We sailed the 20-27 in the haven and had a fabulous time. The weather was great and only had a little bit of rain in Icy strait point. We didn't need heavy clothes or our rain ponchos. The staff was unbeleivable. The food was great and we ate way to much. We walked alot. Alaska Fudge in Junuea is terrific. Got the chocolate with peanut butter in between and wish we would of gotten more of it, got some donuts at Jellyfish donuts in Ketichan and they were the best. We hope to get back to Alaska again in the future.

Tomorrow isn't promised is so true. My sisters bucket list was to go to Alaska. So last year we booked an Alaskan cruise in the Haven. Last month took an awful turn and my sister passed away. So now we are taking her ashes to Alaska with us. If you want to do something do it, you never know what will happen.

Leaving in 10 days, do I really need to take bug spray for our excursions like to Mendenhall Glacier?

I was thinking of doing the horse drawn trolley. Has anyone ever done this before?

Can someone please tell me what time the kiosks open? We get in at 7 AM and was wondering if they are open then?

Sailing out of Seattle for Alaska in a few weeks. Were is the best spot to watch sail away? We have a aft cabin in the Haven.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Not sure what we are going to do cause the doctor who did the surgery is an hour away and she won't be seeing him again. Her doctor is not affiliated with the hospital anymore, what a mess. So there is no doctor to fill out the paperwork. We are kinda just plaining it by ear and hoping for the best outcome.

We are suppose to go to Alaska in May, everything booked and paid for. My sister is going in for emergency surgery tomorrow and to cancel our penalty is $12,100. We do have travel insurance. Can anyone tell me how well the insurance works and does it cover this? I was hoping they would just let us change to the cruise to a different date.

What about cruises to Alaska? Can we use are cell phones there? If so how is the service?

Sailed NCL many times but going to be 1st time Haven in May. Have read this whole thread and made lots of notes. Thank you to all. Can anyone tell me about the Seattle terminal and the Haven area? I thought I read somewhere that there were steps there. Going with my son and sister and she has some mobility issues and want to plan ahead for this if there are to many steps. We are so looking forward to being in the Haven on the Bliss. This will be the biggest ship we will be sailing on. Can't wait Alaska on the Bliss.

We are going to Alaska in May. We need to be at the airport for a 5:45 flight. Staying in Lake Union. Does Uber run at like 3 AM, or do we need to take a taxi?

Can someone please explain to me about how the app works on board? I've been looking for this info and can't seem to find it. Do I have to purchase the internet package to use the app on board. If I don't purchase a package would I be able to make reservations or check my account while on board?

Wanting to do the zipline and was wondering how your get to it? Do you have to walk up the lighthouse to get to it?

We are going to be on the Pearl in February and the Bliss in May. Can anyone please tell me what coke products are on the ship? Not a coke fan but will deal with it for our cruise.

Is the bear one a far walk from the ship. We are going next May and sometimes my sister has some health issues and don't want to make her walk any farther than I have to.

We are going to Alaska next year on the Bliss in a Haven suite. We have been several NCL cruises but mainly they have been charter cruises, this will be our first haven cabin. What is the dress code like for the Haven restaurant? I know NCL is casual but it's been over 8 years since we have been on a regular NCL cruise. Charter cruises are so different so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What about the Holiday Inn? I have points for an IHG brand hotel and looking to stay there. Would the one downtown be good or maybe one by the airport?
