Good Morning From the Beach in Ft Lauderdale! We have checked into the Marriott for the day. It’s a cloudy day with rain expected later today. No worries, we didn’t want to deal with the airport with 5 ships in. 🙄 A little recap of yesterday, We spent the day after, Barbie organized the 7 weeks of clothes, in the Grand Foyer watching people try to put a plane through a hula hoop! 😂 Of course there were mimosas involved. Watched people move around 8 stations of wine for a wine tasting at Cellar Masters. Then headed to Oceanview for some pizza. Crazy day, right? Then of course we had to say good-bye to the Martini Bar before dinner. While we were sipping our martinis Rich and Marc were filming the morning show. Then off to Tuscan, where I will say they did a good job for our final night. Then the Caribbean Sky gave us one of the best good-byes ever! As we disembarked this morning we were ready to walk off when they stopped everyone. A lady had fallen and an ambulance was called. 😩 We were held until she was attended to and was taken away. 🙏🏻 This has been enjoyable reporting on our winter escape. I never thought I could post for 47 days! 😓 I know it wasn’t spell bounding, not a lot of excursions but just the life of two retirees sailing the ocean. I have appreciated all of your comments and acknowledgements. When we return home I’ll give a final thought of the travels. Good Morning from Sea on our last day! Boy this all started January 30th! It was St Patrick’s Day and the ship really didn’t do anything for it but some decorations. Last year on Silhouette there was a huge Grand Foyer party. Hats and beads were handed out with fantastic music. We went up to the Sunset Bar where just a few minutes after arriving the sky’s opened up. We spent the afternoon having a lovely conversation with Chris and Lisa. Learning that our two countries have a lot of the same problems and challenges. The usual evening starting at the Martini Bar then the Lawn Club for dinner. While dining we set sail for Ft Lauderdale. We made the show last night. They flew this entertainer in for one night. She did put on a good show. We moved the clocks forward before retiring. While posting this we had a fellow cruise ship pass by. Off to enjoy our last day! Cheers!

Good Morning from Cozumel! We docked at 10 AM Happy St Patrick’s Day….Cheers! Great sail away yesterday from Grand Cayman! Fantastic Music, this duo “Malenna Duo”are very very good! We have enjoyed their music the last two weeks. Ok going to share this and hope Cayman Authorities aren’t following. 🙄 As has been shared by many when on Grand Cayman only one bar is open (that is the way it was on Beyond) but not the way it was yesterday. We were sitting at the pool bar ( because the paper said it would be the only bar open) and went up to the mast grill for a hot dog. The mast bar was making drinks.🤔 After our hot dog we decided to go and sit at the Sunset Bar. On the way there we ran into Chris (the guy I met last week) and he had a beer coming out of the Martini bar. I asked where he got the beer and he said the Martini Bar. 🤔 We arrived at the Sunset Bar and drinks were being made. I said you’re open? The bartender with quotes says “we’re closed”. Ok what gives, because of the drink packages they were taking your cabin number and not punching the drinks into the computer. 😳 if you were paying for the drink you went to the pool bar. Very creative! Dinner was at Murano, very disappointing. Food took over an hour to be delivered. The kitchen must of been short handed, but the other nights we ate there it went very well. Barbie asked for medium well and the steak came out medium rare. They reheated and it was well done. I tried to Lamb, which was good. Off to the show where the comedian and magician did a tag team show. Really liked the magician. Tomorrow our final full day! Cheers!

Finally made it out of the cabin and since we are in Grand Cayman pool bar only bar open for a mimosa. Gives us a new view…. Joe from the Martini Bar, now the World Class bar and bartender at the music/mixology event ( very busy guy) and I were talking. He mentioned that next week they are expecting 3,500 passengers! As I shared we are at capacity which Joe says is 3,200. We are out of here! 😂 Cheers!

