  1. Carolyn, that cracked me up! 🤣 She has her eyes on a mall that is right next door to our hotel. I just hope we don't need to buy another suitcase! It won't be the first time!!!
  2. @c-boy Tom, this post is especially for you mi amigo! Our Concierge recommended the "Fish at the Rocks" for dinner. It's not too far away from 6 Head. It was outstanding! We shared a grilled octopus appetizer. Debbie had the Seafood Spaghettini and I had the Whole Baked Barramundi accompanied by a really nice Shiraz. The owner was our server and provided great service. It is not a tourist destination, mostly locals. We made a reservation for Sunday night for a chance to try some of the other specialties. They have several nightly specials not on the menu. Btw, it rained on and off all day long.
  3. Yes, we have indoor plans for tomorrow. All the forecasts show lots of rain. A good day for R&R!
  4. We have arrived! The service and food on the flight was outstanding. And we both were able to get a few hours of sleep, a rarity for us. The Passport Control is all automated and took us all of 5 minutes. Our bags came out quickly and we exited Customs via the "Nothing to Declare" door. From the time we exited the plane and exited Customs was 20 minutes max! Our Blacklane driver was waiting for us just outside Customs (he had texted us as soon as we landed) and we were off to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 9:30 and were praying for an early check-in. Bingo, our room was ready! Now, unpacking before we go for a stroll and lunch. Btw, the weather is very overcast and about 70° F. Our room has a nice view of the Opera House. Bottle of Shiraz waiting for us! Bathroom has separate tub and shower.
  5. The Saks Fifth Avenue pillows, comforter, blanket and fully flat bed did help! And the slippers were nice too!
  6. The inflight dinner was pretty good! We had the Lemon zest prawn confit appetizer, Sautéed Cajin Shrimp with jasmine rice and tomato fondue. Also, Mesclun leafy greens with balsamic dressing. This was accompanied by a 2021 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz. And the kicker was a Tillamook Vanilla Bean sundae with hot fudge and nuts! Where is the Elliptical machine!!! Now it's time to sleep it off!!!
  7. Our trip has officially started!!! We are checked in at LAX and we are ensconced in the United Polaris Lounge. The Lounge has moved and has been updated since the last time we flew United. It is spacious, modern and has lots of amenities, including a sit-down dining room (menu below). The bar is fully stocked and has a very nice wine selection. We are enjoying the Prisoner blend and watching the Warrior basketball game. And, the Lounge is almost empty!
  8. The policy is fleet wide on all Princess ships. You use your Medallion to charge to your shipboard account. At the tables, you can purchase chips with cash.
  9. This issue has been discussed here ad nauseam. Below is a link to one of the threads...
  10. Same here, we have not had an issue with the tub/shower combo. We love the larger bathroom space and the tub/shower!
  11. Thank you! You guys have a great cruise and enjoy the Sanctuary! We'll be jealous with no Sanctuary! 😒
  12. I've never seen it to be free. In bad weather they close down the area.
  13. Travel day has arrived! I usually sleep until 7:00 am, but the anticipation woke me at 4:30 am! We are checked into our 10:40 pm flight and are mostly packed. Now, the big wait for our 7:00 pm pick-up and ride to LAX!
  14. Omelets at the suite breakfast venue (on some ships they are at the Crown Grill) are sweet!!!
  15. We are "Sanctuary Aficionados" but at those prices we will skip the Sanctuary on the Sun Princess! We do not sail on the Sun until October of 2025, maybe prices will be adjusted to a more reasonable number by then? 🤷‍♂️
  16. @jagoffee So, does Princess designate certain loungers for “complete cruise booking”? No, they have all been available for 1/2 or full individual days or for a "complete cruise." If I am doing a B2B can I book the second cruise on the first day of the first cruise? Yes. We have done this many times.
  17. We definitely enjoy and frequent the specialty restaurants too! 🙂
  18. It is not loud or chaotic in the Reserve Collection section of the dining room. It is actually quite the opposite. We really enjoy dinner and the changing menus in this section, especially on our long voyages.
  19. I concur. For our voyages of 30+ days that would not be feasible.
