  1. thanks everyone for the tips. I've never gotten what you are calling bounce back offer. My friend cruising with me a couple years ago got one the night before we got off the ship. Mine was just a casino rate listed under the vifp offers.

  2. Yes, I read the part about the casino credit but it doesn't say how much and I never received anything in the mail, just came up when I booked my September cruise. So, I don't know if they will honor it.

To redeem the FunPlay Chips offer, the named VIFP Club® member must bring the original mail piece to the casino cashier’s desk on board. Enjoyment of the FunPlay Chips is subject to validation, and Carnival reserves the right to refuse redemption. Prior to cashing, the named VIFP Club® member will be required to show a valid ID and to confirm his or her name. FunPlay Chips are issued in $5 denominations and can be played on any eligible table game. FunPlay Chips are valid for one bet only and will be redeemed for the corresponding value of casino chips upon a winning bet. FunPlay Chips cannot be exchanged and are nonredeemable.

  3. So, I'm hoping it works the other way around too. Turns out my casino rate is only about $20 pp less than the early saver rate. It's for September and seems like those usually drop some closer to sailing. I booked on carnival website myself.

  4. I know if I want to change my cruise date that technically I have to cancel and rebook, with a $50 pp charge. If the rate is higher when I make the changes do I have to pay the difference, or do I still get the original rate at which I booked it?

  5. This is the pricing guide for the reduced deposits.....

Definitely shouldn't be $800. Although it does say "capacity controlled". I remember someone on FB saying they were having this problem during the last reduced deposit' date=' and, the answer they were given is that Carnival had already filled their availability for that sailing under the reduced deposits. I have no idea if that is actually the case or not, but, that's what they were told on the Carnival FB page.[/quote']

If that's the case then this particular cruise should not come up under that promotion as an option to book. Even throughout the 'pretend' booking it states "$49 reduced deposit" as one of the booking category perks.

  6. I bought this LV bag in Paris a few years ago. I rarely use it. I wanted everyone to have a chance to get it. Please DO NOT email me. Please post it here, in a day or two I will write all your user name on a piece of a paper and draw it.

  8. We have stayed at HH 3 times now and love the location. They also allowed us to leave our car there for the week. HH is also owned by the same people as the Tremont Hotel and Hotel Galvez. (you can use the Galvez shuttle to go to and from and all walk to the top of the Tremont to have a drink, very nice) We stayed at Galvez on our last cruise because of HH being under renovation. I booked Galvez online and then called the hotel about leaving our car there for the week and they had a special stay and cruise rate that included the valet, overnight parking and the parking for the week of the cruise. They shuttled us to and from the port. This was for the same price as booking just a room on line. We would of had to pay for everything seperatly. We would not have gotten that deal had I not called to ask a question. I was able to cancel the online booking.

Thanks for the information! I can book HH on a 3rd party website now for less than what I have Comfort Inn & Suites booked for but I' holding out to book direct. Hopefully March reservations will be open soon and rooms will still be available at the same rate. I'm a little concerned about all the shops and stuff closing at 6pm since we will be there on a Sunday night but maybe there'll still be plenty of things to see and do in the area.

I know the seawall area will be covered up with spring breakers!