Good Morning from Grand Cayman! Opened the curtains and next to us was the Explorer of the Seas! We sailed her 4 years ago in the South Pacific. I should say good early morning. We were woken up at 6 AM with a 3 year old running and jumping in the cabin next door. Barbie went out on the balcony where a lady on the other side of us was on her balcony trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Then on the other balcony was a father of the 3 year old. Barbie asked about the child and his response was “that’s my 3 year old Ralph I can’t do anything about it”, Really? I spoke to our cabin Stewart and his supervisor is going to address it. Yesterday afternoon we attended the music mixology event. Was identical to last week, it needs a little tweaking. Then off to the Martini Bar before dinner Dinner was once again at the Lawn Club. I had that big burger I posted a pic of. Was an early night so nothing to report. A bit cloudy with a chance of rain today. Off to the fitness center! Cheers!

An afternoon update…..it starts with, Yes a rainy day, but our first since we left. We had nothing planned anyway. A few pics of what we have… A returning excursion! 😩 So we went to Oceanview and had what you would have when in Jamaica….jerk chicken meat pie. before lunch we did really what you do while in Jamaica, we went to the movies to watch Cool Runnings! The story of the Jamaican Bobsled Team! 😂😂 It was put out by Disney and I have to say I really enjoyed it. Oh, we learned during Rich’s morning show that this dock is known as the James Bond dock because this warehouse was used in a James Bond movie. He ran across the top of it. 4:00 trivia coming up in the Sky Lounge where we have been playing cards. Cheers!

Good Morning from Ocho Rios! Yesterday afternoon we went out to watch the sun set. People gathered on deck 5 balcony with cameras. As I walked out on the balcony the sun was setting over Cuba. A gentleman turned to me and said we should stop for a mojito. He was from Cuba and as his picture was being taken with Cuba behind him he said “ I’ve been waiting 6 weeks to have this picture taken”. He reminded me of a friends father who came to the U S when Castro took control. He became very successful by owning many radio stations. 36 years ago he invited Barbie and me on a cruise with the family. It was our first cruise ever and that’s where we caught the cruising bug. We passed Cuba on that cruise and he too looked at the island in a desire to be able to go back. His sister still lived there. Later it was up to The Lawn Club Grill. Great night with again great service! Then off to the show which turned out to be very good. The Magic and comedy was really good. This lady walked in late and he asked what drink she had. A Mojito she replied, He took it and drank the whole thing. Cheers!

I’m going to start this afternoon update with…. I Won at Cards!!! 🎉👏😂 Today was the Captains appreciation reception. It was well attended but they held it at 11:45 AM . We picked up a new Captain in Nassau, Captain Matt. The event was nice, drinks no food service. Close to lunch and the Oceanview cafe run! Rich our Cruise Director The house band, thanks for getting up early! They are good! Bristol Fashion. Of course there was a mimosa or two The Senior officers reception is at 7:45 PM and it was that time last week. Weird time? We are having dinner. We learned at the event today that we are sailing at full capacity and Celebrity based on bookings are set to have its biggest year ever. Buy your stock! The top cruisers had 6,800+ points! 😳 Wow! We are just short of 1,000. I can’t imagine that number. Jim you know what it takes to get there. We spent the afternoon at the Sunset Bar. Thanks Oliver a fantastic server. Then went up to the Sky lounge for some trivia, not a seat to be found! 🙄 So sitting next to the Martini Bar and people watching. 👀 Tonight’s show is Bob Brizendine, magic and comedy. Dinner Lawn Club Grill. Clocks were turned back an hour last night. Moving them forward after Cozumel. Cheers!

Good Morning from a sea day! Yesterday was a busy departure from Nassau! I showed you Beyond but there were 4 other ships heading out. I thought this cloud formation with the sun was nice. We headed to the Martini Bar ( surprised) before dinner at Tuscan. Sunset from the Martini Bar On the way I noticed the entrance of Opus the MDR. If you are not in concierge class you waited here. If concierge you didn’t wait you entered here. ok Tuscan……..drum role……….It was a good experience. Service and food good! 😀 The food was timely and the sauce on my meat balls was good. 👍 👏👏 Thank you Tuscan! on the way back we walked through the entrance to Ensemble, the bell is broken! 😂 no ding as we walk through. We picked up our A.D’s at the Martini Bar and headed to the cabin, exciting right? more to come….. Cheers!

