Getting on board to follow. We board Ascent on Feb 11th. Looking forward to see what has changed or not from the other Edge ships. Which brother is Captain on this cruise? Any idea which brother will be on board in February? Thanks for posting! Cheers!

Any idea with future cruises what they offer if booked on board? Also, is the casino smoke free? I have read about the food on MSC not standing up to X but I have also read recently that the food on X has changed. I guess we will find out in February. 🤔 Cheers!

Jumping on board to see how the comparison comes out. We were having lunch yesterday with cruise friends and we were discussing the changes with X and wanting to try new ships. We are both Elite + and cruise exclusively X and RCCL. We have 28 days on a B2B2B2B on Ascent and Beyond this winter. May be the last for a while. 🤔 Thank you for sharing. Cheers!

Following! Have sailed Symphony twice. You made the right decision to sail in a suite. The ship can get over whelming with the crowds compared to X. At least you have a private deck area, lounge/ restaurant ( they are combined). We love Central Park and the trellis Bar! Dinner outside at night at Jamies is very nice with usually a solo guitar or violin player. Watch out for the $10 everything sales, where the Promenade because a mob scene! 😂 Cheers!

It didn’t keep us awake, and it wasn’t constant but regular. We sleep with a white noise machine so that may of helped. it wasn’t crazy just annoying at times. may of been addressed by now. Cheers!

That was a while ago and yes we did stay in this cabin. Not sure if it continues today but it was a constant flushing noise. in all my cruising I am more of an upper deck person. As said we got a deal on JS so we took it just for more space. There’s not much that comes with the JS cabin. Hope this helps Cheers!

Quick request if you have time, Would you ask what the cost on board is to upgrade from basic internet to premium? This would be for Elite Plus status. Right now it’s $4.99 per day for 1 device or $17.99 for 2 devices per day on the website. Would be looking at two devices. Thanks Cheers!

Embarkation day! Watched Apex sail in this morning. Glad we didn’t select Riverside ( it was under consideration) ended up with Hyatt Centric for pre cruise and then a night in between cruises. Have a great Boarding! Cheers! 🍸

I hope not to be your situation, but I did just read yesterday a couple who had a guarantee veranda cabin on Royal Caribbean in Australia. Showed up at the port and were not allowed to board, was told that they had no cabins available for their guarantee cabin. They said they could wait and see if someone doesn’t show up. After an hour and a half they left. They were given FCC for another cruise. There were a few others that were also turned away. Royal Caribbean overbooked Quantum of the Seas sailing from Australia Several guests weren't allowed to board a Royal Caribbean cruise because the ship was overbooked. One would-be traveler called it "one of the worst days" he'd recently experienced. Royal Caribbean has had a history of overbooking its mega cruise ships. First time I ever heard this happening. Was on Beyond last winter and a lady asked the BT at the Sunset Bar for a Blue Moon, she didn’t have a drink package and he said that it would be $11. She was shocked and said she should of bought the package since it was only day one. Not sure if she eventually bought the package. Sorry to see Tito’s go to premium, I was able to get a double each time I ordered it last winter with the premium package. Cheers!

We always get to Sunset Bar around 11AM for mimosas. Open into the night. Openings can vary based on ship schedule. They sometimes have solo or duets perform late afternoon. DJ can show up during the day also or night. Cheers!

Always use Uber from hotel to ship. A lot easier. Only thing is you want to have a driver that has been to the port. One time we had a driver who had never driven to the port and the guard at the gate had to educate him how to find the information she needed on his phone. Not a big deal, but was hoping he had what she needed. 🤞🏻 Cheers!

Waking up this morning East Coast time and what do I see……the start of the @Jim_Iain Adventure! 👏 Just 20 hours ago and we are already on page 4, I’m late to the party! 🙄 @Norwaylady gas gotten me this far and now @Jim_Iain takes me to December 21st! Loved our Australia/ New Zealand cruise in 2019. Loved Edge when we sailed her and can’t wait to Board Ascent February 11th! Sail on and have an outstanding Adventure! Cheers!

Sorry Op….Have to say hi to a good friend Hi Wally! Ms. Barbies is doing great, we continue with retirement life! Happy to see you are trying Ascent, another great E class ship. We are looking forward to staying at the Centric, more activities around. Only sailing for a Month this winter, heading to Japan on the Millennium with Walt and Bev and 6 others. Not sure if I’ll do a live, two friends from England joining us for 3 weeks. Would like to hear your thoughts on Ascent when you return. I hear you on leaving out of Port Canaveral.
