  1. The Saks Fifth Avenue pillows, comforter, blanket and fully flat bed did help! And the slippers were nice too!
  2. The inflight dinner was pretty good! We had the Lemon zest prawn confit appetizer, Sautéed Cajin Shrimp with jasmine rice and tomato fondue. Also, Mesclun leafy greens with balsamic dressing. This was accompanied by a 2021 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz. And the kicker was a Tillamook Vanilla Bean sundae with hot fudge and nuts! Where is the Elliptical machine!!! Now it's time to sleep it off!!!
  3. Our trip has officially started!!! We are checked in at LAX and we are ensconced in the United Polaris Lounge. The Lounge has moved and has been updated since the last time we flew United. It is spacious, modern and has lots of amenities, including a sit-down dining room (menu below). The bar is fully stocked and has a very nice wine selection. We are enjoying the Prisoner blend and watching the Warrior basketball game. And, the Lounge is almost empty!
  4. The policy is fleet wide on all Princess ships. You use your Medallion to charge to your shipboard account. At the tables, you can purchase chips with cash.
  5. This issue has been discussed here ad nauseam. Below is a link to one of the threads...
  6. Same here, we have not had an issue with the tub/shower combo. We love the larger bathroom space and the tub/shower!
  7. Thank you! You guys have a great cruise and enjoy the Sanctuary! We'll be jealous with no Sanctuary! 😒
  8. I've never seen it to be free. In bad weather they close down the area.
  9. Travel day has arrived! I usually sleep until 7:00 am, but the anticipation woke me at 4:30 am! We are checked into our 10:40 pm flight and are mostly packed. Now, the big wait for our 7:00 pm pick-up and ride to LAX!
  10. Omelets at the suite breakfast venue (on some ships they are at the Crown Grill) are sweet!!!
  11. We are "Sanctuary Aficionados" but at those prices we will skip the Sanctuary on the Sun Princess! We do not sail on the Sun until October of 2025, maybe prices will be adjusted to a more reasonable number by then? 🤷‍♂️
  12. @jagoffee So, does Princess designate certain loungers for “complete cruise booking”? No, they have all been available for 1/2 or full individual days or for a "complete cruise." If I am doing a B2B can I book the second cruise on the first day of the first cruise? Yes. We have done this many times.
  13. We definitely enjoy and frequent the specialty restaurants too! 🙂
  14. It is not loud or chaotic in the Reserve Collection section of the dining room. It is actually quite the opposite. We really enjoy dinner and the changing menus in this section, especially on our long voyages.
  15. I concur. For our voyages of 30+ days that would not be feasible.
  16. That would certainly be very annoying. You were too nice, I would have called the Sanctuary Supervisor to deal with it.
  17. @greenbeanie No kids? No, not allowed Is it necessary to book the sanctuary to access the pool? (not the main pools, I can't recall the name of the more quiet pool, but this one.) No There are TVs in the cabanas - does the TV noise carry? And does general noise in the cabanas travel out to nearby areasl? The Cabanas come with Bose headsets to listen to the TV. The Cabanas are very quiet, as is the entire Sanctuary venue.
  18. The Sanctuary is one of our favorite venues on Princess ships. You must book your loungers in person at the Sanctuary. Rush there as soon as you board the ship. Depending on the itinerary, it can book-up very fast. You can book full or half days for the entire length of your voyage. Enjoy!
  19. Ships are now sailing at full or close to full capacity. No need to discount them when they are selling at non-discounted prices.
  20. We didn't but we will now! Thank you for the recommendation! Btw, we bred two species of Kakariki's. 🦜
