  1. Just off the Allure - St Martin, San Juan & Labadee. I was traveling with my Family total of 13 people. Myself, Sister & BIL did this cruise rest of family did a B2B. It Was a wonderful cruise we were on the Allure back in 2014 so it did not take a long time to get the layout of the ship. We were all on deck 11, I was in 11566 with beds near the door. My stateroom attendant was very good no problems at all, he kept ice in my parents cabin, and as always had the cabin made up in no time.

Both my Mom and I needed assistance to get onboard and Royal has this down to perfection. Once we got to the pier one of my sisters went to find out where we should go. The is a sitting area right near the doors to wait in. So my Mom & Dad, myself and Sister & BIL waited there the rest of the family waited in the rather long line they told us the whole family could board together but we didn't want to take advantage of this service. So within about 15 minutes they came with wheelchairs and took us around the long lines into a line for wheelchairs and such. Our group of 5 were checked in and on ship within 20 minutes, once on board we went to the Champagne Bar to wait for every one else, they were all there with in 20 minutes.

So we had a drink or 2 then went to our cabins. So of the luggage was already there. I had my 2 pieces of luggage and Walker by 2:00. So I unpacked for the week - side note I used packing cubes for the first time and it was wonderful and made unpacking and repacking a breeze. Went to the Muster Drill then back to our Cabins and Balconies for Sail Away. We had the late seating for dinner, we only ate the there on the first night and the Second Formal night as a group the rest of the time we all did different places. Though one night we all ate at Chops. Service and food were great everyone enjoyed.

Will write more later. I do have the Cruise Compasses for the week. If anyone would like a copy let me know and I can scan and email to you.

We will be on 8/20 sailing same itinerary. Would love to see daily compasses

  2. I'm on the Allure of the Seas -October 1 Eastern.

Does anyone know the days and times of the parade? Are there one or two parades during the week?

    Thanks!

Hi - if you do a search for Allure cruise compass which is the daily activity flyer it will give you an idea. I read you can reserve a table in the Rising Tide Bar for best view. there is a charge but if you want a good view it is an option - we are booked on Allure in Aug 2017

  3. We are flying into Fll for a cruise leaving out of Miami. Staying the night in Ft Lauderdale and wondering what would be the easiest way to get to the Miami cruise port in the morning. We were thinking of renting a car. Are there any car rentals near the port that would shuttle us to the ship after we drop off the car? Or does someone have a better idea?

    Thanks for any info!

SAS Transportation, great service $15 per person, if your party is more than 6 it is $12 per person. We used this service many times. Make reservations, call once you get out of baggage claim/or customs

  4. Just on Allure for the 10 day holiday cruise to be welcomed by the comforting embrace of a 2 dollar charge for a Gin Fizz from the Pub bar........!!!!!!!! Apparently, a Deluxe Package doesn't stack any more for a Gin and sugary condiments. Seriously.....apparently RCI have decided on new menu's and new prices as of today.......JUST outside of the deluxe payment band....oh and don't get me started on the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc that is now $17 a pop. Happy Christmas one and all.....

Someone posted Allure bar menu pics it is shows domestic beers are $7.25. Can anyone confirm.

  5. My husband and I are going on the Carnival breeze in a few months. We purchased the new Carnival cheers program that includes almost every kind of drink up to $50. The program cost $50 a day plus 15% tip. We are looking for ways to make the pre-paid drink program have the most bang for our buck. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

I mix in a couple of mimosas

  6. Hey all,

Just logged into my cruise planner (not for the first time), and noticed that I have $50.00 OBC for my November FOS cruise. It definitely wasn't there before, not upset at all haha, just kind of confused.

I did mention my unhappiness with the newly announced room service charge on social media, maybe that is why - but I never received any notification or indication that anything was being done for those who had already booked, so I don't think that's it.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Same here for my Aug 20 Allure, the other four cabins I am travelling with did not. My res # is not linking with the other four so I am thinking this has something to do with it. I talked to both RCL and TA about my res issue. Neither told me I would be receiving this. It just showed up. I will take it

  7. DW and I really enjoy RCI but thinking of changing things up by going on an 8 day, Carnival Sunshine cruise out of Orlando, Grand Turk, San Juan, St Kitts and St Maarten in Nov 18. Looking to hear from die hard Carnival cruisers, did we make a good choice? Thx!

Hi, I guess you can say I am a loyal Carnival cruiser since most of my 17 cruises were on Carnival. With that said I have been on two RCL cruises and found that the experience is similar. Food, buffets, restaurants, shows are similar but different but not enought to say one is better than the other. RCL desing is like a nice hotel built on or around a bunch of shops and restaurants. CCL is more like a Beaches resort, lots of pastel colors.

  8. Hi, we did Tulum with CCL from Cozumel. I does take the entire time you are in port. It was very interesting the the guide Pamela was great and passionate about the history. The only draw back is the ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen, it was a rough ride. I have read there are times it is a smooth ride, chance you take.

  9. We are considering 4 night pkg as well, from what RCL rep told me, you select the time you want to dine when you purchase it in your cruise planner. You will only be given the choice of day 1 or day 2. RCL will select the venue for the first night (either night 1 or night 2) at the time you selected. The time selected will be the same time for the remaining nights but you get to choose the venue. However, once on board you can change time and location, based availability.

If I am wrong please expand so I know what to tell my cruise mates. Thanks
