  1. to groudloop (OP) - follow the above link provided by CineGraphic to apply. You have a good chance of getting the status match nothing to loose.
  2. I stand corrected. You are correct. I read Key West was stopping cruise ships again but after further reading I discovered it was a news article from last summer.
  3. They book up fast! My cruise only had 800 people and Squid Ink has the busiest place on the ship - for sure 😉 (the gifts shops were dead)
  4. Just back from Key West 4 day trip. BJ was $10, paying 3/2. It's a good game as played. There was one table spreading single deck at 6/5. I wanted to see how many cards were dealt between shuffles but elected to loose all of my money at the 3/2 multideck table. FYI continuous shuffler used.
  5. We're on the last Key West sailing for the season. March 22 - 26. I just got back from this same trip and loved it. Four days, Virgin, Key West = Perfect. Share the loot link if anyone is booking for the last Key West extravagance: https://virg.in/JXSy See everyone on board 🙂
  6. I just boarded in Miami a week ago and the order was: Romance Package and we Sea Rovers were allowed to enter the Terminal first and directed to a very nice waiting area on the second floor until the ship was ready to board. We all were already pre-checked in. The Rock Star suite guests enter security screening area from another door behind a glass wall. Once they entered security screening, the Romance Package guest were called and then the us Sea Rovers third. This was all happening before the first check in line (1:30 line) even entered the terminal. As a Sea Rover, I was through security and in my room in 15 minutes. The Rock Star Suite passengers where ahead of us. This was Miami....
  7. I did ask the question: being long pants. The answer is definitely YES. im wearing them every night 😀
  8. Some updates: Deep Blue Extras no longer offering shake for champagne but replaced with $100 bar credit. I arrived at the port of Miami at 12:30 to find Virgin staff outside offering us our Sea Rover wristbands. I was then invited to enter the lower floor of the terminal where 5 temporary tables were set up to check me in and given my wrist fob. I was told I could mill around outside the entrance to be first to go upstairs. I didn’t have to go in the 1:30 line. At 1:15 Sea Rovers and romantic package cruisers were allowed to go up the escalator to another waiting area. Fifteen minutes later we watched the rock Star passengers funnel through a private entrance. We were then allowed to security screening- first romance package sailors then Sea Rovers. Through screening and into my room in 15 minutes. As an FYI: DO Not miss Dual Reality show. I will take this cruise again just to see it again. The best cruise show experience I’ve had in nearly 50 cruises.
  9. My cruise next week does have Deep Blue Extras but my Feb. cruise is not showing this perk yet so I'm hoping it's a TBD at this time. I'll ask on board next week and advise.
  10. Yes that really helps! I want to take advantage of the current year end online specials but because I haven’t been on Virgin yet I really want to test drive it. Im so over all the other traditional cruise products and am hoping Virgin is as different as it sounds. thanks again
  11. Has anyone booked future cruises ‘on board’ and if so did you get better deals than the specials offered online?
  12. I sent over 250 days on Seabourn (pre-Covid) which is famous for their customer service. But, with that said, Virgin is smoking them with their extremely high level of customer service and communication. I’m so excited to experience my first Virgin cruise next week. Yes, I’m a Virgin Virgin.
  13. The lot will be open for sure. I have the same embarkation timeslot, so I’ll be interested to see the answers you get on this post.
  14. Excellent suggestion. Thanks 🙂
  15. I just read the FAQs which said multi plug power cords are prohibited so I'm bringing my 110 and 220 chargers. Sometimes it's the 'where are the outlets located' question. The only 110 plug on Seabourn was near the floor under a table. Very awkward to get on all fours to plug in ones iPhone.
  16. I've taken dozens of cruises out of Miami and or Ft. Lauderdale and just give em $5 per bag tip. It's cheaper than a Starbucks coffee and I don't want worry about my bags and start to enjoy my cruise as soon as possible. As an FYI these porters do essentially work for tips in Miami and most ports. Remember the old days where airport porters would take your bags out of the trunk, tag em and put em on the belt??? Back then it was a buck a bag. As the age old saying goes: "The cruise starts when your bags are in the cabin and the life boat drill is OVER" :)
  17. I'm betting you will be able to walk off anytime if you have all of your luggage in tow. Seabourn for example had no hard and fast rules to when you could disembark BUT, access to our luggage was arranged by "group" and access to it was barred until our group number was called (and most or all of the luggage the previous group was gone). This 'luggage access' was enforced by the port of Miami personal. And this was a ship with less than 300 passengers.
  18. I found the option to schedule my disembarkation time slot on the app under shore things for Miami on the last day after cangetin pointed it out. Score...:) With that said, I just received my email from Virgin informing me dining reservations are now available for my Feb. 8th sailing. But the disembarkation schedule option is not yet offered. I find it a bit odd but it is what it is :) I'm 8 days out and super pumped.... Anyone else on the Key West voyage next week??
  19. Brilliant-thank you. I looked there several times but didn’t scroll down far enough to see this.
  20. I just received my ‘get ready to cruise’ email and Virgin says I can and should book my disembarkation slot via the app before I get to the port. Has anyone been able to find this option in the app?? “What to book before you get to the port Below is a list of things you need or can book before you get on board: We’ll need you to book your disembarkation slot so that we can all get off the ship in a spaced-out fashion. You can do so on the Sailor App”
  21. Excellent info cantgetin - thank you. And as expected 🙂 As a former Apple employee I know the importance of using only MFI certified chargers and cables to maximize the health and battery life of my iPhone and iPad so I always bring my own chargers, which also means 'more outlets required'. How many AC outlets does one need? Answer: "More" 🙂
  22. How many AC outlets are in the Cabins/Rooms and are they 110 volt or 220 volt or both? I'm in a "inside - solo" cabin. I'm asking because Seabourn ships on have one 110 volt outlet (3 - 220 volt outlets). Thanks fellow sailors :)
  23. I have 2 cruises book in the next 2 months. My 'sailor loot and add-ons' show up for my first cruise when I login via the website login as: Add-ons: Enjoy these onboard this voyage (but not in the app). No such link is showing up on my second reservation, BUT, I have the email confirmation for this second booking showing all the extras. I printed the confirmation email for the second in case the add-ons get dropped from the system. Based on catgetin's post, I'm surely going to call Sailor Support a week out of my second cruise if it doesn't link up.
