No this has nothing to do with the D+ drinks. We've always got free coffee in the Diamond Lounge, but this TA had 700, about 1/3rd of the ship being Diamond or Diamond Plus, so they opened up the coffee shop to the Diamond Members.. They had also done this on my previous TA on the Harmony of the Seas the previous Nov 2021. I hope the same happens on the Oasis of the Seas on the TA in April, 2024.

I bought a card for a TA on the Brilliance of the Seas in November before the cruise. I never got a card, but apparently it was on my card. We are Diamond Plus and when we went to the Diamond Lounge they told us that we could get free coffee at the coffee shop, so they issued me credit for the card. I hope the same happens on our next TA on the Oasis of the Seas.

How many punches are on the card?

Maybe they just needed some repair to the Hull or something very minor! No refurbishment done in 2021!

I have looked at NCL's Website and NCL Sun shows Refurbished in 2021, but the only refurbishment I could find was 2018. Does anybody know where a 2021 Refurbishment happened or not? Thanks for your input!

Never had a problem using Stock OBC on Royal & Celebrity before the cruise. We take two TA's coming and going from Europe every year getting back to Thailand. The flight from Europe is 10 hours and nonstop, but 30 hours from Tampa and two stops. Much more relaxing cruising on the TA's.

I agree 100%. I don't cruise NCL much, but they are not cruiser friendly.

You must not be an active cruiser because you always get better offers booking before the cruise. It's not costing me anything to book now and I'm saving about 35% on my internet package. I've done this for most of our 110+ cruises. To my knowledge, NCL is the only cruise company who won't let you use your OBC on before cruise purchases to SAVE MONEY! Also, Coffee Package is $31.00 for the whole cruise 14 nights. I believe Starbucks is $250 or something like that on our 20 night NCL Sun.

I just booked WIFI and a Coffee Card on Oasis of the Seas with my STOCK OBC. Royal knows how to treat their guests. NCL has allot to learn about good customer relations.

If you buy the Specialty Dinners before you cruise. you save 30-40%. After you board you pay allot more, but yes at that point you can use your OBC for restaurants and food, coffee, ect, but you pay more.

We didn't really want to buy 2 more specialty dinners but since our $250 stock OBC couldn't be used for gratuities and we don't buy much on the ship, we were going to spend on the dinners with the OBC, but apparently NCL won't let you. I guess we'll be stocking up on liquor to use up the non-refundable OBC. NCL is not cruiser friendly when it comes to OBC!

Yes you can! In November we were on the Brilliant of the Seas T/A and my Stock OBC $250 was on my account and I purchased WIFI and Chops Grill for Lunch. Also Stock OBC can be used for Gratuities. NCL not cruiser friendly.

Wow! NCL is really difficult and the use of OBC is regulated in NCL's favor and not the cruiser. I'm use to dealing with Celebrity and Royal, which is our favorite cruise lines. I was 50/50 in needing additional specialty dining, so NCL made my decision easier. I don't need anymore!

I went into My Cruise to purchase additional dining package using my STOCK OBC $250, but they want me to enter a credit card. I want to use OBC since it's Non-Refundable on board. How do I make the purchase using the OBC and avoiding the credit card request? Thanks

If you feel comfortable in a T-Shirt with the Captain no problem. In our 110+ cruises, I don't believe we have ever worn a T-Shirts, but we want to feel comfortable! Enjoy your cruise!
