  1. Unfortunately, it's per cabin, not per person. Military Appreciation Offer Bonus Onboard Spending Money Limit: One (1) onboard spending money credit (“Offer”) per stateroom. Offer is only applicable for active and retired military service members.
  2. I believe if you have the package included in the fare, the child would have the unlimited soft drink option.
  3. Just saw this on one of my online sites and thought of all of us! The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.
  4. There is a light rail station at the airport (go through the parking garage). The train takes you to downtown Seattle.
  5. I've come to appreciate the system my aunt, who lived alone, had with her neighbors. If the window shade in the living room wasn't up by 10 am the neighbors would come knocking. Then one day the shade didn't go up. I'm so thankful she was found right away.
  6. For those of you who have cruises booked, I saved a total of almost $2000 today on 2 of the future cruises we have scheduled. Nice way to start the week!
  7. I just did a Google search and came up with several answers-I copied a couple of them. We will be needing a test on Sunday also so glad you asked the question. Hi, I just got back from Rome on Monday. My hotel near Piazza Navona found a pharmacy open on Sunday for the rapid test for USA at 246 Via del Corso, near Piazza Venizia. They open at 10:15 AM until 5 PM. Euro 22.00 and results in 25 minutes. Firenze, Italy 03/23/22 01:55 AM 1188 posts Pharmacies have weekly shifts so that one per district will be open on Sunday; but you should not assume all pharmacies will take covid tests - my guess is that in Florence only half of them do - so be careful to arrange the thing in advance, do not leave it to the last minute. Some private medical practices work on Sunday tests, but again arrange the thing in advance.
  8. Happy Wednesday everyone! I love making stuffed shells and found the easiest way to stuff the shells is with a pastry bag. I use a disposable one and can cut off the end large enough for the any filling I use to go through it.
  9. Oh dear-I think you owe your child bride an apology. In the paragraph where you described lunch you mentioned your "wide" Maria 😲. But thank you for the wonderful details of the cruise.
  10. @marshhawkWhen will you be in (at?) Grand Cayman? Would love to hear about the Gardens if you get there. Thanks.
  11. @marshhawkI read this on the Caribbean ports site: We just left Grand Cayman. I also only ever want a taxi to the beach, a chair to rent and a taxi back. T I got into a taxi heading towards 7 mile. The driver wasn't sure either if they would have chair rentals due to the holiday but said he would take me back to Coral Beach if Public was not renting chairs. Since I didn't want to spend my day in a taxi, I just jumped off with the others at Coral. BIG MISTAKE!!!! It is like being in someone's backyard. The lounging area is separated from the water because of a cement wall, has police like barricades that I assume are playing the role of a railing and you need to take stairs to get to the water from your lounge chair. I paid $5 admission and $10 for a chair. The kind waitress saw the look on my face and recommended the beach just next door. That was exactly what I was looking for. Problem was that I already paid and the lady in charge said there are no refunds (there was a sign reading No Refunds upon entering). BUT I met a couple on the "real beach" who was able to get their money back. I went back to Coral and said the resort was deceptive and I am on vacation. She finally gave in and was refunding all my money. I told her I'd still pay the admission (she let me know it included bathrooms, wifi and something else, I forget). I took the $10 next door to rent a chair at a real beach! It was through Salt Water Sports. They were very friendly and I had a great day. They do have wifi (formally Royal Palms) but no restaurant. I didn't want, need or use any of Coral's facility. My advice would be that if you don't mind walking (the walk can be on beach with splashes by the water) to pay the $5 admission to Coral so you could still get food, but pay for the chair at Salt. Best of both worlds, again if you don't mind walking. It's what we're planning on doing in December.
  12. @ger_77Gerry, that's ridiculous that you can't get the Paxlovid. Age is a consideration as well as medical conditions of which both apply. Wish I could send you some-even my niece was able to get some even though she's under 60 but considered "overweight" which she really isn't, not hugely beyond the average.
  13. I attended a memorial service yesterday for one of my quilting buddies. She was 95 and an amazing woman. This was on the back of the service sheet and impressed me. Sorry it's a bit long. Every minute someone leaves this world behind. We are all in "the line" without knowing it. We never know how many people are before us. We cannot move to the back of the line. We cannot step out of the line. We cannot avoid the line. So, while we wait in line- Make moments count. Make priorities. Make the time. Make your gifts known. Make a nobody feel like a somebody. Make your voice heard. Make the small things big. Make someone smile. Make the change. Make love. Make up. Make peace. Make sure to tell your people they are loved. Make sure to have no regrets. Make sure you are ready. ---Author unknown
  14. @marshhawkDid you ever let the Fizzy tablets dissolve on your tongue? 😜 @aliaschiefWould you mind sharing info on the Covid test in Amsterdam? Although I hope we won't need to worry about it by next May! Thanks.
  15. Tim, glad you're weather is so good. You missed 1 heck of a storm here yesterday. We had 1/2" of rain in about an hour and the thunder was LOUD. Very unusual Seattle summer weather.
  16. I reread the Nancy Drew book a couple of years ago-always fun.
  17. Just a bit late for International Cat Day-use Google.com and type in cat. When the page appears there will be a paw print which you click-then click again and again anywhere on the page. Cute activity. Have a great day everyone!
  18. @Cruising-alongYou might want to wait until Wednesday to make your jam. High temp. is predicted to be 73. Maybe even a bit of rain!
  19. @SargassoPirateYou need to add some Bailey's Irish Cream to your frozen mocha-yum.
  20. We stayed at the Hilton, located right next to the airport. A very easy walk to the check-in counter. In the past, they had a free shuttle into Rome that was very convenient.
  21. And thank you Tim for taking us along on another cruise. Off to Burien tomorrow so will wave and will remind them you'll be back 😊.
  22. I'm with you @Cruising-alongbeing jealous. Did you see Neil when he was in Seattle for 5 nights? My friend and I managed all 5 nights with seats in various sections of the arena. Front row one night which was amazing!!! And behind the band, 2nd level, which was a blast.
  23. First time I've tried to transfer a photo. Lovely arrangements at the market ready for the cabin. Not sure how to make it smaller. And now not sure if it will show up twice. Computers not my forte!
  24. If you snorkel, check out Patrick's tours. We loved the food trucks during the evening in Papeete and bought flowers for the cabin at the market.
