show up. I found it embarrassing as there had a few MSC people there. We just said no & to forget it. We invited the other couple up to our cabin.
How many people said they were coming? Was the location known pre cruise or did you find out the time and location after boarding?

Just wondering if things have improved.

The Tuesday sale brochure is still showing single supplements as low as 150%, and they are starting to show the holiday cruises now. In another 2 weeks all the unsold holiday cruises will be showing up:
http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf
Thats nice for those that have flexible schedules and/or live close to port... but many have to plan their cruises well in advance and/or factor in getting to the ship last minute.

I'd like to weigh in on this as well... I cruise solo occasionally and I was thinking about a 3 day trip after the holidays on 12/27. Well the price is listed around 2k for 3 days , really? That's for an inside room and I have never even cruised in an interior room? How is that possible? If this is the trend for solos? If so I guess after 35 cruises with RCI I will have to find a new way to travel.. I can see paying a higher rate because it's around the holidays, 2k for 3 days??? Am I missing something?
Yikes!!!
Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
What ship are you checking? You can book a jr suite for majesty and enchantment for dec 27 3 day cruises for under 2k. Maybe it was a glitch when you were price checking.
-
It is much more complex than that.
Even if RC's NCF contains more than just port charges, they STILL cannot legally collect two sets of port charges when THEY are only paying one.
If you check prices on Carnival for a solo you will see double charges. Its been that way for quite some time. Since no one knows how the NCF are configured they can arrive at that number in any number of ways.
On carnival if you book a cabin as a solo then later on add a person, the person you add just has to pay the current govt fees and taxes. So that tells me they are charging the solo person both sets of fees(one set of govt fees and taxes).
This has been beaten to death over on the Carnival board for years, guess Royal is just following suit.
If its illegal you should book a Carnival cruise as a solo, then sue them
People kept saying the charges where a glitch on royals site, but they are still there and C&A told me the prices were correct.
-
why wouldn't you get the double points. if that is the new RCI policy, I don't think they'll keep changing it based on what you are paying. Time will tell how RCI will handle this policy, but the way I read it, Singles will get the double.
In the member benefits it says that
SI studio interiors
and
SB studio balcony
are excluded from the extra point
One Cruise Point for each completed night of sailing and an extra Cruise Point per night when you purchase and sail in suite accommodations (categories RL, RS, PS, SL, TS, A1, A2, A3, CL, OS, FS, GS, JS) and/or sail in any category and pay a single pricing type for double occupancy staterooms. All other rates including Travel Agent rates, as well category SI and SB, are excluded from single price type extra point promotion. Cruisetours are included as an additional night per each day on the cruise tour. Points will be awarded by rate paid not rate berthed, for example, in the instance of an upgrade from an outside to a suite category.
