Sorry Op….Have to say hi to a good friend Hi Wally! Ms. Barbies is doing great, we continue with retirement life! Happy to see you are trying Ascent, another great E class ship. We are looking forward to staying at the Centric, more activities around. Only sailing for a Month this winter, heading to Japan on the Millennium with Walt and Bev and 6 others. Not sure if I’ll do a live, two friends from England joining us for 3 weeks. Would like to hear your thoughts on Ascent when you return. I hear you on leaving out of Port Canaveral. We will have to sail out of there in the future. Good ships coming to that Port. Our best to Nancy! Cheers!

Joining in, Thank you for posting a live. We board Ascent on February 11th for 7 days before Beyond for 21! We have sailed all Edge class ships and love them. I’m one of those crazy people who like the IV. We sailed S1 SS on Edge the first time. Great experience. Cheers!

Very much enjoying your thread and all you are sharing, thank you for taking the time. I have done a 48 day live and know it takes time but with your schedule it is even more of a chore but I am sure an enjoyment. The night skies must be amazing. I remember being on the Big Island in Hawaii back in the day and looking up to the sky, breath taking. I read somewhere on CC threads that there is an APP ( of course there is an APP for everything) that you point to the sky and it tells you what you are looking at. One that gets high reviews is Star Tracker Lite-Live Sky Map. If anyone knows of others please share. Cheers!

We have done many B2B cruises. You will be instructed to place your items back in your suitcases and you may leave your hang up clothes on hangers. You eave your luggage in your cabin and on the turnaround day cabin Stewart’s will move everything to your new cabin. Now, I say leave your hang up items on hangers, however I’ve been following a traveler who is moving cabins and they have been told not to leave hangups on the hangers. That may be because there are 1,000+ staying on board. We always place everything back in the suitcases. It is very easy, when you get back onboard your new cabin will be available and you will have your items there waiting for you. Cheers!

I had the same thought when I saw his name, we had Giuseppe last winter but I mixed him up with one of my all time CDs Luigi! We will have Luigi on the Ascent this winter, was an amazing CD. Cheers!

Just catching up on this thread, We were on Apex enjoying the Rooftop Grill when the sky opened up with rain. All ran back to the kitchen area where in a while the maitre d took us down the inside stairs to not have to walk outside. If you get caught ask about the back passageway! Cheers!

Climbing on board! Love Silhouette, favorite of the S class ships. Have sailed her many times. AHHHHHH Retirement, it never gets old. I retired 7 years ago and never looked back! Thanks for the post, looking forward to the Beyond being back over in the Caribbean. We sail on her in February/March for 21 days. That’s after jumping off Ascent. 😀 Sailed on Beyond for a B2B last winter and the only issue I had was the bar service at the Sunset Bar. Very poor. We called the servers walking around swoopers! They would swoop your glass away and not ask if they could get you anything else. That’s when they showed up. 😩 I do love the Sunset Bar area! 🍸 Overall though we did enjoy the sail. Cheers!

Enjoying the post and comments about Mr. The man knows what he wants. This paying for priority is just another nickel and dime approach as airlines have done. Found out the Nickel and dime issue yesterday when upgrading to our IPhone 15s. They provide the charging cord with the phone but you have to buy the block to plug in the wall. All the old cables don’t work now so now you have to buy new cables for additional charging locations or car. 😩 @upwarduk we had priority tendering in Cayman last winter on X as Elite Plus. You mention they stopped this after COVID….🤔 Sail On! Cheers!

If you buy the all inclusive which provides basic internet and classic beverge when booking. Watch for offers for upgrades before you sail. I just upgraded from classic to premium for $9.99 PP per day. Some hit it for $6.99 PP per day. Onboard it can be $20 PP per day or as in the sample above $18.99 PP per day! That does not include taxes and gratuity. 🙄 🍸 Cheers!

This may have been said before, you will need to go the Captains Club on your next leg to get new cards with your Elite Plus status. We had a change from Elite to Elite Plus during our winter cruising last year and the system is not updated to reflect your points by the next cruise. We were told it takes up to 2 weeks. I know they can look up your points on line ( showing points prior to the cruise you just completed), however I took a screen shot of our points from the website and then went to Captains Club where they added the past cruise points and produced new cards for us. Cruise is going well so far, thanks again for sharing making me get excited for our winter cruising! Cheers!

If you are staying in Southampton try the Pig in the Wall B&B. Right by the port and it is a great place to stay. Cheers!
