  1. We don't dress them up...but I do make my own. Much to the laughter, surprise, and sometimes horror (we were on for Halloween) of the cabin attendant. 😄
  2. Arrival at terminal at 11 am. Walk onto to the ship time can vary dramatically due to various circumstances.
  3. Thanks again for the updates! And that's OK on the hot tub/pool. We never use the "bacteria soup" kettles ever anyway. 🤢
  4. Indeed insanity on the pricing. Though to the opposite direction...the cutbacks are becoming unreal as well. Offer much less for more. 🤑
  5. Good idea...though my four bags are going to packed to the gills for the WC in a few weeks. 😉 Though I did opt for the foam topper, which I am packing in favor of a couple of pillows. Maybe need to wander down the hallway and pilfer a couple of those from the high end suites. 😄 😄 And in case some don't have a sense of humor...yes...I am kidding on the pilfering. 😝
  6. From 5-8 (assuming you are full suite) the drinks are the same using vouchers or their included offerings. We had no problem with asking for, and receiving "the good stuff" while on board Wonder in the SL last week. Trouble is, we had no way of knowing if the zero amounts that showed up on our account were from using vouchers or included SL happy hour drinks. But we never go over our six drinks a person anyway...so free is free to us. 😉
  7. I did manage to book my long awaited Alaska Radiance cruise for 2025...luckily came out while on Wonder last week, to score some extra OBC. 😉
  8. Heads up on the selection of the "free beer/wine" during the 11 -11 for full suites. DH used to enjoy his Heineken and Stella for that time slot, now it is limited to canned (U.S) domestic cheap beer. And the wine...OMG...awful!! It's their own label brand. Really bad. Luckily had plenty of vouchers to use during those hours. This was the case on Wonder last week. Not sure if all Oasis class ships have gone to that, but I am assuming they have. Yet another RCI cut back. 😖
  9. Definitely not slowing down either. Anxious waiting to fill up 2026 now. 🙂
  10. Good idea as well! I use my hook magnets on the ceiling, hanging stuff on them to air dry. 🙂
  11. Thanks! Indeed...really confusing as to the laundry machines. At first we (the lowly quarter leg cruisers) were told we could use them. Though we are actually on half of the WC (first and last quarter) we apparently are banned. Drats...I was hoping to leave my "do it yourself" laundry equipment out of the checked bags...but..it is what it is. Back to the beating of my clothes against a rock in the stream. 😄
  12. Regular balcony? We will be on deck 8 balcony (could not get a JS or above even booking as soon as offered to quarter pax). I have heard different stories about how hard the new mattresses are. Still plan on bringing my foam topper...since I already have it packed anyway. 😉
  13. I have a very compressed/compact new foam topper packed already in my extra duffle bag. Not taking any chances. 😉
  14. Very much so. 😉 Laura is flying back with us from LA to Orlando after first quarter, sitting next to us on the flight. We will rejoin in Barcelona for 4th quarter, and Laura rejoins in Copenhagen. John doing all 274 days.
  15. Hey...we resemble that remark!! 😄 These old bones will have to spend some time ducking back into the cabin for a nice warming beverage when we tour Antarctica and the passage. 🥶
  16. They (and we) are on the WC next month. We are all cruising the LONG way around from Miami to LA. Orville is taking the shortcuts. 😄
  17. I noticed not too many like deck 7. 😉 For the uninformed...you cannot cross over near the aft elevators/stairs from port/starboard and back. The cross walkway is blocked by the Broadway sign.
  18. I always stay away from 14...right under the pool deck...noisy. Decks 10-12 a fav.
  19. Yeah, you ended up with an even better deal than we did! 🙂 But I have no complaints. It was a fantabulous 4 weeks last year, plus was able to do so when the pricing was fair.
  20. Which is sad actually when you think about it. I used to book very early, and then watch pricing before final to snag the price discounts, which I did quite often. Now...sigh...those are a thing of the past. Indeed...pricing out of control. Wonder: Last year GS cabin 1770 End of Oct & Nov 2 weeks Med staying on for 2 weeks TA.... 5-6 K each week. This year, same cabin, same time of the year, 2 weeks: 8 and 9 K. Next year, same time, same cabin, 2 weeks: 11 & 12 K. Opted out. Pricing on new Icon and Utopia......yikes.
  21. That was the first thing that we noticed the first time we went through the canal....the hundreds of ships waiting to go through...wow! But that was also before they put in the new locks.
  22. I am guessing, since Serenade is actually so much smaller than those super tankers that they really made the bigger locks for...that you will be in the older locks. They have more charm anyway. 😉 Enjoy the transit! 🙂 Look out for those huge Gators that love cruising through! 🐊
  23. As was ours this morning off Wonder. Followed concierge out to ding out, found bags, facial recognition at customs, into our little SUV all taking 15 minutes total. Not bad. 🙂
