  1. My Sea Rover status badge has disappeared from my profile and I can't seem to get my Deep Blue Extras added to my Apr cruise. Virgin acknowledges the loyalty problem is in flux. The Deep Blue Extras perk is the coin flip when making my decisions to pull the trigger and book and I will cancel my Apr cruise if this doesn't get resolved by the '45 days out' cutoff.
  2. I agree with Virgin's funky computer system. I booked a cruise for April (my 5th in 3 months) and discovered my Sea Rover status and Deep Blue Extras were not attached to this booking. After spending 60-plus minutes with a chat rep, she couldn't find my Sea Rover status listed at all. She saw my status in a previous booking and said she was manually entering my Deep Blue Extras into this new booking (or at least I think she got in manually entered). When I log into Virgin's website to manage my 3 current books, my Sailor Add-ons on all three bookings change several times during the course of a day. I can only hope my Sea Rover status and Add-ons make their way to the ship.
  3. My cruise is in 5 days and as of this morning, the app is now showing one Dual Reality performance on day 3 at 6:30 (yeah). NSA is not listed at all.
  4. The spark-aws website has just now caught up with the Virgin app. This morning spark-aws showed NSA on Feb 8th and Dual Reality on Friday and Saturday. Both shows are gone from the website. This is a major bummer because I booked this cruise to see these shows 😞 Maybe Virgin is reading these posts.... are you listening Virgin??
  5. cantgetin may be onto something suggesting Brightline as an option. Recenlty I researched Brightline as a way a avoid the dreaded drive in and out of Miami experience and it didn't work out for me but, as a one way Port of Miami to FLL, it may be a good option to consider. The Miami Brightline station is very close to the Port of Miami and also close to FLL. Here is a link to see sample schedules and prices. Do the first class option! I'm not recommending Brightline as I've never used it but it could be in your range of options. One way private shuttle is about $100. https://www.gobrightline.com/booking?&routes[0][from]=EKW&routes[0][to]=FBT&routes[0][date]=2023-02-19&passengers[0][code]=ADT&passengers[0][count]=1&passengers[1][code]=CHD&passengers[1][count]=0&passengers[2][code]=INF&passengers[2][count]=0&lowestFare=false&promoCode=&currency=USD&isMultiCity=false
  6. This spark website is spot on with the events listed on the app (once you inter the correct year). https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2023-02-08#events With that said, no NSA on my cruise next week and only one Dual Reality show. It is what it is. Thanks all
  7. I did a CHAT session today regarding my Deep Blue extras and brought this up. She didn't have a clue what the website's reference to: use the app to activate "the Band" meant. There's no there there :)
  8. I went to the spark website mentioned above and NSA is listed. It also shows 2 showings of Dual Reality during my cruise where the Virgin app is only showing one night (and on different nights than the app shows). It will be interesting to see if the spark site is more accurate than the app at 6 days out. Will reply when I get on board. https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2022-02-10#events Thanks everyone
  9. My screenshot was meant to show Hearbeat was the Last Event of the day. Nothing comes after on the app. NSA wasn't listed as part of the lineup on night 2 or any other night for that matter. Still hoping it shows up.
  10. I just received my latest email about my upcoming cruise next week. The link provided in the email merely pointed me to their webpage instructing me to 'download the app'...duh. But curiously it stated I could use the app to activate "the Band". Is this possible and are they referring to a Band from a previous cruise?? I've attached a screenshot from Virgin's webpage:
  11. OMG I’m praying this is accurate. NSA is not currently listed as an option on my Virgin app. Nothing is listed past 11:15 pm
  12. I'm on the Feb. 8th sailing - and it's not on my app either. I'll check with guest services as soon as I board to see if it's just on a break or gone for good. God I hope not.
  13. Depends on what day you're disembarking (weekday or weekend) and how many cruise ships are arriving. I lived in north Miami and worked near the airport for 5 or so years. With that said, MIA is 8.3 miles from Terminal V, and on a Sunday that would be 15-20 minutes. But it is Miami and it would be much much longer on a weekday. Try using google maps or Apple maps and plug in "Terminal V to MIA" on a day similar to the day you're arriving (say Tuesday). Plug in "9:30 am" which is a reasonable time to be off the ship and standing in the taxi line. Either google or apple maps will give you a sense of how long it's taking on that day. I always booked 1 pm or later flights but almost missed a 5 PM flight out of Ft. Lauderdale once. I recommend grabbing brunch at the Wake before you head for the airport too. Good luck
  14. I sailed twice this month and just came off last Sunday. The coffee price is almost always $4 and my charges showed up in my wallet the same day I purchased the coffee. They mysteriously disappeared the next day. I drank 2-3 a day and my bar loot picked up the extra $2. It's great 🙂
  15. NSA was on my sailing last week but, sadly, it's on my list of shows for my sailing next week. There were 2 shows on my 4-day cruise last week and I saw it once. Had I known it was going bye-bye, I would have booked the second show too. I was REALLY good and, along with Dual Reality, the highlight of my cruise. I got a golden condom (those who know the show will know what it is...)
  16. If your friend enjoys traveling solo on Carnival and Princess, he should love Virgin. I travel solo and enjoy Virgin's unstructured venues friendly vibe of the passengers and especially the crew. Friendly not stuffy... 🙂
  17. I carried all of my bags off of the ship in Miami last week and was through immigration and in the parking lot at 8 AM. With that said, and after 50+ cruises, this was the exception. Virgin is the best for getting off us passengers off the ship (all be it we only had 800 passengers on our ship that week). I had a 5 PM flight out of FLL after a Seabourn cruise and barely make the flight. This was an extreme situation because the ship was 8 hours late arriving into Ft. Lauderdale due to a medical emergency. We also 'almost' missed our 5:45 pm flight out of Saint Maarten because the airport only had one TSA screening machine line open. We stood in line for 7 hours to get through screening. 2000 passengers, one screening station. 😞 Poop happens Stress free and happy travels
  18. My app started offering reservation dates and times yesterday 🙂 Thanks for all
  19. Nothing like lively parties and a free $600 bar tab to challenge a person.
  20. These are Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for recovering alcoholics. Please come if you're in recovery. See you there.
  21. I'm booked in a Rockstar suite and am 58 days out from departure. My app is not presenting me with reservation times or options to book at any of the restaurants but does displays the words NO BOOKING NEEDED. Anyone have ideas or is this a hurry up and call Virgin? Thank you all....
  22. This is good information to have tacocat. I was on the Valiant Lady this month and to thought the shops were bare and lacking. I'm on the Scarlet Lady in Feb. so I'm looking forward to more ways to spend my Sailor Loot 🙂
  23. Shake for Champagne replaced with the extra $100 bar credit "confirmed" on my January 4th cruise. It's a good thing if one doesn't want to spend $100 on a bottle of Moet and it's a wash if one does. I don't drink alcohol so in my case, it's 25 extra speciality coffees for me 🙂
  24. I didn't notice our access to the "Rockstar Agent on Board" perk before. Good to know. Where is this Rockstar Agent located on board??
  25. I was recently on the Scarlet Lady and the only electronics I saw for sale on board was a high end pair of over the ear headphones (price unknown). My friends call me Mr. Gadget and I would have been all over an electronics store but atlas there were none. I was looking forward to to buying copious amounts of Virgin Logo hats, shirts and jackets but the Virgin Brand store was very small and lacked variety. I ended up with a red sweatshirt and back polo shirt. Here is a link with a list of the onboard shopping :https://ajourneywelove.com/virgin-voyages-shopping/#Virgin_Voyages_Shopping_Optionsnbsp Hope this helps.