Good Morning from Nassau! This is getting repetitive, we were just here! 😂 Across from our cabin Morning Rush Hour! O looked this one up. It’s owned by a New York Attorney. It’s for sale for $62 million. 🤑 It was our last sail away from Ft Lauderdale for this year. Spent yesterday afternoon at the Sunset Bar. We were late leaving. look next to the tip bell and see who showed up. We started the evening at, well you know 🍸🍸. We got comments from the time we left our cabin to being at the Bar because we were a bit dressed up for our anniversary. Murano food and service was great. The vibe in the room not so good. I guess it’s first night sale on the cost so it was filled and loud. That’s all I’ll say about it. However our server was spot on and did a great job. Murano delivered a nice little cake to wish us the best. Back to the cabin to change, keep the wardrobe comments down, to go to the show. A comedian last night and well attended. All on board at 3:30. Guess I’ll lose at cards again today! 🙄😂 Cheers!

The transition this morning was very efficient and short! I think there were less than 80. Sitting at the Sunset Bar with mimosas! After dinner it was off to the casino to burn our $40 free play and the $80 OBC we had left over. Wheel of Fortune, Barbie likes. We lasted 45 minutes and then it was time, not by our choice the slot machine said it’s over! 🙄 to head back to Martini Bar for an Expresso Martini. Barbie had a chocolate Martini. On our walk up to the Sunset Bar today we had a fly over! Not Canadian Geese like we are use to. people will be boarding so just relaxing in the shade! Cheers!

Good Morning from Ft Lauderdale! The start of our last leg and entering our 7th week! Today we are also celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary!! Dinner in Murano! Yesterday we played Deal or no Deal again. Over between the two times we played we won $40 of slot play! 🙄 Before we went to Deal or No Deal we got our normal mimosas and sat in the Grand Foyer. We were looking at the red rose. We decided there needs to be a new game, you know how you guess the widget of the sculpture? We thought there should be a game where you guess what Celebrity paid for the rose. 🤔 While we were discussing this I was looking closely at the rose. If you look at the left side you will see something there.Look close to the reflection on it. I went down for a closer look and guess what I found? 😂😂😂😂🙄 After the game it was up to Sky Lounge for cards ( yes I lost again ) and to listen to the trivia. The activities person did an outstanding job! Getting people up to dance and lots of laughs! Down to the cabin to get ready for dinner and of course a stop at the Martini bar. Dinner was at Le Petit Chef. This was our 5th time over the years but we do enjoy it and the meal was great. Our waiter has been with Celebrity for 20 years and was outstanding. He agreed that he would like to see Qsine come back part time. He misses the interaction. more to come….. Cheers!

Good Morning from the last day at sea! Next stop Ft Lauderdale Was woken up this morning with a code star in Luminae. We are hoping all will be ok. 🙏🏻 Nothing happened during Deal or no Deal yesterday. Playing again today. 🤞 Pretty quiet yesterday afternoon. The ship was rocking and we had high winds so played cards in the Sky lounge, lost again! 🥲 They held music and general knowledge which we enjoyed. Headed to dinner and you know where we stopped on the way. 😂🍸 It was Tuscan Grille, well not good. It wasn’t the food this time it was the pace of the kitchen. The restaurant wasn’t any fuller than normal. We had a 7 PM reservation. From the time we ordered it was a half hour before our appetizers arrived and an hour for the main course. Very very slow. Ended the night in Ensemble to listen to Chloe and enjoy a 43. Fitness Center was this morning. While working out watched The Wonder sail along with us. more to come….. Cheers!

Afternoon update…. Getting ready for dinner. Wanted to share that on consecutive cruises this ship does not hold a meeting. The debarkation information is just left at your cabin. I never received a letter about a meeting and what to do on Sunday was at my cabin this morning. I went to guest relations to see if I missed the meeting and that’s where I learned there is no meeting, just that the info is left at your cabin. For first timers that must be a challenge, especially if you have to change cabins. on to dinner, but of course Martini Bar first! Cheers!
