I think the person should be identified too. Am I being mean...you betcha!!! But so is this woman who thought she could get away with what she is doing to Marie. Like the saying goes...every dog has their day...OR maybe if Marie doesn't want to post her name, perhaps she could e-mail the regular ladies who correspond with her and let us know that way. What do you think?

I think that is an appropriate thing to do. Although I am a newbie to this thread I have already learned so much from these boards. It seems like a close knit group here and I look forward to getting to know you all better. Hopefully no more of you generous kind ladies will be scammed by this person. I will add my email to my signature if anyone wants to let me know who to steer clear of :rolleyes:. Since I don't really know everyone that well yet, I couldn't begin to guess who this person is.

On a lighter note, I have a couple dresses that I have been saving for a friend, but if she doesn't still want them, I will post them here next week (if I can figure out how to do that)!

I stop by our Ross store a couple times a month, but we have a smaller version I think because we are not a big city. It also feels kind of empty because the racks/shelves look almost bare. I seem to find a better selection in some of the bigger towns close to me. I always make a couple of road trips before my cruise! :D

Marie, I'm sorry that someone treated you this way after your generosity. I am sure organizing all the emails and who everything should be sent to, not to mention the time to package it all up and send it, takes quite a while even beyond the generosity of giving people the clothing at no charge. I know you have my email--let me know how much the postage was and I will send it to you along with the postage for the dress you are giving me, once I get home and get my lovely dress from you! (I am still at my Iowa house trying to get it ready to sell, probably the middle of the month before I head home.) Barb

I am still amazed at how kind and thoughtful you ladies are! Although I am new to this thread and haven't yet had the pleasure of receiving one of Marie's goodies, I thought the same thing last night when I read her post. I would also love to help recover the shipping costs that she is out for this transaction.

Marie, please know that the person who did this is in a category of her own when it comes to this wonderful group of ladies here.

I was a bit upset last night when I received an email from one of the lady who received one of my gowns. She accused me of misrepresenting the gown; apparently she could not get into the gown. She also said, since she cannot wear my gown, therefore she should not have to pay for the postage. I told her to throw it in the trash :mad::(.

 

I show my husband the email. He was upset too. He wanted me to take my clothes to the Goodwill. I have to think about this

I agree with indygolfer, I hope one bad apple doesn't prevent you from sharing your gorgeous items in the future. And I was just thinking, with a good pair of heels, I might could wear one of those lovely gowns!:)

How do you get the full list of ammenities to show up? I click on "see more..." in the box and it still only lists a few. Some of the descriptions are very literal and I think if I can see all the ammenities I will have a pretty good idea of which hotel I am looking at. I still have a while to lurk, so I am looking just in case I catch a great deal. We will only need one night and just want clean, good area and resonable price. We prefer not to pay a resort fee. I think priceline would be too risky since they seem to lump all the areas together.

Wow! Sorry that happened to you Marie :(. Unfortunately it happens a lot these days. My job involves working with employees' financial account information and it seems I never go a month without someone coming into my office to change/update account numbers because their personal information has been compromised in some way. I had one lady who's information was stolen through her online payment of her cell phone account. Those crooks can come up with all kinds of ways to do it.

Marie, I have been admiring your gowns for some time now. I think how you recycle your gowns and accessories is very kind. Unfortunately, I am not a very tall person, 5'2" on a good day!, and I also wear a smaller size shoe, but I love love love that bag! Is it up for grabs?
