  1. Suite breakfast is in Sabatini’s. Don’t know about scones. We were in club class on the royal in 2019 and the club class dining room was a separate area from the main dining room. On the grand class ships it was just a section of the main dining room.
  2. It's not just Celebrity passengers that are having this issue. We are on the Discovery Princess 4/8 Coastal out of San Pedro. Monterey was cancelled and substituted with Santa Barbara. But then they also reversed the last two stops so now we go to Ensenada, then San Diego before coming back to San Pedro. So we will also have to do immigration in San Diego and I am sure you will in SF. The port of SF does have facial recognition so that may help.
  3. Was the balcony dinner served in courses by a waiter as in the past? Reason I ask is on some of the ships some people said the dinner courses were "dropped off" all at one one time to your cabin by a waiter and then he was gone.
  4. We are in a suite in April on the Discovery Princess and I was able to book the complimentary dinner in Crown Grill back in November. A few weeks ago I went back to book a paid dinner at Sabatini's and the app would not work correctly when I was going in on my Ipad and my log in. We have our onboard credit account set up with my husband as primary user and he as his own log in. When we went on his IPad and logged in it worked fine. Don't know if it will work for you but maybe worth a try.
  5. Thanks so much for clarifying the procedure. I did take a screen shot of the app reservation and will make a copy of my credit card statement with the charge. I always print the travel summary with the onboard services I have purchased and any OBC we have.
  6. Last week I went on the "app" and booked a reservation for Sabatini's for our Discovery cruise in April. The reservation shows up in the app, but Princess charged our credit card the $70 and no where is there any confirmation of payment. No email, nothing on the Personalizer, nothing I could find on the app to say it's been paid for. I also ordered a bottle water package and I received an email confirmation and it shows as being paid on the personalizer. It's been 3 years since we cruised but I thought Princess didn't charge until you had the dinner. I know HAL does charge at time of booking but you receive an email confirmation of payment. So if anyone can advise me of how this is supposed to work now, I would appreciate it.
  7. I had the same problem when I was looking at a Coastal Cruise on the Emerald for May 2023, but I was able to see suite prices on the Discovery for April 2023. We ultimately booked on the Discovery but never could see the prices for suites on the Emerald.
  8. Thanks for your response. Since there are about 5 courses to this dinner and there is no way they would all fit on the table at one time, where did they put them?
  9. As long as he keeps the TV volume down and doesn't snore no problem.
  10. The reason for booking this UBD is for our 50th anniversary, so yes I would want it to be a romantic dinner. We have booked for the evening we are in SF, which has special meaning as that is where we started our married life together. . I have spent the better part of the last 2 years mostly doing takeout or cooking/serving meals and I want a nice dinner with someone serving me a course at a time not all delivered at once and maybe lukewarm. The flowers and photo are nice but not worth it if the rest of the experience is as Oscar 13 explained.
  11. So if all the courses were delivered at once did the waiter stay to serve them or you just served yourself? We have done UBD twice and our experience is as mina stated. We have prebooked an UBD next year on the Discovery and if they are doing it like on the Grand I will cancel it. We will be in a suite and can order off the regular menu so why pay $100 just to have some flowers and a photo when I have to serve myself.
