  1. It is very windy here, on the popular social media site it was saying earlier they were going ahead. I don’t think it will be pleasant stood on the prom watching. We went a few weeks ago to watch and it was fab but won’t be going tonight Michelle
  2. Afternoon everyone, hope you are all ok today in this horrible weather. A large climbing bush/tree has been blown off our garden fence and has snapped so a bit of tidying the garden when the weather calms down. We have grandchildren(and parents)visiting from Whitley Bay for the weekend, so looking forward to that. It’s the World Fireworks championships tonight in Blackpool but the weather doesn’t look great unfortunately. Hope you all have a nice day and weekend Michelle
  3. Good afternoon everyone, hope everyone is ok today. It is bright but breezy here today, just walked the dogs and the wind was blowing quite a bit across the golf course. I have been to a coffee group this morning but not planning on doing much this afternoon. I might look into the Nationwide bank account. We are going to a Halloween Party too, me as Cruella and my hubby ad a Dalmatian. I need to find a wig so I will have to look for that too. Have a nice day everyone Michelle
  4. This is not Caribbean related info but I have just seen something called Seatrac. It is in Greece and has remote controlled wheelchair access into the sea. There are over 200 locations in Greece where it is https://seatrac.gr/en/about-seatrac/ Michelle

  7. Nassau - we walked ( wheelchair )through the port area with lots of shops to browse through. Turned right out of the port are and followed the road for about 15 minutes to Junkanoo Beach. Got a couple of sun beds drinks included. Toilet facilities available. San Juan - docked close to town centre. Walked(wheelchair) up to the castle and then cdd and me back through the town. Pavements are not the best but we managed ok. Antigua - picked up a taxi at the port and did a tour of the Island. Lots of taxis available Michelle
  8. St Martaan - we walked(wheelchair)through the port area, lots of tourist shops bars and on the road/pavement into the town. Lots of shops and bars and a beach directly in front of the shops on a paved walkway. Aruba - in the morning walked(wheelchair)into the town, had a look around some nice shops. In the afternoon we took a taxi to Palm Beach. There were wooden walkways on the beach, they found sun beds for us directly next to the walkway Michelle
  9. Cozumel - was there in 2017, no tender which was good. We got a taxi to Nachi Cocom a private beach resort with also a pool area and lunch was included in the price. I had a collapsible wheelchair with me and I remember was using it around the resort. There are also quite a number of shops around Cozumel port area Michelle
  10. I am going to look into this as I have MS too. Staysure quoted me an extra £290 to upgrade from Europe to Worldwide cover up to April next year Michelle
  11. Sorry to hear this Josy, hope your symptoms are mild and that you recover quickly Michelle
  12. We didn’t tender in Cozumel or Jamaica. Only been to both ports once so had no idea what to do at either port. Reading recommendations from our roll call thread on CC we went to Nachi Cocom Beach Resort in Cozumel which was fabulous and accessible as I remember for me in a wheelchair. We went rafting down the Martha Brae River in Jamaica which requires you to step onto the raft to sit down but they did help you. Hope you have a fabulous time Michelle
  13. We have to pay for our garden waste removal, I think it’s about £60 per year for each bin you have. Once you have paid they send you a sticker to put on your bin to say it’s all paid for and they will empty it then. Michelle
  14. Gosh that’s early for gardens to be decked out for Halloween. I can’t believe we are getting towards the back end of the year already, it doesn’t seem two minutes since I was buying daffodils in the Spring Michelle
  15. Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all ok today. It’s a lovely sunny day here today but a bit chilly. Hubby said it was only 6.5 degrees when he left for work this morning about 7am. I have just been shopping with my mum this morning to Booths and their Christmas food book was out. Guess I will be browsing through this afternoon and deciding what to order.
  16. It sounds like a busy day Josy. I hope your niece is ok and home soon Michelle

  19. That sounds truly awful Eglesbrech, I cannot even begin to imagine what it must have been like for them. I hope there is no more rain forecast for them anytime soon. Take care all you people who have been affected by this Michelle
  20. It just sounds awful for all the people affected Michelle
  21. Afternoon everyone, hope you are all ok today and for those in Scotland I hope the worst of the weather has passed over. It is a lovely day here today, I am currently sat out on the patio, unheard of for October. We have been out for a walk on the beach/seafront this morning with the dogs and called for breakfast at one of our favourite cafes, got eggs Benedict and eggs florentine plus a sausage for the dogs. Just about to go collect my mum as she is coming for tea. Have a nice afternoon everyone Michelle
